I bought MM1 on VC Sunday and blew threw it on 2 lives in about 35 minutes.  Not too shabby for not having played it in a number of years.

Man, ##### the MMAC.  THIS is the REAL deal.

Yeah, I bought Ikeoko Mega Man 1 on the VC. We were playing it.

Yeah, I'm realizing a bigger gap between MMAC and MM1 than I thought. We were playing Fire Man's stage, and there's a little hole near a ladder. In MMAC, if you drop down, you don't die. It's just a platform.

I tried it on MM1. I fell through, and sorta "warped" far to the right of the stage. It was nuts. We were laughing pretty hard.

That was a random glitch, then, because I know exactly which pit you're talking about and it works just like the MMAC for me.

MM1: In the Fireman level, there is a screen that appears to have a pit in the bottom and a ladder next to it. Jump into the pit (you need velocity), and when the screen scrolls down, Mega Man will be inside a wall.

This is from the "Rockman Tricks" page on TASVideos. So yes, it requires manipulation.
