Ottawa, ON

Current: Clouds blockin' da sky! (Cloudy)
Current temperature: 64°F (18°C)

Today: It gon Rain! (Showers)
Low: 60°F (16°C)     High: 76°F (24°C)

Tomorrow: You gon get it! (AM Showers)
Low: 54°F (12°C)     High: 77°F (25°C)

I would rather it was cooler, even though that's just touching on warm.

Is the backboard/hoop floating in the air?

I think it was on one of those poles that goes horizontally out before going down to the ground. Like, in an upside down backwards "L" shape.

Who cares anyway, Tracks just got posterized by Prime!

I wouldn't try it, I doubt it would work. But I don't know, research it a bit. I saw a video of a guy making a plane using a single fly, without gluing the legs, which is supposedly important despite what the picture implies.

Am I the only one who is a tad sickened by that plane thing?
"Sit back and watch the happy flies playing with the plane!"
I think instead of happily playing with it they'd be frantically attempting to break free from the glue.
That's kind of a horrible thing to do, I know they're just flies, but they are living things.
I mean, when I was a wee lad I'd trap flies, I'd kill them, and sometimes I'd try and rip off their wings with tweezers just for fun, but this is just sick.

I lol'd.

Really, I don't like it either. But the guy who made the video had a way of releasing the flies afterwards so that's okay with me. I mean flies are very... um,  pestering pests, I wouldn't mind pissing off one or two of them in return for a bit.

Obviously the "happy flies playing with the plane" is a ridiculous joke, at the very least I can't imagine any intellectual in any field, be it aerodynamics or otherwise, actually seriously believing they're doing the flies a favour.

Another one of those David Thorne e-mail things like the MSPaint spider one. At least, I think it's the same guy. There's also a ton of other ones on the site that I might read later.

The David Thorne thing was great, but now that I know it's the same guy that did the spider and such things, I don't know. The sheer volume of these, coupled with them being on this site of his leads me to believe they're entirely fake, and he's actually writing both people. Maybe this is a known thing already but I wasn't aware it was the same guy.

Except she's a good singer.

I'm not going to say I'm OMG SO AMAZED unlike the entire Polish army of the Second World War [/sarcasm], but she can sing well. And that's pretty duh. I didn't need that Simon Cowell dude to know it, either, but he definitely helped validate my opinion.

I never understood that ad because if he was gay why would he be married to a woman? (thus, find out if your husband is gay). It just doesn't make sense...
