This game will be coming out later this year and I thought I would bring it to your attention to anyone that cares.

This one actually looked to be pretty good from what I saw, though.

Well, the physics engine at least.

I've never cared for Star Wars games.

Just like Lord of the Rings.

I liked Jedi Outcast and the similar XBox one but they were only OK. I just liked the multiplayer, otherwise it was bleh city.

KotOR was good in that "We just borrowed ideas from the franchise" sort of way.

This, I don't know about though.

The graphics and the physic engine look rather impressive but it won't run on my machine nor do I think eye-candy alone is enough to make a good game these days, though they keep trying.

Most of the good Star Wars games (X-Wing, TIE Fighter, etc.) are from the DOS era, though the Dark Forces games managed to extend their awesomeness beyond the millenium mark with JK2.

I don't really like the Star Wars movies...But the games are a different story, I find most them very fun.

If they do it correctly, Star Wars: Force Unleashed will be epic on the Wii. Who doesn't like swinging a Wii-remote lightsabre around the living room? I mean...Seriously?

It was fun but not special. And wasn't really THAT challenging from what I remember. Should have more like Xtreme G.

Guilty.
I find most of Star Wars to be boring. Some games are less so.

I'm not really a fan of the franchise in the first place.

*notes that he, himself, has no recollection of the original releases, only the 1997 Special Editions, thanks to being extremely young in the early '90s*

The original movie was the best one...Anything out after that was unviewable if you ask me.

Star Trek blows them all away. Seriously.

Say what you want Star Wars has a weak plotline. They just throw a bunch of special effects, explosions, and people getting their limbs cut off to make it in some peoples minds seem "awesome" or "epic".

In the end....it ends up being a B rate movie with A rate special effects.

No. The Empire Strikes Back is undoubtedly the best of the franchise.

Also, I like both SW and ST, but Star Wars doesn't actually have a weak plotline. The original is entirely based on the hero's journey, and if you know anything about writing you'll know how important that is. The others get far more intricate and deeper, making the original look like it has less of a story.

To each is own. Everybody has an opinion and they are entitled to it.

Personally I like Star Trek better. But I'm not going to discriminate anyone who likes Star Wars.

Just stating an opinion...No offence.

I don't like Star Trek better or worse. The two things are completely different. Apples and oranges. I find it really weird when people compare two things that aren't similar at all except one detail (in this case it's outer space). Would you compare lightbulbs and speakers because they run on electricity? Not likely.

This coversation has already happened.

To each is own. Everybody has an opinion and they are entitled to it.

I am so seriously tired of hearing this line in threads. People say it all the time.

No one is ever saying any different from it when someone says that line too. There are times where Rez, or I, or someone will be like "No. Your opinion is wrong. Go eat head cheese" and no one actually says this "everone has a right to an opinion blah blah hippie blah blah" stuff but it seems to always come into play when people are just debating like normal people. So damn weird.

Anyway no one with two thirds minus x divided by three quarters of a brain ever actually gets offended by someone elses opinion or thinks that other people aren't entitled to one.

I think it's just because not a lot of people here actually say "in my opinion" when they state their opinion. People in other (lesser) boards have to reduce themselves to outright saying it to appeal to a dumber crowd, rather than confidently asserting that their opinion is correct like real debaters. Here, people seem to care less about holding a kid's hand and guiding him/her/it through their entire argument, and that's fine. I know I used to say it a lot, too, and that's just how I saw it when I did. I knew people were going to take it as me spouting off my opinion as fact, so I tried to prevent that. Now, I don't care.

But yeah, I agree completely.

It should generally be assumed that through the action of posting it self you're giving your opinion.

I'm sorry; IN MY OPINIONNNNN it should generally be assumed that through the action of posting it self you're giving your opinion.

Yes, it should be assumed, but I understand why it often isn't, so I always cut people slack when explaining it to them.
