I remember when I took Advanced Computer Graphics last semester, they had just revamped all the computers in the lab rooms with Windows Vista, but our teacher was moaning about how she had wanted them to update them into Macs instead.

I think everywhere uses PCs in school and stuff, though media programs on my campus have Mac labs. PCs handle their RAM a lot better and are cheaper and people are more exposed to the OS. A Mac might not shut down or freeze when you're working on an image but the program could crash. Windows and Mac OS have about an equal ratio of faults and virtues I find.

We have the same at our high schools, eMacs. Also, I agree with the pros & cons, I've always wished I had a better OS that wouldn't be handicapped in certain places.. And I'm getting really tired of the constant bickering between my friends about how "ur computer sux hurr".

That's crazy, XP is fine for school computers. Hell, L.L. Bean JUST updated to XP from 2000 about a year ago.

Someone at school asked me what kind of a laptop they should get, because they're thinking about getting one. I asked him what he's into. He said he was going to basically use it for internet and music.

I wasn't too sure which was better for that, so I expressed that I didn't know but to go for a PC.

Was I close?

Like, I forgot which is better for music: PC or Macs.

The both literally have equal ups and downs for everything, it just comes out to what you prefer.

In the end, he's going to be using it for lots more than just internet and music anyway.

Yeah, for net and music they are basically exactly the same thing. In fact, anywhere with files like that, mp3, psd, mov, yadda yadda yadda. Playing and viewing files makes no difference, the difference is programs like editing those mp3s, movs, etc.

Though if you were to get a lot of music it'd probably be good to get less viruses, on the mac. But the viruses you get through music are pretty feeble anyway.

eMacs.

Ew.

I already posted this in my birthday thread, but I feel the need to show off once more.

Seasons 1-3A of Entourage. I just need Season 3B and I'm solid.

He's REALLY REALLY dumb. When I put food in there, he knows its there, but he can never find it. So he just swims around biting at the surface of the water in random spots until he gets the food. Quite fun to watch.

I recently heard that all white tigers have down syndrome and that's why they are white. But I think that's a load.

Edit: I just googled it and didn't have to click a link before getting my answer; Many white tigers have DS because people inbred them so much (to keep them white).

OMG those things... I remember in my phys-ed class in grammar school our teacher MADE us play with those things. They're fun for the first 10 minutes... but get 20 of them going off at the same time then they get pretty annoying real quick.

I don't know what she was thinking... Then again this was when I was in 5th grade or so... They might have been supplied. In any event... I thought that it was a poor choice of an activity to do in a class where you're supposed to be running and jumping and the like.

Nope. Yours looks a lot softer, and the inside camo is smooth instead of stitched.

Plus, that old thing finally became too tatterred to wear. I have a grey one now, as seen in my scooter salesman video, the first day I wore it.

I'm working on a huuuuge art project right now... my greatest project yet.

I'm not making it in Art class, I'm making it in a Tech class. Using wood on a lathe.

I've been working on it for a month right now and I'm barely a quarter done... but, even though my teacher considers it as a project, I consider this to be a piece of art. It must be perfect, and when it is, it'll be added to my collection of stuff.
