I've only really heard good things about Kung-Fu Panda, but I haven't seen it. Everything I hear about animated movies generally comes from animators so our view is different from yours. Maybe Kung-Fu Panda is just well made. I'm gonna watch it eventually though because the game for it came with my XBox.
And yeah that is just like Dreamworks, even if they do make some good stuff now and then. I'm really tired of 3D animated talking animal movies though. REALLY tired.
The animation was incredible, the enviornments were lush, and felt like old China. In fact, in China, they hailed this movie as one of the greatest movies about Chinese culture of all time. Also, the rest of you can all stop being humour snobs, the movie was very well written, and was pretty funny. I THOUGHT it would be terrible, due to the advertising around it, but this kid I was babysitting wanted to watch it, and it ended up being one of my favorite animated films. There were some scenes, dream sequences, Traditionally animated that were amazingly done as well, and, in fact, I kind of wished the movie was animated in that style. I still need to check out more stuff by that Character designer, because I think his stuff looked better before it was 3D. Also, all those signs by Craig, did anyone think it might be a joke about Craig's list?
