Yeah. OK. The inherent difference here is that I'm not mad at my drawings, I'm just not feeling it. Like, that drive. That thing you tap into. Creation energy?

That sounds very gay. But it's got something to do with passion or similar. I need a paradigm shift.

... Cosmic.

It's a bit more complex than that.

So are "cartoons" (graphic art).

Hah actually, that's why I said "or something".

Mike, I sense bigger and better things in your future.

The second time puts me in a much better mood.
Thanks Alec.

I'm gonna go shoot myself :)

It's times like these where I don't regret adding some of you guys on Facebook.

Though that "Alec, shut up" earlier was unwarranted! As if I were serious! Hmmph!

I'm still kind of depressed over it.

Oh, and Mike, yeah.
I can't tap into that well of creativity for art.  Haven't been able to since summer.

I feel like no matter how much I draw I'm just not going to get any better.

I'll feel better in a few days.

I can see my stuff getting better, there's just not the same umph pow high school passion.

This is isn't really related but the thought just hit me that the art I used to do in high school was very much like teen sex. Loud, fast, bad, and a lot.

Both of you guysssssssssss.

Here, take some of my happy.

When I was younger, everyone thought I was such an amazing artist, like all the parents and teachers were always so impressed.

And it's because I drew a lot as a kid.

But now that's I'm 18 and I don't draw as much or as seriously as I'd like, my drawings are actually very terrible in comparison to everything other artists and cartoonists my age are doing.

Though I know I'm perfectly CAPABLE of bringing myself to their level.

It's just that the only real way to get better at drawing is by drawing a lot, and I know that. It's only since I started drawing less and taking it less seriously when I really needed to start taking it MORE seriously that I fell behind.

Today my dad broke my headset and took my 360 away for absolutely no reason except that he was in pain from all the aesthetic surgery that he wanted. He paid for it with money from my college fund too!

About to watch "Shaun of the Dead," so that's good. (It needs to be my First Movie of the Year.)

Ah, but 2009.

I think this was my first New Years without a countdown. Lame.
Basically, I spent New Years with my family and another family we're on vacation with in the resort lobby with a bunch of other people. It was very boring compared to what I would be doing if I weren't here.

BUT THEN COOL THINGS HAPPENED.

LIKE.

DID YOU KNOW THAT ARUBA HAS FIREWORKS AROUND THE ENTIRE ISLAND?

LIKE.

THE ENTIRE PERIMETER OF THE ISLAND IS JUST NON-STOP FIREWORKS FOR ALMOST AN HOUR.

AND EVERY HALF-MILE, THERE ARE MORE FIREWORKS GOING OFF IN EVERY DIRECTION.

AND IT'S JUST CRAZY.

It's super loud and the entire island is all smokey now.

Not quite like fireworks at the Detroit River on the Fourth of July, but just as impressive.

Happy New Year!
My dad calmed the ##### down.
He gave me my 360 back and gave me the money to buy a new headset.
So it's all good in the hood.
I even hung out with some friends until about ten, but I went home 'cause Mexican food always makes me queasy even if it's delicious.

Drunk.

At Zaphod's tonight we met TV's John Dore! And got a picture with him! He's a comedian and you probably don't know him but he has a show now and season two is coming this month, and I love his show and his act so that was great. Also a big night otherwise, that was good.

Anyway I had a lot and I'll talk about the rest later. Now is resting time. PEACE OUT HAPPY DECIDED ON NEW YEAR!

We let our dog sleep inside today. She gets all Fawrapntiaynaiyn'd up with fireworks. So do all the other pets. On christmas, we saw a stray dog running on the street, barking to the nothingness, crazy.
Fireworks are too loud.
What's worse is that pets sort of know that will happen, my dog has been nervous since the morning, and now she's just scared...Instinct, I guess.
Anyway.
Happy new year.

Ha, there was a stray dog on the street during the fireworks show while we were walking back to our hotel room, and it was freaking out. And these fireworks were REALLY loud, and they were EVERYWHERE, and wouldn't stop for a LONG time.

So this dog was going mad.

My mom was screaming "Don't touch the dog! It's got diseases! Don't touch it!" and then it brushed against her leg and she spasmed and let out a huge yelp.

I was like "HEY MOM DON'T TOUCH THE DOG MOM DON'T TOUCH IT," haha.

Got to work at 5, had to kick it into overdrive the ENTIRE five remaining hours of business, then there were two of us closing from 10:00 to 11:15. Damn.

Watched Seattle's fireworks on TV. This year they actually had their ##### together and it went off without a hitch.

I am more sleep deprived than I've been in forever.
It's not even that bad, time wise, but hell.

I'm hallucinating right now.
Half the stuff I look at is fluid, like my keyboard (it ripples...)

and the screen, every time I look the the screen I see huge dents appear all over it.

I'm not sure how much longer I want to go, because the thing's I'm seeing come and go, but I feel like I'm on a roller coaster just typing on the internet.

So, all the elevators in this Aruba resort have a call button for assistance.

But the instructions written near them are worded very awkwardly.

They say:

FOR HELP
PUSH ONCE

And I'm not dyslexic, but EVERY time I see those words, I instantly read:

PUSH HELP
FOR ONCE

And it happens EVERY time that I look at them, even if I nano-second later I know that's not what it says. The first time, I read it out loud and my brother laughed at me for reading it incorrectly, making it very apparent that I had. I probably would never have noticed if he hadn't pointed it out.

The point is...

...since it keeps happening, I've seemingly tricked myself into thinking it's something significant in my mind. Like, this specific placement of these specific words have something very specific and important to do with the way my mind works.

I know they don't.

Or, rather, I don't seriously think they do.

But this ominous nagging feeling that keeps persisting.

So my girlfriend I technically broke up not half an hour ago over bagel at Panera Bread.
No hard feelings, it just doesn't work out with me at college and never seeing her.
We're friends so it's chill.

On a side note, the bagels were amazing.
