[Corruption]

Just something I was expirimenting with in GIMP. I got some comments from my graphics idol, Wolfberserker (Not a member here). He said it was a good try, but the Text part is really screwed up. Anyway, tell me what you think. I don't read GIMP tuts. I'm self taught.

Yeah, the text is pretty yucky, and the banner looks too dark for my taste.

And personally, I don't like the Sacred Beasts, but that doesn't have anything to do with the banner really.

Yeah...the text is horrible. I don't know how to do fancy text of GIMP though. So I created a Logo and edited it.

Text doesn't necessarily have to be super fancy.  Sometimes the best designs are the most simplistic ones.  Try adding more brightness or less contrast, and then also go with a simpler font than what you have now.

Basically what's already been said but also the three images... Not so great. Yes they're dark and blah blah but they all have CLEAR edges showing on the sides when you're trying to make them look blended into one picture. The fire junk under the text is totally making it worse, the text becoming barely readable at the start and the flames just look #####. I'd replace that with plain black or something. The text has so many effects on it it's actually in a constant blur, which isn't ideal really.

Other than that I just don't like the character, but that's not your fault.

In my opinion flames and lightning effects tend to look really 2003'ish or so and are cheesy for me. It's well made for your first try but it looks too old school, not in an appealing way.
