I got a turtle today! I found him in the middle of the road today while driving home from school. I pulled over and saved him from being smushed...he's really tiny, about the size of a quarter. He's just a baby. I named him Maxwell.
My mom and I went out and bought a tank and turtle food for him, and we're getting a light tomorrow, and we put rocks in his cage.

It's definitely LARGER than a quarter

How did you see a quarter-sized turtle on the road? That's insane.
Sometimes when I drive I look at the ground in front of me. I do it when I walk so maybe that's why. I just happened to be looking at the ground and was like... omg baby turtle gotta sweeerve

I don't wanna be 90's cool. Cool kids nowadays don't do drugs, hold hand with their girlfriends, and are all around friendly people.

Today Chaos and I released Maxwell into the lake by my house because he is a wild turtle and was not happy in his tank. He needed the outside world, so the lake was best for him. It was slightly emotional, but I know we did the right thing.
I miss him tho : (

How exactly did it die? You could probably salvage a lot of the files.... Posted on: April 04, 2009, 12:45:46 AM

All in all it was a pretty good day.
I got back from a date a bit ago, my first one since I became single again, and it was pretty awesome. The Natural History Museum in Los Angeles does this thing called First Fridays. It took three busses, but I made it down there and met up with her. The first part is a big group discussion about whatever the topic is (Tonight's was Darwin), and I have heard they're pretty fun and interesting. When I say heard, it's because when we got there, the discussion room was already filled to capacity. We ended up chilling in the lounge area, listening to the DJ, and not being able to buy all the alcohol around us.
It was pretty cool, we really hit it off, we like a lot of the same books, and generally had a bunch in common. At around 8, we knew the little concert thing was starting, so we hit the foyer, and stood near the front. The first one up was Time Fite, and he was awesome and hilarious. He and his assistant Leon were great, and the music was jammin'. Leon ended up going up a ladder, with a water bottle, put it between his legs, and sprayed the audience during the "##### on You" song (which actually was a good song) and we got splashed.
We were both pretty tired, but we stuck around for The Bus Driver. He was great too, but I liked Tim Fite better, if only because he was funnier, and had a lot more audience participation. I bought both his CDs after.
We had a lot of fun, and she felt bad about me taking a 2 hour bus ride to get there, so she insisted on giving me a lift to my sister's place, since I was crashing here for the night anyway, if only because it's closer than home. I got a kiss on the cheek, a hug, and a book to read, and an agreement to go on another date. So that rocked.
I hadn't eaten all day, so me and my sister grabbed some Burger King, and we stopped to get gas. Afterwards, her gear shift wasn't working. We, eventually, figured out we could use her key to unlock the gear shift, and start the car in Neutral, but the gearshift needs fixing.
All in all, a good night.

I haven't drank too much myself. It seems like kids these days don't know how to use the word drunk as a past tense of drink. ¬.¬ Anyhow, got to spend the week with a friend's kids. They're 13 and 14. It's sad, because they don't know what awesome is. Oh, yeah, we got Rock Band and GH3. Also, unexpected foodstamp bonus gives us 500 for this month (part of which we've spent already). We shall eat like kings... For a while, anyway.

Last night was my first date (with you know who). BEST DAY EVER. I went all out and put a lot of thought into it to make it special. We went to Fazoli's to eat, Daytona Lagoon for arcades, Go-Karts, Laser tag, and miniature golf. Afterwards, I took her to the beach. Just a few details about it:
There's a lot of work I've done before the date, but at Daytona Lagoon, when going through the arcades, we came across Guitar Hero Arcade (which is practically GH3), and this. I never thought I'd meet the arcade in my life so we HAD to play it. It was so much fun. It doesn't play like any other Mario Kart game (not even Mario Kart Wii) because it's hard to steer, but it was still just awesome. You get 6 "cups" with 4 tracks, 2 of which are the same thing but reversed. The cups are Mario, DK, Wario, Pac-Man, Bowser, and Rainbow. We did one of each except for Wario and Bowser. Characters that I can list playable at the top of my head are Mario, Luigi, Wario, Toad, Yoshi, Peach, DK, Bowser, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and Blinky. There's MUCH more to the game than that Wikipedia article describes. If you ever see this machine, you HAVE to try it. Nearly all the items are brand new (Oil slip, twisters, pellets, seeds), and some familar ones too (Green shell, Banana peel, Thunder cloud). Going to the beach, it was a full moon and the light from the moon reflected on the ocean and just made the night great. So much more I could mention. It was just so great.
Also, Dragonball is out, and that just might be our second date.

Like Chaos said, last night was the best day ever! It was a lot of fun.
Also, yesterday morning I woke up to cops yelling outside my bedroom window. Some guy was running from the cops and he jumped our fence into our backyard and ran through my yard then hopped the fence to the front yard. The police were all "GET DOWN GET DOWN!" and that's when I woke up. They arrested the guy and they found his cell phone in my back yard. They took him away and there were still cops everywhere, and then Jehovas Witnesses came to my door and wanted to give me a track to something at their church place thing. I was like um okay. I still don't know why the cops were after that guy but my neighbor helped arrest him so I'll ask him.
Interesting morning, it was.
