Just don't work in a restaurant department and you should be OK. Delis seem to be OK but that's for girls. Cash is stressful but I guess it's good, but generally only the good looking chicks and like 2 megametro/kindagay guys work cash. Bakery and meat are anyone's, but fish department will leave you smelling funkay. Packer/Service Clerks are the bitch of the store but it doesn't seem as bad as those people seem to complain about (but I was in the literally worst department, trust me). I think Produce is the best one, 'cause that one seems like just a bunch of cutting, washing, and other prepping of produce and putting it out. Oh and also being a d-bag seems to be in the job description.

I worked as a gas jockey.

I've met like, 6 rude customers, and I've worked for an entire year.

I also worked with really nice coworkers.

I just recently quit, but only because I hated everything I had to do. It was fine the first few times but the job is horrendously repetitive, I never ever had anything new to do. It was always take out the garbage, sweep the shop, mop the shop, measure the gas, and till out, all with some pumping gas and selling some candy in between. And the hours... I had to work from 4-11 on weekdays and 2-11 on Saturdays. I worked four days a week too, so I rarely had time for myself.

Yeah, yeah, BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWW, but I'm happy that I'm done. Saved up enough money for college, I think. It's a shame, though, because I really liked working with some of the people there.

Yeah, what you described is some pretty solid work. I wouldn't want to work those hours, though, and to be honest, I think that's what probably killed it for you. Still, consistently bearable is MUCH better than spontaneously crappy.

You're probably right... the hours are what I hated most about the job.

It's funny, I got a raise to $8.25 an hour about 6 months after working, but then the minimum wage was raised to $8.25, and my raise was never factored in after that.

I really didn't mind, because I was still making the same amount, though.

Doesn't help that the restaurant is at one of the province's biggest tourist attractions, although they're saying we're not having as many customers this year, due to the price of gas. Which is fine by me...

I guess it equals out with some of the stores around here refusing to lower the prices because they still want to make more money.

 For once I'm gonna have to be a tool and say I want the new iPod nano, they just came out with one and I actually really like it. Its like the newer nano video, but doesn't look like ass. Theres some new neat features too, they're average price for an iPod and come in 8GB and 16GB. I'll probably sell my current one for a cool bill or more, and then pick up this one.. I really feel bad that I'm jumping onto that #####ty iPod bandwagon where everybody gets the new iPod because its the new iPod.

But it looks really, really nice..

I was just talking about this with my friend. I don't like that 2nd gen look, I liked the 1st gen best, which is what I have. I don't like the curvy sides. But I'm starting to need to get a new mp3 player and it does have some charm.

I like the white, green, and orange best. AbsoLUTELY hate the blue.

I've had my video iPod since they FIRST came out, and it's been stolen twice (miraculous that I got it back twice, one time it was gone for over a month and someone figured out who took it and got it back).

It's so scratched up and beat up because of whoever stole it, I take great care of my #####.

But yeah, it still holds up great and I don't think I'm ever going to need another MP3 player.

But for something like that, which I carry #####ing everywhere, I'd need to stick with something that is undeniably me; Classic.

And I never go out of style.

My nano is alright, but the poor battery is going (I have to charge far too often now), I need new headphones anyway, and sometimes it acts weird. But I also take really good care of my jargon.

Green goes great with every other shade of green (and every single shade of green rocks so hard), and it goes great with yellow, brown, and orange. Anything around that area.

Only ones I like are the silver, black and red. I saw them in Wal-Mart today, they were about 154.99, which is a jip because the Apple store sells them for 149.99 probably. And the white with black circle is Apples new style, the new iMacs have a black and white scheme to it, which is pretty awesome.

I agree on some parts, I liked the feel a lot better for the first one, but the 2nd gen is much better, battery and memory wise.

I like that green but I hated the generation 2 iPod nano green, which was a bad bright lime and didn't look good. Maybe it's just the photo but this one looks darker and nicer. Closer to a celtic green but still a bit limey, which is what I like. It actually looks almost like a delicious lime candy. Which I just realized is rarely ever truly lime in colour...
