You should have the next panel when Lincoln comes in and have it say "READY" before he teleports in.

Dialogue on this one is going to be highly refined, it's too superfluous and repetitive... I had it all written about but I started changing ##### around and now... whatever. I'll fix it when I'm not tired.

ANYWAY: EXPOSITION! (I think this page will maybe never not make me laugh.)

EDIT: This is a revised version of page 5, with the narrative being a little more succinct and clear. The funny part is, there's STILL some things I'm not satisfied with so I'll go back and tweak the text again later.

I come back after 2 months and this is what I find?

I love you.

But for serious, this is AWESOME, better than I ever thought it could be, with or without me. It's gonna be a hit.

Yeah, I don't quite know what you're getting at, John.

IN OTHER NEWS:

Here's a nice little way to read all of the first six pages of The Simple Complex all in one place (that's right, excited ladies and gentlemen, I said six - there's a new one! Oh joy!) .

Also, all the old pages are touched up and fixed and whatever in terms of tiny details like phrasing in the dialogue/narrative, little things in the art that were bothering me, etc... Also, I made a cool Star Wars-style logo for TSC!

But yeah, here:

New page.

Just a few more and then I'm gonna' see if I can force myself to go into the dark until the first issue is done.

And one more page, introducing two of my favorite characters:

The other half is the main character/narrator, Adam Cooper. Or Adam Lovell. Or Adam Auwers. His last name is up in the air right now, but in the last three or four incarnations of the story, it's always been Adam Cooper.

bubblegum bitch make me hurl long-time

Nice skills, though, A-Robb.

I went on your site to add your webcomic to my list of RSS feeds because I've never used them before and I've discovered how awesome they are and I saw your twitter update drawing attention to your act of drawing boobs and I think it's silly how you're apparently self-conscious about it but that's why everyone loves you.

The boobs are huge, which is good, but I really like the knees. They're honest knees.

I go for the knees more often than boobs, really.

Have you had alcohol too?

Tits are my number one focus.
Hers are just too fake for me to care about. Natural is where it's at.

Real cartoon tits are hard to come by.

I was kidding about knees. I'm a big fan of neither.
I mean I'm willing to admit to my own sexuality but there are just other things that appeal to me more.

I'm a big fan of no bras and hard nipples. Good stuff.

Possible design for the lead protagonist:

His appearance is loosely inspired by Donald Glover, if you can't tell. During the writing, I was having trouble distancing the character from myself - many, many aspects of the character are based on me, but I'm trying to separate as much of him from myself as I can. Giving him a drastically different look - and race - have already helped me accomplish this.
