THANK you!
It's pretty obvious something isn't a pie when it doesn't even have crust on the TOP.

Well, there is the subcategory of commercial pie that has whipped cream on top instead of a crust.
And then, there're quiche.
Quiche.

I'm pretty sure the whipped cream goes on top of the crust that's on top, no? I'm not a pie enthusiast though.
Quiche is bleh.

I have no idea.
What am I doing talking about pie like I know what I'm talking about? I never eat pie. I'll stop talking now.

Pizza is neither pie nor cake. It has more in common with a naan.

Agreed.
And damnit, how many times do I have to say it?
CAKE DOES NOT HAVE CRUST, EW.
Pie has crust.
Cheesecake has crust in the same way that pumpkin pie and those others that were mentioned do, even though it's not traditional crust.
This pie crust has filling, which when poured is liquid. It then hardens when cooled and is served as such.
Cheesecake is Pie.
This is my deep seeded belief.

This is not really related but I just thought of it; I
really
hate cake's that have a layer of custard in the middle. Why does that ##### even exist?

A pudding in a crust.
Best answer I've heard yet.

Cheesecake is delicious.
It is not pie.
It is not cake.
End of story.
Go home.
