Hasbro has essentially killed the 3 3/4 line; Walmart got a stupid gold spraypainted two-pack line "honoring" each movie - it is believed that these are the final 5 points of articulation (5POA) figures that we'll see, which is a really #####ty way for the line to go out. There is no mainstream 5POA line for TROS. The only figures for the movie are being released through the Vintage series, which isn't terrible, but I also hate paying $15 for a figure like that. Honestly, Hasbro has been mishandling the line since The Force Awakens and although I doubt Disney will, I wouldn't mind the license going to someone else. Hasbro has done a lot of cool ##### with the line over the years, but their distribution model is absolute ##### with no signs of improving and they make a lot of questionable choices with their offerings.

Kids aren't really into toys, period. It's a bizarre thing, but toy sales are down all over because of video games and YouTube. Much like people watch "Let's Play" videos for games they're never going to get around to, kids are apparently watching unboxing videos or toy review videos instead of buying toys.

Anywho, I got furloughed today. We were expecting it to happen a month or two from now, but the announcement came out of nowhere this morning. I've already filed for unemployment. The furlough is expected to last 60 days; at the end of it they'll either extend it by another 30 days, bring us back, or we get laid off. On the plus side, I've got plenty of time to get my wisdom teeth out, provided I can find an oral surgeon to do it.

Hard news to hear. Definitely a good time to get the wisdom teeth out though. I was back to work 3 days after having mine out and man was it weird working a labor job on opiates. Having a break for an actual recovery should be taken while you can.

I'm the total opposite.  My father is working in a manufacturing company so I'm joining him as administrative assistant while doing my older job but at reduced hours.  Basically I'm working more and getting more pay.  His company is going to be producing stuff to help with the virus.

The least safe thing I'm going to do is be the best man in my best friend's elopement ceremony this Friday (as all wedding venues are closed this summer). 9 people total will be there.

Apart from that, I leave the house to run and get groceries. I'll be working from home until July, at least.

The board was down, but I ran a 5k in 24:05 a couple weekends ago.

I have been running 3-5 miles every day, sometimes way more on the weekends (did a half marathon a bit over a month ago). At 30 I'm kind of turning my health around, but trying not to make a big deal of it until I hit the 100lbs off mark.

Thanks! It's such a good feeling to be the most fit I've ever been. It's weird being 30 and finally weighing less than I did at 12, and for the first time in my life not being obese. Just going running 3-5-ish miles every day while listening to audiobooks is a nice little meditative break and work from home has made it even easier because I can as sweaty as I want at my desk, haha.

I've been seeing the late 20's to mid 30's really destroy a lot of my friends, but I've been motivated by the few people who have been turning things around. I'm glad to hear you're part of the latter group.

You kids have it so easy now.  When I was in my 30s it went downhill uphill, both ways, and that's how we liked it.

Been kinda #####ed up by everything going on with race lately. I'm mixed (re: Black) and it's been rough for me and others I'm in contact with. But there's good coming out of it I think. I've kinda started a group at work and we're making roads towards something better. We have a Q&A this week to demystify the black experience and stuff like that with people in the studio and I'm gonna be one of the panelists.

Attitude is everything. In my mid-20's I realized that I liked challenging myself more than anything. A growth mindset is a great way to face the future head-on.

I think its that self-challenge mentality that got me into such a bad spot. It's one of the reasons I liked to smoke or drink when I'm playing games, I found myself self-handicapping and using that as an excuse for the challenge. Eventually I almost started drowning in it as it became the norm.

I got my job back the other day, That was neat.  Can you dudes believe I work at college-level Writing center?  Like, actually reading other student's work and improving on it?  Those of you who know me from like... 2004 might be blown away by that I guess... Maybe.   I actually blame this board and the people I kept in communication around that time for building my writing skills and building my vocabulary in a lot of ways.

I'm happy to have the thing back though.  I had to give it up when me and Peng split up.  It's a rewarding job, honestly, and I've helped at-least a couple of student's turn their grades from failing one to a modestly passing one.   Some of the job is just letting people in difficult situations know that they're not alone-- which goes a long way for me since that's the job I want to be doing in about half a decade.
