Character creation was a good idea implemented horribly. Actually, my friend forgot to give me his PS2 memory card when he lent me the PS2 (which I have sketchily rigged to work with old iBook parts) so when he gave it to me he gave it to me in the SC3 case, so I guess I'm borrowing that too. Might have to try it again. Posted on: 30 June 2008, 22:59:59
I have to take that back a bit. I just popped in Soul Calibur III on PS2 today (friend lent it, with the rest of that stuff) and I'm playing it a bit right now. I've successfully created a DAMN good looking Mikero twice (one as a ninja, and one as a monk, because ninjas don't have the option to use nunchucks in it so I need both a swords & shuriken version and a nunchuck version) and I've been playing on free practice with him/them. And he is sweeeeet. But I remember it being worse than this when it came out (last time I played), so maybe a lot of stuff was unlocked. I also remember what you could do with created characters wasn't all that hot, so maybe that's it. I'll re-explore the game. The character creation is well made, but if you can't really use them well then it's no so hot.
