I made a panel in "as the WINDUH blows" where the team is wearing different Preventer's costumes, WW and Alex have usual clothes with the Preventer's symbol all over, Jake has a met helmet with the Preventer's symbol instead of the plus sign. And Snare, Snare has undies, with the symbol, of course.

And fire is basically my least favourite element in anything just because it's SO beyond over the top off the wall disgustingly over used as being wtf awesome.

When I was creating my brainchild, a comic that I might pick up and revise the plot of some day, fire was NOT that cool. Of course I based it on science and ##### so no one likes that.

Wind and I decided that I would be preventerNOTHING and would have absolutely no special powers or abilities and I'd be entirely useless and worthless.
HOW'S THAT FOR UNIQUE

Anyway, today was crazy.

Power outages all over town except my house, but I didn't know that until 10 minutes ago.
I left for a grad party around 2, and while I was there a storm came out of NOWHERE. Heaviest rain I've seen in a long time. We saw the rain across the lake, and there was enough time for someone to say "Look at the water down there! Is that rain?" before we were being blasted by death-torrents of heavy rainfall from the sky.
We ran inside and waited it out and it was really cool because of how crazy the wind was and how much rain there was.

As soon as it ended (about five minutes later and almost instantly) we went out on their boat and went tubing. The calm after storm means that the water is like glass. Tons of fun on the water. One of our friends has never tubed before and kept falling off and it was really funny.

Afterwards, we realized there was no power on this side of town. We went out to eat later and saw so many trees knocked over, and downed power cables, it was crazy. At 11PM it was like driving through a ghost-town. No traffic lights were working, there was no power everywhere, fallen trees were blocking the road in random places.

I was finally dropped off back at my house on the other side of town. I never even lost power. I know this because even if our power flickers off for an instant, a certain light turns on near some cabinet in the living room that nobody ever turns on in any other situation. Also, I had left a DVD on pause, and it was still there.

Both my parents are chain smokers, so I get it a lot.

Just my dad on my end, and they divorced when I was 10. But still.

It certainly sucks, you get used to the smell and don't even notice it. And people always ask "what smells like smoke?" it's embarrassing and makes you hate your parents for smoking.

Our apartment does not allow smoking.
They have to go out to the 'barn' out back.
It's sweet.

My mom's a smoker but she only smokes outside.

Also, today, my favourite board on GameFAQs was fused with a much larger board full of idiots and trolls. I'll never be in contact with my friends there ever again. :(

Anyway, I literally did nothing at all today compared to my hectic weekend.
The only worthwhile thing I did was buy a large bag of Mint Crisp M&Ms out of fear that they'd be out of production soon due to Indiana Jones already being out and the fact that they were made to promote it.

I went swimming at a local park with my girlfriend and had burgers on a hibachi there.
The top 4-5 feet of the water was nice, after that it was FRIGID.

Basically, I missed an awards night for Track, which I had been awarded 4 awards, for dedication and consistency.
Nobody told me.
I kind of feel like shooting myself, mainly because I was a track captain, and one of the only 3 on the team to miss it.
But it was #####ing news to me when people started IMing me after it wondering where the ##### I'd been.
So, I let myself and the team down as my last act as a captain.
Not a good #####ing way to end a day.

You and they will get over it. It's not a big deal and it's clearly not you're fault. If they decided to give the awards to you in the first place it means they respect and appreciate you and this minor discretion isn't going to ruin that since they know you weren't just blowing it off.

You/They/Whoever made it could've done a better jorb matching the face colours. Look at Ivysaur! That's the clue that they're off, and then it's easier to see the rest are off after looking at that one.

Yeah, JC, it's nothing to get all worked up about. At least you didn't let them down when it really mattered: during the season.
On top of that, it isn't like you deliberately skipped the event. You honestly weren't aware of it. You can't be faulted for that.

Went home.

Walked in the rain to get groceries.

Came home.

Went to get soda and jerky.

Came home. Discovered that Bear likes jerky.

Walked to Rite Aide. Got caught in downpour on the way, got back home just as the lightning and thunder hit. Bear ignored the jerky.



I'm full-time now, looking at a second job prospect (on top of this one).
