I seriously hate how cheap you are Vinni.
You always use Sonic and then just spam his moves that make him invulnerable, you never leave any chance to be hit. That's really unfair.
Also, you almost always use a 3rd party character, and it's extremely obvious that their strength is far greater than that of all the 1st party characters.
Cheeeeeeeeeap.

Also, Xero, enough with Jigglypuff, so freakin' cheap.

...

Jigglypuff... cheap? What?! Good, yes. Cheap, no.

Besides, the lag is so bad that Rest doesn't even work properly.

Good thing Sano beat me, I never use Zero Suit Samus. Ever. First time in a brawl.
Beating him while he was using Lucario would be disgraceful

I've been playing with a bunch of friends across town as Wario. I'm getting much, much better with him, and I'm adding him to my list of mains.

Wario is good fun. I like to use him at random but I'm not very good with him. I bet if I wanted to, though, I could get better.

I'm still sticking generally to characters with moves that take advantage of my 1337 B-button spamming skills (Luigi, Metaknight, NOT ICECLIMBERS THOUGH, I WILL NOT PLAY ICECLIMBERS)

You shouldn't whine if you lose. And don't blame your character; all the characters are pretty balenced, IMO.

...I don't normally whine when I lose.
I've lost to JC and OD plenty of times and never complained.
There's just something about how you and Xero fight that just pisses me off so much.

I hardly ever notice a delay. I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

There's either lag or there isn't. There's no delay otherwise.

If someone has a bad connection, it will be CHOPPY. That's lag. Lag isn't a delay in button controls and their responses, it's a delay in EVERYTHING, including animation and gameplay.

The game never goes into slow motion or whatever you're trying to say it's like.

When there's no lag, it plays the same as it would if you were right next to someone on the same console. When there is lag, it sucks horribly and everyone's timing is messed up and it's inferior.

Lag rarely happens to me, and if it does, it's for very short periods of time, or it's blaringly annoying so I quit, usually with OD.

Ok ASR, quit your ranting.

I DO feel a delay, just like Chaos says. It's very minimal and was annoying at first, but now I barely notice it. The game just feels a lot smoother when playing offline than online.

When you think about all the moves each character has, and you narrow it down to the most effective ones (that people spam), some characters just have more.
Captain Falcon's entire moveset is pretty powerful, while Olimar has maybe 5 really effective attacks (as far as I can tell).
[/my opinion]

Link is actually getting a bit boring for me, I know how and when to use his moves now, so I'm mixing it up, Zero Suit Samus is new to me, but she also is very limited.

Olimar is one of the strongest there is, but he's very hard to master. There's so many variables and things to think about at once that it's a bit overwhelming for me and I'll tackle him later. He's definitely one of the strongest out there, though. He'll be at the top of those stupid tier lists, trust me.

Huh.

Also, ASR, have someone else with a slow connection join your room, you'll have a "controller" lag.
If I join a game it's fine though.

Going from ZSS to Samus messes me up so much, you have no idea. I'll have to learn to get better with Samus cause otherwise I'll keep dying. D:

I honestly dislike getting the Smash Ball. It ruins my fun for some reason, makes things too easy.

But anyway, no more Brawl until Sunday night guys. Going to Thunder Bay for the weekend. :(

I'll still have internet connection, though.

I think the Smash Ball makes things harder for Wario.

Everybody just RUNS, but they have no need to really do so. WarioMan isn't going to kill anyone in one hit, and he isn't invulnerable.

You just spend all the time chasing the other people and then accidentally rocket your motorcycle off the stage at lightspeed.

OR MAYBE THAT'S JUST ME

Also, I really want to play you guys, but you put me off this whole "I main this character blah blah" cheaposity.

Wrong. You can always kill one person right away pretty much. Every time I got it with him, I was able to charge someone and punch their face off the side of the screen and then hunt down and sometimes kill the other guy (we were playing 3 player most of the day) and knock him when he's in the air or something. That first strike has to be instant before they can react appropriately.

Sano, are you serious? Stop bitching about being cheap, all you ever did was defend yourself for spamming kirby's down and B move. Which is the cheapest thing in the game.

And we would stop chatting so much about it here if we had Mchat or something. Anyone know whats up with that?

I don't like playing with the Smash Ball, since everyone STOPS WHAT THEY'RE doing, and goes after it.

Even though most Final smashes are kind of lame.

In my experience we pretty much fought normally, except the fight would move a lot more as we'd hit each other away from it while going for it. It's not like we stopped hitting each other to get it.

I'll check out WarioMan some more, then, Mike.

And I agree with Lunche about how everyone stops to go after the Smash Ball, but I think that's awesome and fun.

Oh, and Mike, the standard seems to be 5 Stock matches. That's always been my rules, and it seems like everyone else agrees.

Nope. 5 stock is far too long for me. I perfer 3 stock, that way there's a chance I can save the match as a replay.

I'm open to whatever rules people want.

Also, Fatso and I are the only guys I've seen use one character more than once or twice in a row. And we just have characters we prefer. I do switch around after a bit. I usually start off the first round of Smash with Luigi, though.

Easy answer: I use him because I like him? I don't know or care why anyone else uses him. In fact, I'm one to think he'd be a less popular character, so I don't even know what you're talking about when you say a lot of people use him.

But I totally get the using him because you like the character, thats why I play as Pit so much.

Peach's final smash is lame, hell, just pull out a bomb with link right before she activates, or down smash with Snake, or something.
The peaches will heal any damage you get from it.
