Yeah, I'd give you business, and as Mike said, it's not just because it's for you, it's because they're going to be wicked sculptures regardless.

Sculpture is almost done (the base model, which I will make molds from).

Wish I had a camera to document this...

Posted on:  1 June 2008, 20:09:03

I modified a few things, but:

This is not the final product, this is in fact what I will be making the molds from. These also aren't the colors I will be using (what you see is just the color of the Clay and Super Sculpey).

Cool, what are you sculpting it with, clay? It looks soft like play-doh or clay when it's wet. But clay would dry too fast for this, I think.

I used Clay (white) and Super Sculpey (peach and the red).

Oh OK. What I hate about working with clay is it seems to always dry out on me faster than everyone else. Maybe my hands absorb moisture like it's on sale or something.

But time can be spatial... It's just not perceivable in the third dimension... I don't know how to explain what I mean at all right now. Nevermind.

Time is generally accepted among physicists as the 4th dimension.

Tragic news: The model has been destroyed while attempting to make molds of it. I will have to rebuild it and make an attempt some other time.

However, I have this to show with two more on the way:

4 different panels. Some of which have been cut off during the scanning process.

That is sick, but it's too bad about the model! Was there an air bubble inside or something? I've seen a lot of people's stuff blown up because of air bubbles.

That is beautiful stuff, man. I can't stress enough how talented you are.

Such a shame about the model. That really sucks. If anything, it means the new one will be better because this time you've already made it once and know what you did well and what you did wrong. Experience, you know.

Some of the pieces had air bubbles, some of the smaller/finer pieces crumbled while inside the liquid latex (and I have no idea why).

I'm just going to have to use a different material.

It's just Rez trying to sound hip, hence the word "tight." He heard the kids today like Avatar, so he's probably going to see that new James Cameron movie and assume that's what everyone's been talking about.

Actually, it's too easy to make old jokes - I say we take a break for a few months.

Let's make fun of the rabbit.
