Well, about 5 minutes ago I popped in a game cartridge and turned on my DS. But for some reason it didn't turn on, I turned on the DS without the game cartridge and it worked.. for about 3 seconds, and off it went.. I tried to charge it but the orange light only stays on for about 1 second. I'm thinking theres something wrong with the battery? This is really bothering me, since I don't want to buy another DS...

Anybody know whats wrong? I could really use some help.

Try removing the battery and cleaning the copper contact points with a dry cloth. It helps when my phone decides to act up, so it might help here.

Those things are just "game cartridges" like any other game cartridge, they don't do anything to the DS itself except let it run them.
