Slusho.
... Slusho.

... what, do you live in a comic book that doesn't have the funds for logo placement?

Ha.

Isn't Slusho from Cloverfield which is supposed to have ties to Lost and Heroes? That would make sense as to why...

This will only be funny to people who have read Watchmen.

So... Nobody?

Yeah nobody. Nobody. Except the book has won a Hugo Award, it's on Time's 2005 list of "the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to the present", and is widely considered the best graphic novel of all time, a groundbreaking peice of work, and has effectively changed the comic book industry, creating the dark elements that are essential in comics and graphic novels today. But yeah, no one's ever read it.

I just think it's rich you (at least used to) read your Spider-Man comics and talk about good they were. They were best when he was dark, he was dark because of Watchmen.

It's a good book, don't be stupid about it based on no reasoning at all. I haven't read Twilight because I hate it, but I'll still admit that it COULD be good because I'm not enough of an ass to make one out of you and me.

But no, I didn't think that image was funny. I get it, and it's comical, but it's not funny. I have no idea if the movie will live up to the hype but I'm excited to see it anyway.

And yeah Alan Moore doesn't like ANYTHING, let alone his stuff being adapted to film. One would wonder why he even greenlights them doing that, then, but whatever. He has good reason since apparently League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen was bad and V for Vendetta gets mixed reviews.

Twilight exercise: Go to a bookstore, find a copy, and flip to a random page. I guarantee you will come across something laughably bad within a minute.

Movies with Alan Moore's stuff just haven't had much luck :/ V for Vendetta had a lot of shiny visuals, but it changed/cut out what I thought were some of the best scenes. League was a bit of a mess. I haven't seen the film for From Hell, but apparently that sucked as well.

I have a guilty enjoyment for Constantine. It's terrible and has nothing to do with John Constantine at all (and if I'm not wrong they mispronounce his name), but... Tilda Swinton.

If I ever allowed my work to be adapted into film, it'd be for money. I don't see any other reason.

I love Constantine. I don't see how it's a "bad" movie but OK. If it's 'cause it's not like the source material that's fine, I never read Hellblazer and probably never will.

I'm pretty sure they don't mispronounce his name though, because readers of Hellblazer say it the same way and it's usually the readers who are more anal about that stuff.

I think Constantine is pronounced to rhyme with tine (as in, fork tines) rather than teen. Don't quote me on it though.

I've long wanted those label-stickers they sell on xkcd that say things like "SELF-DESTRUCT" or "ARMAGEDDON" or "TRANSFORM" or "EJECT" or "CHAOS/ORDER" so I could put them on random buttons in my car.

So awesome.

What I really mean is that I want to just make my own since it's stupid to buy something that simple to make. And what I REALLY mean is that I wish I wasn't so lazy that I still haven't made them.

You can buy the materials for stickers at any local crafts store. It is not a difficult thing, and in some cases you can even put the material in a printer, thus making it even easier to make them.

Anyway, I've been playing around with G.E.C.K. for Fallout 3 because I've beaten the stuffings out of the game twice, so I figure I might as well make some interesting junk. It's a little awkward to use, and you have to boot the whole program every time you want to test something, but the end results can be pretty spiffy.

I was really unhappy that there were no laser weapons in the game. I don't mean the pathetic little traveling lasers you can see move; those suck. I'm talking about big beams of horrible rape that can destroy with a single sweep. Not an easy thing if you're working with the basic materials, but I found a way.

Behold.
The Hyperion Beam.

I need to figure out a better way to make the sound, but as is it looks really cool.
oh, and you kind of have to aim it away from the ground around you because it does have some AOE damage, and by some I mean enough to kill you after one second.

Awesome. And if I'd ever played Fallout 3 (which I will) I'd probably think it's even more awesome.

I used to pronounce Hermione like "Her-mee-own" when I was younger.

Sorry, for some reason I just felt like letting you know.

I pronounced it as "Herm-oyne" for the first book. No big deal.

It's prossible but it sounds weird to me. I'd look it up if I cared more but I realllllly don't.

Heh, the bacon button is an old joke, but I do it whenever I have a marker handy.
Which I never do unless I've been in a class or something.

If you can find this one:

It's a little more dangerous, but I like to write "TECHNO PARTY INSIDE" under them.

I've done the Press Button/Recieve Bacon thing twice, but I've never noticed a three-panel one.

I'm not one for graffiti but even the janitors probably didn't get mad.

I have no idea what episode of Lost this is a screencap of or even if it's FROM Lost, but I saw this and laughed, and figured it's worth sharing even if there's really no reason anyone should be cross-referencing these two shows (I know that's not the right usage of the word.)

If it's just for the competition and the dog gets to go back to normal after then I don't care but to leave a dog like for any substantial length of time is awful not because is in any pain or harm (it isn't) but because the dog is ugly and can help it and if you can help being ugly you probably should.

I don't get it.

It's from Family Guy. On the news they'll say something like "Here's Ollie with the Blackie Weather Report" and zip pan to this Black character who'll yell "It's 'gon rain!"

Ollie is a recurring character who is pretty much just that joke (not funny).

And Obama's presidency campaign tagline was "Change". Bing bang boom you have that image (snore).

I don't get Mike's comment, but I get the picture...

If you get the picture, I don't know how you can't get my comment.
