You know what happens when you assume? You make a donkey out of two particular letters. Also: misunderstandings!

so I want a shelf that goes over my desk, a very simple 3 pieces of wood that is nice and sturdy, something to put my TV and speakers on that will clear up desk space for me, and still allow my laptop to fit under it comfortably.

It's impossible to find anything right now in stores, and I don't trust my ability to build something sturdy enough to support my TV.

Harumpf.

I actually have something JUST like that as a seperate piece for one of the two desks in my room. It's too low for my laptop so I don't use it. It's also got raised edges on either side like bookends.

But unless you want to drive up to Michigan I really can't help you.

Plus it's technically my parents' desk anyway, but as soon as I'm done with it would probably just go back into storage.

I got my tablet yesterday. Going to start a project with it today. The learning curve is stupid.

Such labors will not be posted in my dormant art-thread.

Damn, I feel like too depressed.
My 16-year-old cat (over 100 human years, if you count), Thabitha, died today. I can't even dream about how much that cat loved my mother. When she, my mom, died, in June of 2003, Thabitha spent around 2 months weeping in front of her room and looking for her. Watching her walk all around the house and crying was really sad, but then she adapted, though she was much less active than she used to be.
And today, I woke up to the news that she had to be put down. The last 3 or 4 days she had been crying cries of pain, and she barely moved. She was in too much pain, so we rather let her go than have her struggling around the house.
I like to think that now she and my mother meet again.

R.I.P. Thabitha - one heck of a cat, one heck of a partner

Sorry. Just couldn't say that in English.

Man, I feel really sorry. I wish I had been a nicer guy to Tabitha. Still, I loved that cat!

I'm really sorry to hear that man!

I moved back into college today. Things are well.
Made a new friend over facebook over break, whom I've seen everywhere but never picked out of a crowd, and we actually had our first in person conversation tonight. She's a pretty cool person, we talked for the last 2 weeks online. It was neat to actually MEET her.

That keeps happening to me with comedians in the local Michigan comedy scene. They'll see me perform and then add me on Facebook, and I'll talk to them via Facebook status comments and all that... but I won't actually meet them until months later at a random show where they finally introduce themselves.

Well, the only time we talked was on the phone, and I didn't feel like telling you "Hey, um, Thabitha died" over the phone. Didn't want to take any fun out of your and your mom's birthday party. Sorry for not going, BTW.

And, if anyone else cares, apparently she wasn't put down, my brother had told me that and he had thought wrong; my dad told me he found her moaning and crying in the living room, and he petted her until she stopped breathing. Man, that made me sadder.

Anyway, end of sad story now.

If you've never had a laptop before, you start to realize how you ever did anything without one.

i still ned to get a laptop sometime too, maybe a netbook that can run photoshop and do some word processing.

I had a dream where a ghost in the form of my older brother as a kid in pajamas was crawling towards me with his head twitching and I beat him over the head with a pole until he disappeared.

So HA.

Last night, myself and seven other funnymen-friends from my university (Western Michigan) went and performed against Michigan State in Rooftop Comedy's National College Comedy Competition.

We all did 3-minute sets and the judges voted for 4 people from each team to represent. There were audience votes, too, but I don't know how much of their input went into the actual decision. They made it seem like the judges were more in charge.

In a twist of good fortune, I was one of the lucky four chosen for my team. And overall, we had a better night than our competition at MSU. Apparently our clips will be online at TBS.com around April 22nd and people can vote for us and that's great and whatever.

The dumbest part is that they made us do a minute-long joke about our "worst neighbors" just so we could promote TBS's new show "Neighbors From Hell." They showed a promo and we all laughed because Patton Oswalt is in it, playing the voice of the dog.

I'm not anemic. I WAS, for a pretty long time. It really ruins your life.

I was gonna say it's because I'm a rock-type Pokémon. They can't get under the skin with a needle. But I don't weigh enough. And my TNF cells are basically douchebags. I wouldn't want those things running around in someone else's body.

I'm O-, which is that universal donor, too.
