I watched Tangled last night with my girlfriend. Cute movie, although I don't feel like I'll ever need to see it again.

Since Literature Camp is over and I don't have to deal with high school kids again until next year, I slept for about 11 hours today. It felt good. I went to work, ate some awesome mac and cheese, and then went home to play some Mass Effect 3.

Pretty swell day.

My work place is at a record depressing slow day thus far, so I remembered about this site and decided to see whats new, sadly, looks like not much with Megaman being next to dead.

It's been long enough since I've had to worry about school, it's like a foreign concept. That is a weird realization.

Congrats on the new carll, John Car! That's a great feeling, a new car all-your-own car.
Congrats on the new Jone, Hohm Carll! I'm gonna finally be feeling that one in a week.

The one I didn't get had the sticker ripped, right at the "MEGAMAN X" part, too. The plastic was less yellowed though.

At least at first, make sure you both have a personal area. If it is your first time living with a significant other, this is a must. It's part of the adjustment to ALWAYS being around each other and far too often couples don't leave themselves a place to separate to.

Yea we got opted for a two-bedroom just for that reason. The second bedroom will be like an office of sorts, since we both have big drafting tables and drawing tablets and stuff. Gives us extra space to breathe.

I've been living with my girlfriend for what, 3 months now?

I hope that you're moving in together - not you moving in with her or vice-versa. Trust me, it's easier if you're both unpacking.

Rely on each other, but don't take the other person for granted.

Don't go to bed angry.

Realize that things may not work out. It's okay. Sometimes people discover that they can't live under the same roof. Again, it's okay.

Today I worked 12 hours for a moving company. I got out of work and ate a subway sandwich.

I'm single but dating 5 women.

I drank a 12 pack of beer earlier.

Played Borderlands 2 for an hour.

Now I'm eating ramen.

Such is my daily life.

On my days off I hit the pub or the club.

Hit the gym or something?

You need to find a new hobby to get WAY into. It'll help you out of a funk.

Not drinking.

It's been pretty good so far. We got a new place together, yeah.
We're now finally settled it, except a couple small things and had people over last night.

I just got the internet working and now we're finally just gonna settle into life instead of having things to unpack and build on the daily.

We just should've bumped into eachother etc.

It'll happen!

I need to move out of this #####ty town is what will help me out of this.

I'm moving back to Ottawa in August and I can't wait. My biggest hurdle right now is trying to build up a portfolio to get the job I want but motivation has been at an all-time low...

Ah OK. I've been there.

It was hard to give advice without knowing your situation, but looks like you need something to make you buckle down. Seems like you have a decent reason to BE motivated though.

But if you're feeling depressed I recommend that you do NOT let that make you sleep all day. I know that's what depression does but sleep habits like that only reinforce the apathy. Changing your diet up might help too.

I want you to move back here, so I'm here to help ya if you need me.

Busy, busy week!

Ray's family have been in town. I'm getting on with them fine, but the day after they arrived, we got a (complex-wide) notice that our landlord's bosses want to do an inspection on Thursday, and that they were doing a pre-inspection today.

So, on top of Lizzie's second birthday on Saturday, Father's Day yesterday (we were on a boat, mother#####ers!), and a constant set of visitors, my house has had to remain fairly close to pristine.

Daunting. That's the word. Still working on last-minute things for the real inspection on Thursday.

@Mike - Thanks for the words. I was about to take a nap when I first read that message but decided against it after reading that.

I know I should be motivated to do what I need to do but when I even try to do it a voice in the back of my head tells me, "What's the point?". And very loudly too.

I just gotta keep trying. I know things will be better when I finally move.

@Opal - She's 2 years old now, huh? Time really flies...

Went to a gay club with my girlfriend, as our friend was doing a drag show. I had a fun time, as I got ridiculously drunk. Had 7-8 beers, and then wandered off to have more alcohol. Ended up drinking with a co-worker and his ladyfriend, ordering an Incredible Hulk (my specialty in college) and an Old Fashioned because my that's what my co-worker had and I had seen The Great Gatsby a few weeks previous and the drink was mentioned. Ended up calling everyone "Old Sport" for the rest of the night as I had more of Old Fashioneds.

I watched The Evil Dead remake not too long ago. Damn, it had me so excited... I gotta say it was really one of the best... Representations of cinematic pigeon ##### I have ever witnessed. As bad as Total Recall? Worse. They take away half the mystery and with it half the horror and captivation. Don't see it if you haven't, buy the original for five bucks. Infinitely better and what it lacks in effects it makes up for in atmospher, corriogrophy, and story.

In other news... The Purge. This was highly anticipated in my area when the trailer came out. My opinions? Meeeeeeeeh... It was alright. Not really graphic enough to be a great slasher flick. For some reason I expected much more from a movie that boasted a government sanctioned night where all crime s legal. I wasn't put off. Just not satisfied.

I just realized my senile fingers hit the wrong thread after the reload. So to add on to this and make it cannon... My day is actually going quite well. Two birds with one stone. It simply MUST be a good day.

I feel a little better now that I'm in Ottawa. Still a little unmotivated, even for looking for a job. It's like, I've moved here and now I'm a little unsure about what I'm supposed to do next.

I'll figure it out, I guess. This apathy is going to kill me one day...

I got an email from google informing me that some of my messages to one person were shared with an unintended recipient.

The intended recipient was my girlfriend, and the unintended recipient was a female coworker.

I can't decide if this is hilarious or not, but my girlfriend was laughing pretty hard.

This is what I get for refusing to update my client programs.

As Jess (my wife) and I sat in the parking lot of Sheetz, I thought about what a crazy-ass year 2013 was:

-Presented a paper at a conference
-Graduated with my English degree and started back up in the MBA program
-Finally started dealing with my depression by seeing a therapist
-(Ex)-girlfriend broke up with me (good thing, trust me)
-Almost became homeless - spent a little over a month sleeping on random couches, beds, and my car before getting a place
-Started dating my co-worker (now wife), got engaged, and now married

Here's hoping 2014 is a good year as well
