So, today I spent the first time I've spent with my girlfriend in forever.
We watched Bolt, ate Applebees, then went to Best Buy.
Who thing took 6 hours.

The problem is that it's evident that our feelings for each other have weakened (seeing each other maybe once a month since I went to college).
I don't know what I should do.
Christmas in right around the corner and I don't have a gift for her yet.
Her birthday is January 5th.
There is some chick at college who is in to me.

I never thought I'd be in any situation like this.

I've always stood by the opinion that long-distance relationships, or relationships where you're apart most of the time, are just a last grasp at what once was. I'm not saying I wouldn't continue a relationship if it meant we'd be apart for long periods of time, it's just that deep down in my heart I would hate it and would rather just end it.

It's just that, being WITH somebody... kind of means that, literally.

But don't take my advice.

Ever.

God, I love that. "Don't take my advice." I love it so much.

Well, I understand your logic perfectly, and I feel that way.

I just don't think I'm capable of doing any type of break up. At all. I guess it's sappy but even if we ended it we'd still be friends, and I hate the thought of making a girl cry.

Not to mention her parents are really protective, and would be pissed at me beyond belief.

*sigh*

And the timing is horrible.
I'm not gonna be the guy breaks up with her right before her birthday.

Then do it after.

Or the day of!

Just kiddin', man. You'll work it out.

Posted on: 21 December 2008, 04:53:26

First day of Channukah. Whoo.

I leave for Aruba on Wednesday. I'll be gone for a couple weeks, and I'm not sure if I have internet. Whatever.

Like I already mentioned, I've been writing my own little internet sitcom sort of thing. Called Roomhates.

I downloaded some professional scriptwriting software and, after some minor scriptwriting studying, just shot off and went crazy.

I've got two episodes done.

Well, today, I got The Office Season 4 for the first night of Channukah. As I opened it, I realized it comes packaged with a 38 page copy of the script for one of the episodes. I scanned through it excitedly since I'm getting into this sort of thing now, and I was stunned to see how accurate I was with writing my scripts.

I'm doing virtually everything right. Like, straight down to the correct terminology and everything. I guess I watch so much TV and listen to so many TV commentaries that it all just rubbed off very well.

We'll see for sure when I finish Roomhates. I've got everyone cast, and two of the five episodes completely written, though constantly being edited.
I've also recently invested in a much better digital camera that is much more capable of video recording. I might return it, though, and get a real digital camcorder. I don't want to spend too much, and even though it doesn't have to be top quality, the digital camera I had before this one just simply won't cut it.

This new one seems to work really well as a low-end camcorder, complete with the ability to zoom in and out while recording, something I rarely see. Still, I'm going to check out my options.

Off to watch The Office. I stopped watching before Season 4, so from here on out, it's all brand new to me.

Damn busy weekend. Insane party on Friday. Went to Montreal for family Christmas on Saturday and then came back for a friend's birthday party around midnight. Big Christmas party with friends on Sunday that was also insane.

Today is a recovery day before the next string of craziness.

So, upon realizing that my parents were willing to shell out a little bit more cash than I had originally assumed, I swapped out the now-dubbed-cruddy camera I just bought out... for a VERY nice digital camcorder.

Perfect.

I'm so hyped to film my little mini-sitcom thing. What should I call it? Internet shorts? Nah. Miniseries? Hardly. Meh.

EDIT: I'M GONNA' #####ING KILL SOME #####. I haven't had a program crash on me in years. BUT NO, TODAY IT HAS TO HAPPEN AGAIN. Just lost the entire third episode I was writing. I had 8 pages done. Entire thing just crashed, and it would have been fine if the program had just closed and not saved, since I save quite frequently. BUT NO. It just deleted the entire #####ing file. My god. I'm going to explode. I have to start the whole episode over again. Ugh. UGH.

Someone's having a fit!

I finally found Dexter season 1 after sneaking out of the hotel and walking in the freezing winds for a half an hour to get to a Rodgers. Last one they had.
Happy, though my parents were wondering why I was away for so long. Anyway, at home and wrapped all of my presents and I'm set.

Y'know, as much as I love getting presents and as much as I try to get the best presents for everyone, I don't enjoy Christmas nearly as much as New Years. Dunno why though.

Went to the Pistons game tonight. Pistons won, ##### yeah (they were ahead of the Bulls for the entire game, but the Bulls were always just behind so it wasn't boring at all.)

It was great. We rode a limo there and back because we have a rich friend that we abuse. I tried really hard to find a green shirt, but they seriously only sold Red, White, and Blue shirts, ala the Pistons colors. What a shame. I had some money to blow.

I saw a friend from college there, and she was just with her family and was pretty bored, and was very relieved to see me (we knew we were both going to be there because of Facebook, but hadn't particularly planned on meeting up.) She hung out with us the whole night because there was an open seat in the row behind us, and she sat there and we talked. Well, she really hung out with just me since she didn't really talk much with my friends. She's not really shy, just, I dunno'. She's cute and someone I can actually hold a solid conversation with so it didn't bother me.

It was sort of weird having my "college world" and "home world" kind of collide. Though they really didn't, in this case.

It's sort of like my hometown friends and my college friends are two completely different sets of people that probably wouldn't really get along with each other if I stuffed them all together.

After the game, we chilled at my friend's house for a long time, and I finally had to go home because I have to get up early tomorrow for Aruba.

So, yeah.

Had a lot of fun hanging out with my home-friends for the last night I'll be able to for quite a while. Early tomorrow I'm heading off to Aruba for 10 days, and then as soon as I get back I'm heading off back for college.

So, yeah, this also means I'll be gone for 10 days. I mean, maybe I'll have internet there, but I'm not counting on it. Plus, you can expect me to be bathing in the sun, fading out of conciousness and letting all my worries slip away for most of those 10 days.

And I personally think I look pretty good with a tan, heh.

Well, I saw my mother's side of the family for celebration and stuff.
I got a GameStop gift card and one of those credit card/gift card things.
Then a really fat cat scratched me, and all the cat's around really agitated my allergies.
Yeah, it was fun, we played some Trivial Pursuit and some Scategories.
Just a grand ol' time.

Afterwards I went to a bunch of crowded GameStops to see if any of them had The Orange Box.
Nothin'.
Then I called to see if one had any, and the dude called me ma'am.
When he told me they didn't have any I told him he could eat my delicious cock.
Yeah, I kind of forgot it's been out for over a year.

I discovered some interesting things about myself today.

Such as I am completely capable of falling asleep and dreaming, whilst standing up and in full conversation, in less than a few seconds.

And that I can sleeptalk my way through these conversations accurately, record them in the register, and then only become confused when I wake up converting currency.

This means that...

I can literally do my job in my sleep.

I don't entirely know how this happened, but it happened several times today.

Odd you mention that cause I fell asleep for like two seconds today too. I tossed and turned all night, accumulating a total of zero hours of sleep last night, so I've been having little microsleeps here and there.

I'm glad I'm not a driver.
