Mega Man 2: Metal Blade

I'm not really familiar with the other games.

#1. It wasn't in 1 or 2.

#2. That's not a weapon technically.

It wasn't in 8 either really, given you couldn't use it in the stages unless it was a scripted area.

The rush jet from 3 was by far the best, you could fly anywhere.. the rest of the games had you going in one direction automatically..

Agreed. After 3, the Rush Jet became annoying to use... if you hit a wall or ANYTHING really, you'd fall to your death.

I always used it to get an extra step or whatnot in certain situations, reach places that couldn't be reached, you know.

I very rarely remembered to use it over pits unless it was painfully obvious.

You're thinking of Item 2.

Sorry to "bump" this thread.

My favorite weapon is definitely the Elec Beam from Mega Man 1. It packs a powerful punch, and goes in three directions. You have a pretty decent amount of it, so - for the most part - you can use it through an entire stage. Although, by the third Wily stage, I'm usually pretty low on it's energy. But that little item near the end (I can't remember what it's called) always fixes that problem.

Also, I always like using it in the last little bit in the second Wily stage. SCORE MANIA :D

Same here.
It's the best for farming and running through levels.
It makes concrete man's stage a joke.

Pharaoh shot, its chargeable, very powerful and you keep it above your head to kill enemies, plus its multi-directional so a very handy weapon IMO

I don't know why, but it's just so much fun to kill the enemy behind you without turning around.  And I liked the Robot Master it came from, too.  That was a fun level, and a fun boss fight.

Those last two.
Magnet Beam.

I have no idea what you mean by copy vision (OK never mind Mega Man and Bass), but I suspect you never actually played Mega Man 2 because you didn't say metal blades even once.

In my life. I have only played MM8, Astro Crash hands down.

This weapon clones Megaman or Bass, which can be bashed into the enemy like a projectile.
As for me, my Top 3 weapons are:

3. Tornado Hold (Megaman 9)
2. Copy Vision  (Megaman & Forte)

and 1. Rolling Cutter (Megaman)
