Anyone else catch him on the Daily Show the other night?

Or the name of his book? >_>

I saw a bit of it once and was not impressed.

Someone as awesome and funny as Lewis Black ought to have a better show than that.

Ugh, I was gonna' say this earlier but I forgot what thread we were talking about Lewis Black in, and was too lazy to look.

Lewis Black is a GREAT comedian, agreed hands down, but his show, The Root of All Evil, sucks horribly. Lewis just makes a very cheesy sarcastic comment every once in a while, and it's pretty painful to see him reduced to that.

Sometimes the show is funny, which makes sense, since Comedy Central commissioned it for a reason, but it doesn't do Lewis justice.

Comedy Central has few good shows that THEY do anymore. Or at least from what we get, and from the few I see from that.

I mean, Daily Show and Colbert Report are great but I basically don't watch them at all anymore.
Chappelle's Show was so divine it made the titular head of the show completely freak the ##### out over it all.

Mencia can eat a fat dick. And probably does.

Well, for a long time they pretty much hid behind South Park's success and didn't really throw much else out there aside from Reno 911 and Chappelle's Show.
So, at least they're trying these last few years.

Drawn Together was great at the beginning but it's slowly gotten worse and just generally leaning more towards just plain obscene rather than funny. I didn't hate The Sarah Silverman Program. Stella was lame but decent. That Halfway Home show was okay, too, but that got cancelled. So did Stella, I think. Whatever.

I still haven't seen The Gong Show, and the few minutes I saw of "Reality Bites Back" weren't horrible.

I watch The Daily Show and Colbert Report spontaneously. If they happen to be on, I'll watch them.

Unless I specifically want to watch something else, I usually just leave it on Comedy Central. It's my default channel.

Oh yeah, I love Reno 911. When posting I wasn't sure whether or not Drawn

Together was Comedy Central, so I omitted my opinion. But I thought it was only OK, better at the beginning yeah. Some funny stuff in newer episodes, that whole cereal one was great. But still...

I liked first season of Sarah Silverman Program a lot, and I saw the first episode of season 2, I can't remember it but I thought it wasn't bad. Didn't know that was a Comedy Central produced show.

Stella grew on me. It was like a huge inside joke, so you had to watch it enough times. I liked it enough after that, but it wasn't amazing or anything.

Same thoughs on Daily Show and Colbert Report.

Haven't seen the rest.

Most shows starring (a) (semi-)famous comedian(s) and are more than your average normal sitcom are from Comedy Central.

I didn't know there was a Season 2 of The Sarah Silverman Program. I'll look into it, I probably just missed it entirely.

I might one of the few heterosexual men on the planet to like Kathy Griffin, and 2 episodes of her show have been on back to back tonight. I quite like it. i don't know if that's Comedy Central or what.

I just checked and it's part NBC's offshoot network, Bravo. Which like no one I know actually watches (I'm watching it on Comedy). It's not an old show, it started in like 2005 and is still going. It's a reality show based on her trying to get more famous and life stuff, it's called "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List".

The Daily Show and Colbert Report are on CTV for some reason after midnight and at four PM.

We watch them nightly.

Mostly because I can't sleep.

You'd think CBC would have the most broadcasting power and therefore the clearest picture.

CBC is nationwide, but you're not in the nation so it makes sense you don't get it. It is the BBC of Canada, not to be confused with BBC Canada or BBCK (kids), which is just the BBC setting up shot in Canada and showing British stuff. CBC is just like, the mega Canadian channel that used to be radio and all that stuff.

CTV has some great stuff (Corner Gas!!) and some crap stuff (Little Mosque On The Prairie).
CityTV is up and down randomness. Sometimes it's wicked, and often it is not.

They come on weekdays back-to-back at 11PM on Comedy Central here in regular-land.

It's the same on Comedy in Canada. She's just using the butthole channels, for good reasons as the good channels aren't good cheap.

We have BBC America here, but it never seems to be anything remotely interesting. I just find British shows I like through word-of-mouth and then I either watch them online or buy them on DVD if available.

Well, last I checked they still showed Stargate SG-1 reruns, so there's one positive.

I mean that it will show a good program or movie once in a while, seemingly totally at random, and then other times it will informercials, phone-sex ads, or just crap programming no one cares about. It's very weird.

Comedy Central airs Girls Gone Wild infomercials nightly after 11PM, I believe. Maybe 10PM.

It's the same one for a few months, and then they switch it. One of them was airing for a really long time, and I watched Comedy Central so much that I actually memorized it and could perform the entire commercial as it aired, much to my friends' delights. There was a part where a midget came out of the water in a snorkel and held up two thumbs up and said "AWESOME!" and it was pretty much just that. Awesome.

If I ever make a TV-show, my ending tack-on-clip that plays after the credits would be that midget popping out the water with a thumbs up saying "AWESOME!" surrounded by babes.

And yes, Mike. Because I watch Comedy Central so much.

This is the FIRST pop-culture-related avatar I've ever had, that I can remember. Usually I just use either my own drawings or designs, or something somebody else made for me here. So bear with me.

I changed it back to Wind's thing because I didn't like the Rorschach one anyway. It doesn't feel ME.

Here's what it was, though, to those who care:

To be fair, I did it too but on MSN. For a few hours. Then decided to rethink that when I saw everyone else also doing it.

I used a screencap I took from the youtube version of the trailer, it was of Rorschach's face in the same scene, but the close up where the water drops off. It's was very hard to tell what it was in 100x100 pixel form, though.
