How do you know what a float is?

I mean, if you say "ice cream float," you've pretty much already described what it is, anyway.

It's not that they haven't heard of a float, but they go bat ##### insane when someone puts ice cream in their pop. Some people back away in disbelief, hahaha..

FLOATS ARE AWESOME.

Also, the stuff is AMAZING for root beer floats.

BUT I just got back from the doctor's.
Woohoo.
Initial blood pressure check?
150/100
Really bad.
THEN, after some interviewing and some checking and good times 20 minutes later they check again.
128/78.
The best it's been in months.
3 minutes later,
145/85.
2 doctors watched the last 2 and were completely sure of it.
SO they hook me up for an EKG. Woot.
They shave off a good lot of my chest hair to get a reading too.
Doctors says it's not bad, but, of course, high.
No lifting or intensive activity for me for a few weeks, and I have to monitor EVERYTHING I eat starting monday, as well as cataloging exercise.

Balls.
I HATE paperwork.

It was either have them shave a few small patches or accidentally RIP it out with the EKG pads.

I'm so unhealthy. Mainly diet related.

But I'm skinny and somewhat in shape so nobody would ever think so.

People forget that skinny is just as bad as fat.

Though I did eat nothing but junk today, and now I feel sick..

Had to empty cloths and stuff out of everything to move them.
It sucked.
I'd have rather just manned up and moved them, but noooooooo, I could pass out.

I noticed that a long time ago when you posted pictures of your room and stuff..

There's like, a row of boxes on your window sill or something.. what's with that?

Actually, there's a reason for that:

During the filming of Roomhates, we wanted to keep the "set" consistent. I had just gone shopping before we started, so I had three full boxes of Goldfish. So, when I finished a box, I just didn't throw it out. You couldn't tell if they were full or not, so it stayed consistent.

Then we ended up using them in an improv visual gag during the fifth episode where EVERYONE'S eating out of a box.

And now, it's become a "thing" to always have three boxes out. There are actually three completely new boxes sitting there right now. One empty, one half-eaten, and one full.

I just made another dock icon set for Adium. This time it's 8bit Proto Man, and he's always animated in this one (his scarf flows!)

It has yet to be tested, but so far it looks so rad.

Edit: Tested. Doesn't work, can't be always animated. Oh well, just as awesome as the Mega Man one I made though.

Also, there's Sheridan for illustration, it's closer, cheaper and apparently MUCH better than Algonquin.

Bull#####. Well, I don't know about the illustration program at the Gonq, but our Animation program is actually far better. Sheridan just has a standing rep, but I know our program is actually better. Most of our profs went there anyway when Algonquin didn't exist and then created the program here, so if they say ours is better you can believe that (if you don't want to believe me although I am so right).

Catch is that in the Sheridan program you get a B of A, which makes it easier to get a working Visa or green card if you want to work in the US. But that's kind of moot point for you right now, since most of the TV work (in North America at LEAST) is in Ottawa anyway.

Plus, we get a week off in September every year to go to the Ottawa International Animation Festival, which is the biggest animation festival in the world and is kind of a big #####ing deal. It's pretty cool and I like it. It's probably best when you aren't a student and have the time to go to everything though, because at this time in your life and in this program you can't really go every day or to everything.

I've been starting to go jogging recently.

But I still work at Wendy's.

I've been working there for almost three years. When you hit the 3-year mark, you get free food as long as the consumption is under $6.

I'm a guy that's in need of cash.

Yeah.

I'm gonna be jogging a lot.

Oh man. YOU'RE CRAZY.

I guess they assume that after 3 years, you'll think the place is disgusting and won't want to be anywhere near that food.

And I usually eat something small from the concession stand at work. I have plenty of small meals in the day, because my family rarely congregates for regular meals.

Wendy's is definitely my favourite burger place, though.

And I'm still skinny as #####. Or a skinny-ass #####, if you prefer. But let's not use skinny ass-#####. I don't like that one.

Yeah. I am crazy. I know that all too well.

I still like Wendy's, and the place where I work is laid back a bit, so I'm thankful to have that job.

I forgot to mention, I hit the 3-year mark on the 27th of this month.

You're better off eating small meals a lot throughout the day than eating three big meals only. That way your metabolism "stays warm", to put it in car terms, instead of you having to "turn it over" three times a day. So then; BAM! Skinny.

But it doesn't work for everyone (nothing about weight loss works for everyone (except eating disorders, but that's obvious and now I'm just using parenthesis IN parenthesis (parenthesisis?) and no one likes that (it's so messy looking (and confusing)))).

Well it's just what I've heard. I don't have much respect for the Sheridan program after what I've heard, however. Really you should do what you WANT more than anything.

There's something really classy about complete series box sets on DVD that I just love.

But I'm missing Disc 6 and 7.

But yeah, unlike Seinfeld, I actually haven't seen most of Friends. I only watched the last season when it aired. And tons of reruns, sure, and those are unavoidable.

The term sitcom is really broad these days. Hell, I've heard people call Flight of the Conchords a sitcom.

Technically it works, since, you know... situation comedy. But I like to just use the word "comedy" to describe everything that doesn't have a laugh track.

Anyway, I contacted the seller and they're sending me Disc 6 and 7. So I'm good.

Their e-mail response made me laugh, though:

: Seller Response
we are soo sorry about this. we are sending you disc 6 & 7.

Verbatim. With the "soo."

This week has been...

Hectic.

In short:

· I finally got word on being fired versus suspended, and I'm looking for new work.

· We had repair work done, and our apartment was found to have poor living conditions, to the point of lease violations.

In a few days, we went from roughly this condition though not as bad, to roughly this condition, only we've got a cat so it's not that clean. Also, all the strange smells are gone.

Hopefully, this means we get to not be kicked out.

Inspection is today, and it's not nine AM yet here, so I don't know when they're coming over, but I seriously hope it's sooner than later for the sake of my nerves.

Woke up early today, for once.

Made omelets for the first time. Tasted delicious for something I didn't read instructions for. Then I did look at some online instructions and it says to beat the egg. But I didn't beat the egg so it wasn't really an omelet. WTF is this concept of "beating eggs"? I don't want to torture them before eating them. Still tasted good though.

I have class at Three today. Networking. It's a three hour class as usual but then I have ANOTHER Three hour class (Digital Imaging) right after that in the same room. But it's OK because both classes don't usually last three hours, and time flies pretty fast on computers anyway.

Still happy that I woke up early for once.

Yes. I never heard the term before. But I don't cook often so I don't know a lot of the terms used in everyday cooking.

Though I am trying to cook more. Gotta keep my Italian image, yo.
