I tried to get in and it wouldn't let me. I was pissed! I was imagining all of the fun. I joined, and sat in the waiting room for the entire match while it said you guys were "Brawling". Then I tried again and it said that I couldn't join because one of my friends changed their status. Whatever that means.

Still lagging like mad, does anyone know how to fix that? I have a good connection.

What I did was upgrade my Router's firmware.  Then it worked like a charm.

What I did was I went to the website for my router that being Netgear and looked it up.  Make sure the model number is present.

Just for reference:

Sano uses mainly Lucario, Wolf, and Kirby.
Xero uses mainly Jigglypuff.
Nova uses mainly Falco and Captain Falcon.
ASR uses mainly Yoshi, Bowser, and DeDeDe.

I'm very good and versatile with Yoshi and Bowser.

That's debatable. Most people I know still played Melee regularly right up until Brawl came out here, so I'm sure Brawl will last quite a long time. Especially when you throw in the online stuff.

So, basically, don't worry.

JUST TO LET YOU ALL KNOW:
We had a wireless router/gateway, it died today, we're using the regular modem we have, and I'm trying to run the Wii through my computer that way.

Connection may be slower, connection may not work.

I can't to get the Wii to see my computer.

Upgraded firmware (In a long, painful process in which I had to connect to my neighboors internet from my laptop).

Still iffy on the connection. Sometimes I just randomly can't connect. We will see how it affects the lag.

It's an $80 gateway/router.
A firmware update should NOT kill it....

I contacted Actiontec (the peeps who make these for Verizon), hopfully they can help.

I went through that whole huge process, and it WORKED. And now it doesn't.

I fought Lunchebox and  it was a very good match.  I won but barely.  I also sent some replay data to you guys.

Xero, do you have any other tips on making my internet not suck? You saw, it worked like a charm for that one match.

I promise you I am not the lag problem. I've yet to experience any major lag except for BOTH times you joined a match with me.

Other times is with a friend across town, but he has a crappy connection.

Who the heck is Zool? I know it's a MegaMan fan because one of their taunts was "JUSDIEEEEEEE."

Who likes my "I HAT U DIEDIEDIE!" taunt? I reserve it for you guys only.

EDIT: I think most of the freezes I had in my 1v1 with 'Max' are associated with my dad hogging all the bandwidth playing COD4. Sorry :(

A lot of my deaths last night were due to accidental self-destructs, like falling into holes with things like Yoshi's Down+B, Bowsers Down+B, and DeDeDe's Up+B.

Alrighty, I changed the channel on the router. That seemed to make a difference, now join my game.

Bwa ha ha ha ha, I beat "Fatso" like 8 times and then he quit. It was awesome. I used a different character each time.
