I played Phantasy Star Online on Gamecube for two hours (Beat Caves on Hard...)

Played Brawl for too long.

Played Pokemon Pearl a bit.

Haven't played Zack and Wiki at all which saddens me. -.-

And that was the result of a rainy day for me.
Going to play Dragon Quest VII now.

Storms a brewin' up here in Canadia.. Mmm-hmm.. Theres been about 2 in the past month and they've all been extreme storms. Killing the power half the time, but they are pretty awesome, I got stuck in one and loved it until the rain came pouring down. The air was really humid and thunder and lighting every 10 seconds. There may also come a tornado.. which I love, lots of out of control wind bein' all whooshy and #####..

Oh, looks like the rain has started! COOL  8)

Yeah, it's pouring rain here, too.

I've got a massive grad party today. That rich friend I'm always talking about. He rented out a building in Detroit.

Happy, Mike? I'm actually going to Detroit today, so save up some jokes for me.

Posted on: 23 June 2008, 20:45:18

Partied for 6 hours straight last night. My friend rented out the roof of a Mariott Hotel in Detroit, and we got to watch the fireworks from the best view imaginable.
Pretty much everyone worth talking to in our school was there, and it was literally just awesome.

I'm just happy you didn't die in Detroit. I've seen Four Brothers!

It's bright and sunny in Ottawa. But we had storms a while back, on father's day the power cut out for like 40 seconds, but that's it. I actually wish it was storming though. I like it much better.

I've noticed that people who don't live in Ottawa seem to think we have rolling blackouts or something though. Just a side note.

While the fireworks were going off, we were talking about how many people probably died during, because gunshots sound exactly like the fireworks and it would be easier to get away with some murders right then.

We were also speculating on how Godzilla or the Cloverfield monster would pop up BEHIND us as the fireworks distracted.

Gunshots don't sound exactly like fireworks or car backfires. It's a common misconception. Fireworks are a lot closer though, obviously.

And clearly Mothra would be the one to show up, having been attracted by all the pretty lights first, and then by the young human flesh second. I don't even know if Mothra eats people, probably not, but it/she would make an exception.

I had a #####ed up night.

I got pissed at my mom and essentially ripped up all my graduation checks (about $400 worth) and then stormed out of the house at around 11PM, wearing nothing but jeans and a t-shirt.
I just started walking and kept going.
I walked about 2 hours across town, stopping at tons of places just to admire what it's like at night. Life is so different at night.
I found one beautiful spot where there were literally hundreds of fireflies and you could just sit on the hill and stare at them and the open star-filled sky.

Around 5AM, I got back to my neighborhood. I ran my normal jogging path but then I took a turn into my friend's neighborhood and threw pebbles at her windows trying to get her to give me a blanket, but she obviously didn't hear me. It was so #####ing cold out, but it was exhilarating.

Eventually I laid down in an open field and stared at the stars until I fell asleep, and it wasn't too buggy. It was cold, though. I woke up around 9 and walked home shortly after. My mom was pissed.

I slept for less than an hour in my own bed, which was like, almost heaven due to how comfortable it was, but less exciting than the rest of the adventure.

So now I'm about $400 shorter and 100% more worldly. Definitely worth it. Everyone needs some alone time like that.

Black and Red getup, nice touch V.

And I just busted another DS, it was the same one I got back when my other one busted. I foolishly used the same Flashcart on it and it eventually killed it. I'm sending it back, new warranty and all.

Looks like I really am DS-Death.

It's like the kid who reaps pets. I still don't totally understand how that worked.

Wind is part of a very special and different branch of reapers that reap VG hardware.

Yeah, that kid was really cool. I liked how they covered that even kids could become reapers, and that there were such diverse reaping divisions as animal deaths. But then I was thinking... what happens when he fills his quota? How does he get a replacement? Do we start getting dog reapers?

Exactly what I've been trying to figure out. And who reaps him? I think he said he was in a car crash or something? So that would be the accident division under Rube, so how does that work? Did the kid even tick on on the reaper's quota?

I was thinking maybe it has to do with transfers. Also, I before he came along, I thought Post-Its were just Rube's style, his own way of doing things. I didn't think every reaper worked via Post-Its.

I think it's possible that he worked under Rube too, though. If the did die in an accident he fall under Rube's division. Rube is rarely seen reaping anyone in the present, but he often seems busy like he has other appointments or something. Even though he shows up all over the place. It could have panned out that way if the series had gone further.

One of my problems with the movie is that there won't be any resolution to Rube's developments nearing the end of the second season, which lead to conflict with George that wasn't really talked about by the end.

Rube was just too complex to throw away. I know they had that whole season-wide storyline with him but there's obviously so much more, including who he gets orders from and his overall relationship with the characters.

Also, unrelated, but what happened to Betty and all that. And expand more on how George... did that to Ray, or whatever. That whole thing.

I guess one thing I liked about the show is that you felt comfortable not knowing all those answers. You just felt like they weren't important enough that you NEEDED to know them, but it was still fun to speculate since they're open-ended. As opposed to something like Lost, where every little detail leaves you wanting more.

Just very different story-telling, and I liked it. Very laid-back.

Yeah I love that.

Also, no only did she do what she did with the Ray ling, but she can also look directly at gravelings and they recognize her for something seemingly bigger (flashback to the pool and such). I think if the original creator had stayed on and if they had the opportunity, that whole toad and frog story would have had more significance too.

But I could go on for ages about this show.

Dead Like Me is a good show, sorry, we got sidetracked.

Yeah, you're probably right, Mike. Also, is it just me, or did they call George's toad a "frog" for the entire series, even though in the pilot they made it clear that it was a toad?

Even so, she does have a frog to take care of, and it is the gravelings.

My Vacation was pretty good. Got to Rangley late on monday, and went swimming in the lake. Hiked a mountain the second day, then went to go swimming at a small gorge which due to all the rain would have been suicide, we didn't.
Next day we kind of lazed around because my dad sprained his elbow AND the previous night got two massive spider bites on his hand, which made it swell up a disgusting amount. Went for a short hike at a place we heard was nice. Again, because of all the rain, another trip was ruined. we 'hiked' through a swamp.
Thursday was the best day though, I'd become decent friends with the folks at the camp across the road (2 12 year old boys, an 18 year old dude and his 17 year old girlfriend). We all went to a place called 'Smalls Falls' together, which is a bunch of pools, followed by decent sized waterfalls and such, all naturally carved out of rock. Some places acted as water slides and stuff, but there was this one ledge over a huge 30 foot deep circular pool. The ledge was roughly 50 feet up. It was SICK.
Yeah, those are the highlights.

Went to see a friend and had a good time there.

Had some nice bacon rolls.

Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God.

Today I was on my way to work and got off the bus a bit early to go into the Rideau Centre to get a Booster Juice and wheatgrass shot. So that enough made a good morning. But then I got back on the bus and made my way to Bank, walked down and got to work and after they unlock the door (weren't open yet) and let me in my boss Kin goes;

"Mike. This is for you."

And on the counter he has this board laminated version of the store's poster for this year (we do a poster every anniversary that's drawn by a comic book professional artist, last year was Adam Hughes and this year's was Steve McNiven).

In my head I'm like "Okay..." and then I look closer and;

:-O

On one part it's signed "For Mike, best of wishes. -Steve McNiven"

In my head I went putty, like "WHAT THES FASnqrogegerqgwergwfqwerfgsdf ewfWE" but outside I was just more like O_O because when I'm ecstatic it shows less than when I'm just happy since I don't know how to express myself.

I'm so jazzed about this, though. I didn't drive today so I'm gonna drive by tomorrow and pick it up, I'll take a photo to show it off because I want to brag about how stellar this is to me.

Elaborate on what Steve McNiven is famous for drawing and such. 'Cuz I don't know.

That's pretty awesome, though. I love autographed works. Especially personal ones.

Anyway, today my family drove up to our new condo up in Northern Michigan. We sold our old one and bought a new place in a nicer area, with a perfect view on Lake Michigan. This is my first time up here, and it's amazing.

I'm having a bunch of friends up for a weekend near the end of July, and it's going to be #####ing killer.

Comics. He drew Civil War, if you want to get reference. Among others he also did the first issues of New Avengers and is currently working on Wolverine.

He's one of my favourites of the current comic artists.

Yes, but the specific twelve that die this way are all me.

First, I go to Somalia and take out 4 people of Indian heritage. Then I hit up Kenya and knock off 4 others with African African African heritage. And last I take out four Brit-white people in South Africa.

BALANCE.

Oh, but sometimes I get hammered on the flight and remove Egypt of it's first born sons.

(P.S. Side note, I was actually thinking this earlier while watching some of the 46664 Nelson Mandela concert, but... I like how we--North Americans that is--throw the word AIDS around as a big joke all the time when it's a BIG #####ing problem in a BIG #####ing part of the world. And I mean "I like how" as in "I DON'T like how". North Americans suck. We suck.)

I'm with you Mike on the whole AIDS thing.  Even though I myself (having never witnessed first hand the effects of AIDS) am not so offended by it as some are, I do find it very much lacking in humor. That is, I just don't think it's funny. It's dumb.

That being said I menstruated in the Nile and turned their water into locusts.
