R20 previews! (must see)

I don't know if any of you have seen some of the pictures in R20; the massive picture book of MegaMans history, I have a couple of pictures and some websites that show some of the amazing and never before seen pictures. Some like Duo before he crash landed on earth, Zero and X without their helmet, and POTOMANS HAYR!!!1

It used to be different in MM3. The Rockman 3 commercial had Protoman with a huge chest and no helmet. Wonder what happened there.. : \

I cannot- and will not accept Zero or X as bald. I think those sketches were either prototypes or something for publicity. Hell, even in the "official" (note the quotes) mangas that I have both X and Zero are able to remove their helmets and they have a full head of hair.

Quote all you want, the manga is not canon.  Capcom approves all kinds of secondary market products, manga included.  None of what they do with it has any weight on the video game canon it's based on.  So when discussing an issue of canon baldness, citing the manga as evidence they have hair fails before you even start.

That's why official was in quotes. I know it's not canon however the manga does follow the games well enough; when certain calamities happen in the games- in the manga the same crisis happens for the same reason. The only real difference is that the manga has unofficial characters and new character motivations and quests that make the 'crisis' more believable. So the manga is close to the series but not close enough. I still refuse that they are bald all the same.

That's like arguing Chris Redfield uses a certain type of gun in RE because he used it in the movie.  Sure one is based off the other (no, seriously, the movies really do take 1 or two ideas from the games before it eats them, #####s them out onto manure, eats them again and then #####s them onto completely unrelated material), but you can't use that in any argument about the games.  It doesn't matter how close one is to the other, only the original source is canon.  The manga could portrayed Sigma as having a back hairier than a yack, but that doesn't mean he does in the games.

And speaking of Sigma, I remember in the manga he put those purple scars on himself, and looked REALLY creepy, having lips, and a big nose to boot.. *shudders*

Frankly, you're all saying it "only makes sense" that they do have hair there, but you're forgetting the fact that they are robots and not people; They could have easily been built with the helmets attached and non removeable. I can understand MegaMan having a removeable helmet since he was originally built without one in the first place.

And besides, those probably are just reference pictures drawn without hair so they could have a base and see how the helmets would fit over the heads during the design phase.

I don't even know why you would build a super fighting robot that could take his helmet off. It's like building a sword with an easily removeable blade that would just fall off in battle.

I think those are just references for the model kits they sold in the early 90s. I know because I bought like ALL of them (until the Gaea armor came out, at that point every single model became crap) and the drawing style on the box looked exactly like it does in the pictures. Also, when you're building the model, that's what the figures look like. The metal is black

If X and Zero don't have hair under their helmets then that leaves the door open that they don't have #####es in their pants.  And that leaves the door open that Iris doesn't have a vagina or boobs and then you start down a slippery slope that threatens the very foundation of the H we all hold so dear.

It's kind of like a big top circus tent. It's permanent, there's many silly obstacles around for people to try to hid behind and get on, and there's stadium seating for spectators.

I don't think so, the heart looks fine (except for TAS Roll) and one of the heart roll designs was actually featured in one of the MegaMan OVA's.
