No I have, but I'm half Canadian and half Caribbean so rum and whiskey (and scotch, and rye, and blah blah blah) are at war for supremacy and right now I prefer rum like Caribbeans do.


Yesterday was fun, went to Sonia's and we watched Zack And Miri Make a Porno. But I didn't get any work done so today I have to do a lot.

So I went to talk to the guidance counselor today, regarding my future career, I chose to be a graphic designer but never felt that I liked it all too much. I like drawing comics and that stuff much more, and I'll probably be going to be an animator.

They suggested a college outside of Toronto, which is supposed to be a pretty good school. But I much rather like big cities, and it turns out the other alternative is Algonquin College in Ottawa, this one has some pretty good courses as well as a pre-animation program..

That's illustration. Which is a business I might get into when I'm done with the Animation program (which is a lot harder than the illustration program apparently, so I'm not gonna take extra college).

Good program. A single year GAS program and it's basically entirely portfolio-building to get into the animation program. I took it, it was really worth it.

I'm on the same boat, I only realized it was boring as hell when I took a visual art class on it. We did about 30% actual drawing, and the rest was on the computer.. It's a lot easier, but boring as all hell..

Right now, I'm looking at cost and residence and #####.. I'm going to have to live on campus like Vinch, so I need you to tell me all about that, V.. I skimmed over all of costs of the programs and entry fee etc etc. and I'm afraid that I'd have to pay like 10,000 for one year.. which ain't good, especially if I'm taking multiple years. I'm just so lost..

But whatever, screw the residence, I have a plan.

BUT Algonquin is really expensive. Like, everything is. Residence is something like eight grand, I think. Parking during the bus strike cost me over five hundred bucks. And food, I don't know what the ##### is up with food. We call it AST (Algonquin Sales Tax) because every restaurant on or around campus has jacked up prices. Even the cafs.

Anyway I don't know but it might e cheaper to live in a place with some people in the Minto buildings (which are literally across the street from Residence) instead of Residence. That's where most people go live after a year in res anyway.

Today I learnt that there's a high possibility of getting a DSi on August.
I didn't buy a Lite yet because my mom owes me some money, but on August, DeMat's neighbor goes over to miami, and he's gonna buy us both(With our money....) DSis, which are cheaper over there than what Lites are here. Well, they'll be. Since they are released on april.
 Anyway, I'm really happy.

No it should only be ten grand, if I'm even right about residence which I'm probably not. I never lived there. The pre-an tuition was only like ~1200 bucks when I was in it.

I've checked the site, they say that the fee for average students are 15 grand, the tuition for the program itself is around 3000 with all the mandatory crap. And if the residence fee is around 8000, then I've got myself 11 grand already. It may be more or less I hear, so I'll assume it'll be more. Just to be ready.

My dad isn't too surprised about the cost though. Which is a pretty good sign.

Just got back from my best stand-up show ever. I killed. I mean, I'm still not a good comedian at all, haha, but I did REALLY well. So did a lot of the others. We actually had a college crowd this time since we were performing at a frat. Plus, it was about 50 people so it was my biggest crowd so far.

I'm having way too much fun with this.

I'm SO sick of cafeteria food. It's terrible, and usually my only option. And the worst part is, I'm paying for it.

Like, there's an on-campus Taco Bell and a Subway less than a minute away from the cafeteria I eat at daily. And a ton of restaraunts just off campus. I could be eating out there with that money, getting different and better food every day. But instead, I paid for a meal plan for whatever reason.

Though I do like the social aspect of the cafs. At this point, I know enough people that I've never once eaten alone. There always seems to be somebody in one of the cafs that I know.

Yeah, the counselors told me about that. But do you know how effective they are? Right now it seems like I'll have no problems paying, but I'd still like to see all the options of worse comes to worse.

Also, there's Sheridan for illustration, it's closer, cheaper and apparently MUCH better than Algonquin. Right now I love the idea of going to Algonquin though, it's more emotional than anything, seeing as I wanna get up on outta this place.

But they also made the mistake of adding a soft serve machine, so I abused the hell out of it and put ice cream on freaking everything.
