Negatory, good sir. Having used both (the iPod was a nano from two generations ago, don't know if anything has changed much since then), I can give a quick rundown of the obvious pros and cons:
+Clean, crisp display +#####ing invincible most of the time - my incident was an aberration (you can't say that about any Apple product) +Format-agnostic (will play basically any type of audio you throw at it, compressed or uncompressed, except for protected AAC and I think FLAC, and supports a wide range of video codecs) +Playlist creation and editing on-the-fly. +No synchronization. This is my biggest gripe with iPods other than fragility and anal-retention concerning audio/video codecs. Synchronization is unbe#####inglievably stupid. +SD card slot for expanded capacity.
-Navigation is somewhat clunky and unintuitive, unlike iPod which has pretty good menu organization -Much shorter battery life (like, maybe 3/4 as much) -Unreliable battery indicator -Can't run programs from it (shows up as a media player, not a removable hard drive) -#####ing anal video resolution/filesize requirements. If it's not 320x240 and between like 600-1000Kbps the ZEN won't play it. This is strange considering how open it is with video codecs.
I've had a year of cumulative use with each brand, and hands-down I'd give the ZEN the edge, unless Apple has found a way to turn ##### into wine in the last year.
EDIT: So, turns out there's no choice in the matter, the ZEN is totally broken now. Yay for totally reconfiguring a year-old second-hand iPod... can't wait until I've gotten past the frantically-saving-up-for-second-semester phase, because I've lost about $250 in broken and almost-broken audio equipment over the last two or three weeks. Even my #####ing portable-speaker-sized headphones need replacing.

Today was good and kinda bad at the same time. I woke up at 5:30am (like usual) and went to school. And I went through my day...and then we had a pep rally, and it was dumb. Every time I go to a pep rally they seem more and more pointless. Anyway, after I got out of daycare--I mean school...I had a taco thanks to Chaos. Then we went to Wendys and got stuff. And now it's night time and I'm doing a dumb report for history class about the fall of the Roman Empire (who cares) and then tomorrow I have to make a folktale story for english class. Blehhh. Anyway so yeah that's pretty much it.
Oh, and did you know smoking one cigarette takes 5 and a half minutes off your life? I learned that today in Health. See? I pay attention. XP

The only person I could talk to about it is the person I can't talk to (A) anytime I want, (B) about it. I've just really got nothing left right now. But I really don't want to bother anyone here with it.
WE'RE ALL EARS. Not literally, that'd be freaky. And now it's night time and I'm doing a dumb report for history class about the fall of the Roman Empire (who cares) WINDUH CARES, I'm going to be getting into the Roman Empire soon in history, right now we're learning about Alexander the great, I love history. Oh, and did you know smoking one cigarette takes 5 and a half minutes off your life? I learned that today in Health. See? I pay attention. XP
Did you know smoking 2 packs of cigarette's takes one whole day? Well, it does to my father. Choo Choo! Here comes the cancer train! So, I'm using Safari right now, since Firefox doesn't want to work.

I wish I learned about the fall of the roman empire... That sounds interesting....
Part of my magazine project I'm currently working on about it, its set in roman times to the roman people: ROMAN EMPIRE FALLS Have you been wondering why our great Empire has fallen? There are many factors that led to the fall of the Roman Empire. Hostile tribes cut off Rome’s trade routes, causing a lack of silver and gold. Money has been recently minted with less gold and silver to preserve our remaining precious metals, but this lack of wealth has caused an inflation. In addition to our suffering economy, Rome’s soldiers have lost their sense of patriotism and loyalty. Our fighters have become indifferent to the fate of the Empire. Rome’s Western Empire fell apart first, by a variety of factors. The Western Empire was separated from the Eastern Empire, which was wealthier. In addition, the West had to fight outside invasions. Germany invaded the West, and those barbarians went through Gaul, Spain, North Africa, and plundered Rome itself for three days straight! As all this was happening, the Huns were attacking the East Empire, and plundered its cities. However, when the chief died, the Hun attacks stopped. Everyone is asking this question: “Could the fall of the Roman Empire been prevented?” Perhaps with better planning by our rulers, Rome could still stand strong today. Now you know!

Today me and Aaron went on a quest today, an adventure of some sort you might even say! The object of our desire? Why, Mega Man merchandise of course, we traveled far and wide, and found some very interesting things! They are as followed..
Mega Man 1 NES - 20$ Mega Man 2 NES - 20$ Mega Man 3 NES - 15$
Good stuff, but we don't need Mega Man 2 right now, Mega Man 3 and 1 we are very interested in, and they should be ours in due time.. We also found something else, we went to a donation store called Value Village, which to our luck, always had some Mega Man stuff somehow, like a Wind Man exe toy and EVEN A MEGA MAN X BOBBLE HEAD!(we planned on getting that, but we didn't have any cash, and someone snagged it the next day..) But today, we found something abnormal, 2 Mega Man legs. Yes, two, from the Jazwares toy line. Two Mega Man toy legs. We couldn't find the rest, so we ditched it.
Then we went somewhere else! And we were successful in our search! I was able to snag a large advertisement box from Mega Man Zero 2! May not be much to most of you here, but it is to me, being one of my favorite games, and a unique and valued part of my collection! (too bad the color faded a bit on the front..)
After that we grabbed some Taco Bell and headed home..

Marching band officially ended today, though there's a chance for post-season if our football team makes it into a bowl game.
So, to celebrate, our drum instructor hosted a party at his apartment. "Optional rehearsal," he called it. "I'll have 24-packs... of drumsticks."
Anyway, just got back a bit early because my friends and I are genuinely tired as #####. It's been a really long day.
Oh, and a weird happenstance. For today's halftime show, a bunch of military schools came in for a little Veteran's Day bit during the middle. So during practice in the morning, I was standing there waiting for the next run-through, when I start watching the military school kids march past.
I randomly make eye contact with one of them.
And lo and behold, it's somebody I know. He looked right at me and smiled, this stupid "haha yep" grin he has, so it was unmistakably him. I don't really care for the kid much, but I've dealt with him on way too many occasions. Not the best seed, definitely a sketchy character. But still, somebody I know and was totally not expecting to see.
Weirder still because out of this entire enormous group of kids in camo, I randomly lock eyes with him.
I was going to call him later and confirm, but I realized that if he's at military school, he won't have a cell phone or anything. I know that much from experience. They're strict on that.
So I made some calls and it was indeed confirmed that he got into trouble and his parents shipped him off to military school for his senior year of high school. Apparently nobody's heard from him in a long time. So it's kind of funny that I saw him. A really odd coincidence.
