I noticed that every time there was an interesting article, there'd be a thread about it. Here's one thread to rule them all.

My contribution:

That made me smile. I'll look at it more later, but I skimmed through.

You already knew about it because I posted this at Tewisel's board last week.

To clarify, the surfer does have a PhD in theoretical physics.

But it's an awesome theory, which is based on some really simple, elegant things (okay, simple in how it fits together, but it's really hugely complex).

A current event is that in a mere 18 hours, we have gotten 47 members, had 30 online at once at 3AM last night, made over 1100 posts, and already started a comic jam and contest.

Yay us.

I post in a forum called Current Events.

It's not about Current Events. And anyone who goes there is called a CEman.

Just thought I'd like to share that. >_>

Usually you hear about that sort of thing happening in the Southern US (don't get upset, kids, I live there myself).

Looks like her counter didn't work :\

Ha, the bottom thread in the AOB section? I've got to revive it for this:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080118/ap_on_re_us/child_dead_overpass

This is sick. I want to know more about that guy, he seems certifiably insane.

That reminds me when I heard some guy was babysitting. He couldn't get the kid to shut up so he took a bat and beat him to death.

I don't think he was 5-years from what I heard, but the kid he beat was a baby that wouldn't stop crying. He was watching TV while the baby was crying, so he took a bat, busted it's brains out, then went back to watching his program.

It's sick.

There's another one I read in the local newspaper. Some guy was arrested for animal cruelty. He took his cat, cut off it's tail, microwaved it, and ate it.

HOWEVER, there was a comical side to this story...

There's nothing wrong with not treating animals like #####, but PETA goes too far too often.

PETA would get pissed if I killed a dog that bit me.

Well if a dog bites you that's one thing but if it bites you because it's rabid that's another.

PETA idiots don't have a problem with sending a man to jail, leaving his family and kids alone, because he 'neglected' his dog, a dog that has natural survival instincts. WTF
Yeah, and you don't see PETA helping in African famines. In fact, their twisted minds tell them they shouldn't slaughter cattle to feed poor hungry people in major starvations. Slaughter a cow? a #####ing cow? They'd rather see a family die.
#####ing wannabe high class elitists.
Here is a real quote: "Even if animal tests produced a cure for AIDS, we’d be against it."
