I didn't see this page, but fortunately I didn't look like an idiot when I posted. And yes, I agree with you on that point right there.

ANYWAY

My teacher canceled the pizza party! What bullcrap. I've just got one more final tomorrow, in math. Ugh. I haaaaaate math. But yeah, then I'm done with Freshman year. Then Conchords. Then summer. Whoo-yeah.

No, it's just the current and hopefully last class I'm taking that has anything to do with math.

If you wanna' get technical, it's called Excursions in Mathematics. If you wanna' get even more technical, it's called MATH1140.

The best Canadian shows are finishing up now.

The only shows I really got into were Corner Gas (what horrible timing for me) and Fringe.

On the subject of nudity, I essentially grew up just on the modest side of the nudity track, and lots of my friends did, too. For the most part, nudity has never been an issue to me (other than my own), with a few exceptions.

My policy has always been based around, "If there's no blatant sexual stuff, why bother being offended?"

It's all shapes to me anyway; though some are obviously nicer to see than others, it's life.

Also, is Fringe really a Canadian show?

"Excursions in Mathematics?"

Sounds like a children's show.

Sounds like you do crazy math things, like "Excursions in Science" would make me think you do nutty experiments and such, so this would be weird interesting math things and that's really attractive to me.

It's not at all Canadian, but like a lot of stuff it's gonna be filmed in Vancouver now (was NYC). Since Fringe is the new X-Files, that's not entirely surprising.

Anyway I wasn't talking about anyone getting offended by anything.

The "Excursions" is more like... how math applies to everyday life. Like, stuff about mortgages and buying houses, credit card payments, that stuff. It was very lame.

I mean, how else could you explain why they're both the same kind of really, really bad?

Her songs are years apart from his one song that I've heard, and I mean that literally. I'm not actively thinking of some old song that I never liked or listened to in the previous decade and Miley Cyrus didn't exactly remind me of him.

You only make that kind of connection when you realize they're related... well, at least I don't.

Not trying to make a big deal of this, anyway.

Something about saying someone's body is "OFF THE CHAIN" is awesomely funny to me.

I keep expelling retarded post after retarded post, I know...

Okay, you guys.

Flight of the Conchords was #####ING AWESOME.

They rocked so hard.

I'd get into it with more details... but I'm tired.

So maybe tomorrow. Probably tomorrow.

Just... OH GOD THAT WAS AWESOME.

I didn't get to stay for the meet-and-greet since they had a second show at 11, which wouldn't get done till 1AM. And I just didn't feel like staying that long in the middle of Detroit. So. You know. No autographs... =[

I tried to contact a friend that was going to be at the 11:00 show so I could give her the shirt I bought to get it signed for me, but she only noticed I called after I'd already left, so... blargh.

Also, the shirt I bought was BLUE.

It was BLUE, you guys.

BUT I'M GOING TO WEAR IT ANYWAY

It has yellow on it, too, and blue + yellow = green, so I guess it qualifies.

Also they were giving out sweet posters.

Some pics below:

Funny that I thought I could outrun a thunderstorm heading towards me with winds at 78km/h!

Apparently someone got hit by a branch, so I was lucky. I DID check a few times to make sure nothing was flying at me, but then I got mobbed by tiny things being whipped around.

I was leaning on a 45 degree angle at one point. It was awesome. Everyone in their car was like "ARE YOU #####ING CRAZY" and I'm like "YEAAAAH"

Except they didn't, because they didn't want to roll down their windows. But I know what they were thinking.

Every time I say "roll down your window" I wonder if it's an obsolete phrase and I wonder if people around me will understand me.

I've been EXTREMELY busy this week with homework and real work and my mom's been nagging about my room. I'd figure she'd understand I don't have time to do something like spring cleaning because I REALLY have a lot to do.

So she raids my room while I'm at work and throws random things here in one big trash bag.

I came home and she says the next time I have things on the floor, she'll throw them away.

Yes. This is in fact, my mother. She's THIS nuts. This is my stuff that actually has value, and she treats it like nothing. She called my "homework" goofing off and saying I should've made a deadline. Yeah, she's not my landlord, and she's REALLY treating me like garbage now. I'm basically just surprised and angry, because... here, just look at this list of stuff she's threatening to throw away.
-Ti-89 Titanium Scientific Calculator
-Ti-83 Plus Scientific Calculator
-Game case containing: Mega Man ZX Advent, Mega Man ZX, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Mario Kart DS, and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.
-PS2 Controller
-Nintendo DS + Charger
-Devil May Cry
-Haruhi Playing Cards
-Easter Candy
-N64 games: 007 Goldeneye, Starfox 64, Mortal Kombat 4, WCW Nitro, Extreme-G
-Wii Wheel
-GBA SP with MegaMan Battle Network 6
-PSP with MegaMan Powered Up
-64 MB Flashdrive
-2 Scissors
-2 Gamecube Controllers
-2 Wiimotes
-2 Wii Nunchuks
-4 Wii Jackets
-CDs including the disk to iTunes
-PSP Memory stick
-Classic Controller
-Switchblade
-Game case containing: Super Smash Bros. Melee, MMAC, MMXC, MMX: Command Mission, PaperMario TTYD, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Sonic Gems, Sonic Mega Collection.
-A LOT of important paperwork like receipts, paycheck stubs, school notes, homework
-My five cubee crafts, COMPLETELY RUINED
More details about this, but I don't wanna discuss it. This is just so you all know: My mom is nuts/heartless/whateveryouwanttodefineit.

EDIT: Oh yeah, a lot of those things? They weren't on the floor. Some where just chillin on a shelf. My DS was actually charging on top of my TV, out of sight from everything. My SP was also on a shelf, snug in a case I got from Annie. She calls this clutter. You can't win.

@Majikn: My car's only a couple years old, at most, and it doesn't have power windows. So don't worry.

@Chaos: My mom's threatened to do the same thing, and my godmother kind of did once, but my mom's not that bad. My godmother is, though. This was like a year ago and I'm STILL finding out stuff's been broken/lost.

When I was in middle school, my mom threatened to throw away anything on the floor that wasn't furniture.

Like my stereo.
And my gamecube.

Yeah.

I know how you feel Chaos.
It's unjust, and plain old mean.
My mom was trying to clean my room once, but didn't know school got out early, so I came home to garbage bag full of almost everything in my room that wasn't in a drawer.

I flipped.

I mean jeez, if she's going to punish me, at least make some money and go pawn all of that stuff instead of wasting the money....

I'm thankful my parents are like that, I don't find it "unjust, and plain old mean". I find it completely moronic, if my parents did something like this they'd have to be institutionalized, they spent good money on a lot of ##### in this room, so really, it's them who are wasting the money.

I love the idea Sano had though, it's top notch to go around and throw out their #####. Not to mention fun.

My mom never let my room get bad enough for me to feel the urge to clean.

Once it got past a certain point, she went in herself. She would also offer to help me or ask me to let her do it when I did clean. ("It'll be faster if I do it," "Let me show you how to clean your room better/faster[harder/stronger], "I do/did this for a living. It'll be faster this way," et cetera.)

I often came home to find my room spotless, along with small items (but with personal value) missing or broken.

I also never actually developed cleaning skills because of this process. Also, I never knew where anything was.

She also did this whilst I was in the hospital (to our apartment), though that was appreciated, as it was in terrible condition, and my constitution wasn't the best.

It didn't stay that way, though. I love clutter. I'm a chaotic person, and completely uncluttered environments feel unnatural to me. I also have a hard time not adapting to the state of chaos that comes of a messy house, and I think that part of it is enjoying the freedom (stupid, I know) of not having my mother come in and clean, though, I also get immense satisfaction out of cleaning when I'm properly motivated. Maybe it has to do with some self-detrimental thing from when I was younger, I don't know.

Yeah. Similar but not. It's more about privacy than anything, for me.
----

In other news, I have a tub full of laundry I washed last night, and nowhere to hang it.

I know I'm probably grasping at straws here, but does anyone know a way to efficiently air-dry clothes without a clothesline or the ability to spread them out on the lawn? I would string up a line outside, but in a town where unattended roadside items translates to "free #####," I'd rather not lose what clothing I have.

Consider saving up for a trip to the laundromat. If that's what you're trying to avoid in the first place, what Jon says will work if you just keep doing it in round fashion; it's not a good solution but it may be the only one you have.

Shower isn't a good place to dry clothing unless you have a vent and an open window nearby.
I think they might sell drying racks you can put indoors, but I have no idea. And indeed they make them!

Again, well ventilated area required.

I think that, in the long run, I would like a drying rack. We've got a well-ventilated main room, and a small rack would even work in the kitchen.

I ended up having to bum quarters from my mom to dry the load this time, but the issue was mostly due to the size of the load, as I couldn't separate the items well enough to wring them out properly.

I enjoy hand-washing, and they seem to get cleaner that way. (It's also better for the earth.) If I could save up enough, I'd also get a functional wringer.

I used to have a large yard with a clothesline that worked just fine (as long as laundry day was sunny), and I honestly miss it.

As it is, though, I just need to remember to do small loads, it seems.
