My girlfriend and I hit up two stores - nice haul, although I forgot to pick up the free Archie comic. Not sure why, but even though I don't really like Archie, I like picking it up every once in a while just to see what's going on.

Spoiler: The same thing as 50 years ago; Archie is more popular than anyone or thing has ever been in the real world (so much that his band is called "The Archie's" and their main song is called "Everything's Archie", which lends to the assumption "Archie" has become synonymous with "great") and Riverdale is somewhere I would never want to live.

The regular Archie book is basically just reprints and I don't recognize the other Anime styled one as proper Archie.

The redhead (name of Cheryl Blossom, I think) was the best, but she only showed up once in a while (which is always how it is with these types).

I had/have an Archie (or spinoff) with her, upon which the cover has Archie, Betty, and Veronica in the background rocking full on snow gear in the (you guessed it) snow with Archie's maw agape looking at a hotdamn Cheryl (in summer wear) whom the snow has melted around (cause she's so hot, get it?)

I remember. Not that cover, but her.
There were probably a lot of similar covers to the one you just described.

Ha, she's like the Green Ranger.

Friday was 2 months since Ray and I got married. This is my last week of work for a good four months. Next month brings something brand new.

I'm not sure whether I'm actually calm about all this, or just in such a state of panic that I don't know any better.

So I'm drunk.
I really like music and dancing when drunk.
It's a spectacular experience.
I like beer a lot.
I'm not as ##### faced as I could be.
I can't not think of DZX9 when posting drunk on here.
I miss his drunk posts. his sexy chest and tats are ignorij g us that ass.
I'm listening to Sublime and the Gorillaz and bond.

bond is a badass string quartete of 4 chicks who play kickass jsuic. go listen to them.
I found them through my gorillaz station on pandora, somehw.
anyways, my summer is gonna be aweosme

I got a job at Acadia National park, one of the biggest tourist destinations in maine, and will be livjing in one of the biggest tourist cities in maine, Bar Harbor.
I might be living with a parapelegic 36 year old woman with a car for $400 per month, or MAYBE with a 25 year old chick from Colorado who grew up in Maine but moved away and is coming back.

That chick, I'd prefer to live with her, buit her mouth is #####ing enormous. like #####i9ng steven tyler enormous. it's insane. every pic on her facebook is scary. She could eat me all the way to my balls and not even blink. it's a wee bit hot. that'd be cool.

anyways, i'm drinking bud out of the bottle. when I'm gfeeling cheap i druk milwaukee's best ice, but tonight it is bud.
This feels like a blog post.
I'm chatting with mox on AIM right now, i want him to fix his friggin mic. i can't even talk with him when he's on borerlands. that game requires chitchat. that asshole has some odd prprbolems.
I'm getting drunker ever second as the alcohol slips past the macaroni in my stomach and ebters my bloodstream through my small intestine. friggin hypothalamus has no blood brain barrier so I can't produce anti-diuretic hormone while drunk so i pee a whole bunch.
going pee now.
thats enough for this piost.

Actually I think it's 12.2MP... But megapixels aren't really as important as people seem to think once you get down to it.

The shades are badass and one of the only pairs of aviators that don't look horrible on me, but they aren't mine. My friend said I should get them too, but then followed the statement saying how he got them in Athens, Greece.

So that's not gonna happen.

On the subject of 'resolution': There's a point for any given lens size beyond which further CCD 'resolution' is mostly worthless (I say 'mostly' because obviously the pixels don't line up perfectly with the angular 'units' of resolution). Angular resolution increases linearly with lens size. [/telescopegeek]

So, I have a job at a national park this summer, Acadia National Park.
Housing in the area is crazy expensive, but I found a place at a reasonable price.

It's going to be an exciting summer. I'll be working with high school interns who will be testing new technologies on the trails of the park, such as augmented reality apps and 3D imaging tools.

I think you have the same case as I do. If I'm right, having it put together by experts is a good idea, because that case can become a cluttered mess VERY easily (and in fact I'm going to have to take my box apart and completely rewire it 'cause I screwed up the first time).

If it looks like this, then yes.

I plan on installing the old HDD myself, I feel like since they're building it I should probably drop off the DVD drive just to help them install everything. I figure I could look at their wiring and just attach anything extra to the large bundles that they'll probably hold together with those little things that I forget the name of.

Me too.

The cases aren't identical, but very similar. Mine's a year and a half old though, so that may be a factor. Anyways, the big problem with those cases is the power supply being on the bottom rather than the top of the box. It makes the wiring unreasonably difficult.

So I think I just came out of this knowing a lot more about computers than I did before.

I learned that if you don't know what you're doing, no matter what you do, you will ##### ##### up.

But no seriously my VGA cable is plugged in via a very cheap adapter right now and it's got kind of crappy resolution but I was going to buy a new monitor anyway so... wait wait oh my god I am so stupid there actually IS a DVI port on the back of my computer... I didn't even think to check, I forgot it was even there until JUST now. I was like "wait, wasn't there also a white thing... ?" a memory from back when I didn't know what the "white thing" was just popped into my head, and I checked... yeah the thing's right there. OHGOD.

But it's all good because I needed to go back out anyway to get a SATA data cable to replace the one I took from my old hard drive to make my new DVD drive work.

Screw it, I don't care. I'm happy. I got a lot of stuff done, even if I didn't do everything myself.

Only thing I'm kind of annoyed about is since I got my screen working the system has communicated to me that they did not give me the antivirus software that I bought (I didn't even rummage through the CDs they gave me). So now yeah I also have to go back to them and be like WTF.

I WORKED A LOT AND I'M STILL TIRED DON'T JUDGE ME

[slightlymorecomputerjazz]Yeah and when I said "DVI port on the back of my computer" I meant monitor. Because I normally never look at the back of my monitor. Even when I temporarily disconnected it I just left the cable in on the monitor's end and gently pulled the whole thing out. I'm saying this just to come off as less of an idiot than I seemed there because that I was definitely a typo.[/endofcomputerstuff]

I'm completely boggled by the fact that it takes less than 10 seconds and the PC is not only ready for my command, but I'm on the internet and logged on to all of my chat programs before I can even blink. I don't even have to bend over and reach under my desk and find the power button because it's on TOP of the computer. With my old computer I`d be waiting up to 2 minutes (which isn`t bad , I`m just saying, the difference is insane) and I`d have to repair the connection every single time.

And I was hoping to play Starcraft II today for the first time, but I ended up taking a double shift.
And I'm even more tired than yesterday because when I looked over my post I skipped SO many words that were in my head but didn't make it to my fingers. I just got home and I gotta do this work thing again tomorrow at noon so I'm gonna sleep.

Okay why the hell are my apostrophes showing up differentÉ...ÉÉÉééÉÉÉÉÉÉÉéÉÉé é
And why is my question mark all of a sudden...
Okay I`ll figure that out later.

Cineplex had this Glee lip sync music video contest thing, and one of my friends was like "WE GONNA DO THIS" and she directed it.
I was considered "technical support". All I really did was wire my PC to this display hub... thing. All I know is it said video in, and there were a lot of green wires going out of it, so I took a chance and plugged it in to my DVI port. Then all of the TVs in the lobby were displaying a picture of an eye with the caption, "I am watching you."

I have this reputation, you see.

But yeah then a gal gave me a DVD to pop in. Then I was done for the next few hours until I moved over to one of the huge ass digital projectors we have for playing 3D movies, which was quite simpler.

It was an unique experience in which I did not go to bed until 5 AM because I was watching someone lip sync "peas and carrots" over and over again because he didn't know the words to the song.

It was actually not bad. They might win. The prize is something like 1000 dollars and a trip to Vegas.

There's no better way to spent your Saturdays than airsoft!

Seriously, it's awesome. I got a real killing spree when I managed to flank the enemies, completed the objective (capturing a big can and bringing it to enemy's base) and shot five players in the process. Sadly though, I was later informed that one of those shot ones was my teammate. ._. But nevertheless, everything went better than expected. And my gecko worked well, though the hi-cap mags are the pits.

Gotta love when the clinics that ARE open weekend days don't take your particular brand of medical insurance. (In fact, she said they had an agreement with the provider to not take their clients. That confused me.) I hate the ER.

Mastitis is annoying, especially when a baby is punching it. Fortunately, it's early enough not to need antibiotics, and we're seeing where it goes from here.

What kind of car is it?

My day wasn't too bad I guess. I bought "Browncoats: Redemption" for my girlfriend for her birthday. It's a fan-made film set in the Firefly/Serenity universe, with all proceeds going to various charities. I bought the Blu-ray copy for her, and the DVD for me.

Now, I had woke up this morning knowing that I was going to be hitting up my local comic book shop, but it hadn't really sunk in that it was going to be for the DC universe reboot. Around noon, I realized this, and suddenly the rest of my day became pretty unbearable. I couldn't wait for quitting time to roll around, but then I had class immediately after. A voice from Undergrad Speed popped in my head going "##### IT! Just skip class and go get your comics, who gives a #####?" Most people I know are surprised to hear that I DIDN'T skip my class - 3 years ago I would've skipped class for any damn reason under the sun.

I think I might be finally growing up.

For me the DC reboot is the perfect time to really jump out of comics for a while. I've barely been paying attention as it is since I stopped working at the store, and I'm digging the vibe of reading stuff in trades when I have the time instead of having to clear out my box every month or two.

I'll check out some of the new stuff but I'm probably not gonna make a commitment. Now I just gotta find a good point to stop getting my Marvel issues for a bit.

There's a ton of flooding in my area because of the nonstop rain. I'm okay because I live on one of the highest hills in the area, but some of my friends are screwed. The grocery store I used to work at is completely #####ed - there's now 6 feet of water inside of the store, meaning that just about everything is ruined. The Kmart in the same shopping center is in the same boat. The comic book store that I go to is most likely #####ed - I texted the owner asking if he and his wife were okay. They are, but he didn't mention the store.

It's crazy how much of the area that I know is completely underwater.

Today I went Paintballing, leading the Husson outdoors club as the President.

Loads of fun, played for 4 hours, each of us spending about 50 bucks.
BUT because it is a school funded club, we give 50% reimbursements for people, so for 4 hours of awesome paintballing and conquest style games in the woods, $25 is amazing.

They also have a 3 story castle structure, surrounded by walls. People climb up to the top and shoot down on them as they try to breach the castle and take the flag. Loads of fun, and I kicked ass. 3:1 kills per death and great headshots. I got hit quite a few times too, and have some really gnarly welts.
