wat

UHM, so like, I spent the week over at my grandparents place, since it's in downtown Toronto, I got to spend a while in the city, which I prefer over the dinky "city" of Brampton. I watched the Watchmen on Sunday and just spent the rest of the week traveling all over the city with friends. Found a great store downtown where they sell rock merch, got myself a Misfits wristband and some buttons and patches for a Halloween costume I've been working on.

Today however, the last day of my week there was terrible, I was up all night because of a random allergy attack.. drove me insane, and I still have some of it now.. BEIN' SICK SUCKS  :'(

It's even worse on the last day of a vacation or whatever it is.

Yeah, saw that this morning in the paper.
I actually think it would be a good idea with a few minor alterations:

That's "The Beets", but yes I was thinking that too.

4th Edition.

They won't. 4th ed apparently really really sucks. I haven't played it or anything, I just work where I work.

My dumbass frienemy tried to use a Magic Bullet to mix a rye and coke on New Year's Eve.

Didn't 3.5 suck at one point, though? And at any rate, they figured out how to create new characters and are currently waiting for me to learn how to create them dungeons.

3.5 > 3.0 > ass > 4.0

You poor sucker.

4.5 might have some redeemable qualities, but 4.0 is definitely too fully based for MMORPG play than actual awesome play.

I finally finished the third of the three promo videos for the comedy competition. Just in time, since the event is Wednesday.

This one is a rap music video. Which was way too complicated for these <2 minute shorts, but whatever. This is the finalist I'm actually friends with so I was cool with his being more complicated. It's also a lot funnier and miles better than the other two, which is good because I want him to win. It's just a lot of extra work for me that I didn't need right now, but now that it's done I can't complain.

Plus it turned out great. It's uploading to Youtube right now.

So, even though I didn't make it past the first round, it's cool that I'm still contributing. All of these videos will get played on the big screen before each finalist goes on stage.

WoW is nowhere near as geeky as DnD, thank you very much.

4.0 is giving those of us who've been playing for a while both good and bad things.

Pros:
Action Points
You don't have to memorize spell lists

Cons:
No Druid class
New character sheets to get used to

I'd give a more in-depth list, but I haven't played 4.0 in over two months, and don't remember much else.

I just remember that I didn't like how it flowed in gameplay, nor did I enjoy the campaign setting. It's too simplified with less customization, really it is.

We won't play the RPGA (Wizards sanctioned DMs and games) anymore because they're ONLY playing 4.0, and because you can't play anything more evil than N.

Then again, the RPGA is generally annoying. >_>;

Well, my friends are definitely switching to it now. One of the DMs in the group saw that you can become a real humanoid dragon and wants to play as one, regardless of any cons.

I'm too lazy to repost this, so just read through an AIM convo on this one.

I went to work today and there was a new guy. If you know what happened, explain it to me.
ChaosvortexDS (11:27:44 PM): New guy at work, forgot to mention this.
ChaosvortexDS (11:27:48 PM): Named Chris
ChaosvortexDS (11:27:58 PM): And he goes to Daytona State too, but I didnt recognize him.
ChaosvortexDS (11:28:12 PM): Anyway, I'm talkin to Joe, manager, and Im positioned on back sandwiches.
ChaosvortexDS (11:28:24 PM): Chris is on Fries and is being taught, lectured, trained, etc.
ChaosvortexDS (11:28:47 PM): Anyway, I'm distracted while talking to Joe, and I decide to check on my position.
ChaosvortexDS (11:29:08 PM): As I'm heading back to the sandiwich station, I'm aware that someone is laying on the floor near the fryers.
ChaosvortexDS (11:29:16 PM): Nick bends down, and it's Chris on the floor.
azarathteen (11:29:22 PM): ????
ChaosvortexDS (11:29:26 PM): He looks up and says "You okay? You hurt your head?"
ChaosvortexDS (11:29:33 PM): I said "What happened? He slipped and fell?"
ChaosvortexDS (11:29:40 PM): "No, he just randomly collapsed..."
ChaosvortexDS (11:29:50 PM): And he reached out his hand, I grabbed it, and helped him up.
ChaosvortexDS (11:29:58 PM): And we asked him what happened...
ChaosvortexDS (11:30:01 PM): no response...
ChaosvortexDS (11:30:05 PM): His head was swaying.
ChaosvortexDS (11:30:12 PM): Instantly, we're like "This cant be good..."
azarathteen (11:30:13 PM): seizureeee
ChaosvortexDS (11:30:32 PM): And we're trying to hold him together, getting low to his legs, supporting him..
ChaosvortexDS (11:30:53 PM): He walks over to the back drink station, and sits over it like it's some sort of sink.
ChaosvortexDS (11:31:15 PM): Instinctively, I think he's gonna vomit so I close the ice bin, and I get behind him halfway, and look at his face.
ChaosvortexDS (11:31:23 PM): He sways back and forth and ask if he's alright.
ChaosvortexDS (11:31:41 PM): All of a sudden, he just falls down, and I catch part of him, and Joe catches his other half, and we bring him down to the ground.
ChaosvortexDS (11:31:59 PM): We're just almost panicking, and Keith is wondering what's happening.
azarathteen (11:32:06 PM): seizureeee
ChaosvortexDS (11:32:10 PM): I lean over to his face, and stare right at this kid, and his eyes are not moving.
ChaosvortexDS (11:32:13 PM): It's like he just died.
ChaosvortexDS (11:32:30 PM): Finally, he regains conciousness, and stands up.
ChaosvortexDS (11:32:42 PM): We escort him to the dining room and we ask him a few questions.
ChaosvortexDS (11:32:47 PM): Joe says it was 3 things.
ChaosvortexDS (11:32:54 PM): 1) Either he's dehydrated.
ChaosvortexDS (11:33:00 PM): 2) He's too tired and hungry
ChaosvortexDS (11:33:02 PM): 3) Seizure.
azarathteen (11:33:11 PM): seizureeee
ChaosvortexDS (11:33:16 PM): He had bananas and water before coming to work he says.
ChaosvortexDS (11:33:40 PM): And Nick says it was the smell of the fryer smoke. He's not used to it and it affected him.
ChaosvortexDS (11:33:46 PM): So, we told him to rest for a while.
ChaosvortexDS (11:33:56 PM): And I was really worried about this kid.
ChaosvortexDS (11:34:11 PM): Anyway, we moved him to front sandwiches because the fryer is obviously a problem.
azarathteen (11:34:35 PM): good thing he didn't pass out onto the fryer...
ChaosvortexDS (11:34:41 PM): And he was near the grill, and I talked to him and said "If you're about to pass out again, move away from the grill, as quickly as possible."
ChaosvortexDS (11:34:50 PM): "Last thing we need is your face on a hot grill."
azarathteen (11:34:55 PM): yeah
ChaosvortexDS (11:35:25 PM): He has a better chance of landing on the grill than the fryer.
ChaosvortexDS (11:35:28 PM): Either way it's bad though.
azarathteen (11:35:52 PM): has it happened to him before?
ChaosvortexDS (11:36:01 PM): He said that the 2nd time he collapsed, even though I swear he was unconcious, he said he was concious, could hear everything, but he just blacked out with his eyes.
Yeah, Joe said it was awfully like a seizure, but a few others just said it was the fryer smoke getting to his head.

I'm leaning towards a seizure but I still wonder.

Well, turns out I've got a general sinus  / upper respiratory infection, and not pneumonia.

I should see a "dramatic difference" in five days with the amoxicillin, and I've got an albuterol inhaler so I can actually breathe without gagging and half-drowning.

I'm so happy. It's like being able to come up for air after spending a day half-submerged in a viscous fluid.

Wow, congratulations.

... oh, this reminds me. About three days ago I stumbled into the dining room half asleep.
I didn't do it right.

So my smallest toe on my right foot is, once again, broken (just fractured). This happened about three years ago, but the break then was worse; I had merely fractured it then, but then it snapped when I was putting on pants. I also did not do it right that time.

Anyway, it's just the small toe and it should heal up quickly. Not really much pain, but I'm keeping it bound for a while. Curiously I managed to find the gauze and tape from the last time this happened.

This also made me recall that inside of my computer holding the power button in place is some of the same medical tape. It has been holding for two years. This is stuff that just peels right off of everything, yet it has held the power button on. For two years. In a computer. Curious.

Now, today I had to run (drive and limp) by my old high school and get my transcript so I could figure out what my GPA was, and thus complete part of a job application which, for some reason, required high school GPA. I hazard a guess that it is a generalized form.
The job is as a software developer for a company in Dayton, Ohio. It is a job. In my field.
It is the only thing this year I've managed to get so close to.

... needless to say I don't have my hopes up, but it's a job and I'm going to try my best to get the damn thing. Hopefully I did not royally screw up the aptitude test; I was unable to finish the math word problem section or the alpha sequence section, but at least I nearly finished the latter.
The only problem now is figuring out how I should get to a job interview should I make it to that point.

I always put something to the point of "I don't know" or a blank line in high school GPA.

Then again, I got my GED, so it's rather irrelevant.

Yesterday four friends and I drove in a tiny Toyota Yaris (crammed) to Toronto (~5 hours), stayed in a hostel and saw The Prodigy live at Kool Haus.

It was one of the best things I've ever done and today has also been incroyable.

I'll probably post more of these later, I've found a couple vids people took at the show last night that capture KIND OF and IDEA of what it was like.

This one is pretty close to where I was and this is also basically how I saw things, except that I'm short and most electro fans are tall-ish Eastern European guys so I had to jump higher than them to see stuff, but I did alright. When the camera pans left I'm pretty sure I was in the show somewhere (I'm looking to see if we got in any videos for when we put photos up. When some people went to see Justice a couple years ago they found themselves in a video, which is wicked.) but I can't go frame by frame to find us and youtube doen't scroll video precisely so I only see blurs. I have a bunch of clips left to check out though.

This one is off near the bar, so the outskirts, but has good hype and I just want to show the scope of this joint. The whole mother#####er was a mosh pit. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

The more of you in one place, the easier it will be for me to pick you all off.

Easier for you to TRY.
