It says there are two NEWLY DESIGNED RMs. It's possibly the rest were designed at an earlier date and unused until being touched up for the new game. Unlikely, though.

I like how Tornado Man, the Robot Master everyone seems to hate, has the best stage music.

I know, that's just mind numbing...

Only a bit brighter than MM4, actually, most of those Robot Masters had pretty vibrant colours.

So, with MM2 out today on the VC, things are looking very good for MM9 to be coming out next week.

Other than stuff things up further than CoA...

They should hire me as a freelance type when it comes to anything MM related.

Yes.

Just played a bit of MM2 on the VC.

Beat Airman, Quickman, Crashman, and Flashman.

Question though.  What is it about the song Mega Man can't beat Airman?  I fought Airman on difficult and took him down with ease.

I have no idea.

Anyway, I downloaded MM2 and beat it in 1 hour exactly. I managed to beat QuickMan's stage without using FlashMan's weapon, and ALMOST beat the switch block of doom part in HeatMan's stage.

Tomorrow or sometime this week I'll play through it on Difficult.

That's what I'm doing now.

And I also beat Quickman's stage without using time stopper.

It's not really as hard as I thought it was. Actually, I've been doing better in the Virtual Console versions than in the PS2 MMAC versions. I guess that shows how much better it is.

By the way, Xero, the "Fire + Select" trick does work on the Wiiware version of Mega Man.

Select is mapped to the "-" button.

I don't think I've ever used Time Stopper on QuickMan's stage. Ever.

I didn't even think about it as an option until years later, anyway.

I still don't know why I ever thought that was hard in the first place.

Same with the HeatMan switch block part, except for ONE part near the end, it isn't too hard.

I can't beat any Classic MM game before 7 on MMAC. They're too far removed. MM1GB seems to be completely beyond me as well, I can only get "Electric Man"'s jargon alright, and I can get through the other RM's from MM1, but Quickman's level in that game is disgustingly challenging for me.

I only have vague memories of a time when QuickMan's stage was hard. Nowadays I might die once by accident, but rarely more than that.

I remember seeing all those items like the 1UP and the Weapon Energy on the sides all along the way, and I always figured they were just there to mess you up. Like, you go for them and die, just to throw you off track.

And then one day I realized that Time Stopper works at this part, and all the Weapon Energy is used to keep it up as you fall down.

I couldn't get past the first part when I was four.

It's a cake walk, but still. I have a grudge against that room.

I'm playing Mega Man 2 on MMAC right now. I gifted the game to Ikeoko. I'll play the real thing over there.

I've beaten everyone with a buster only except Heat so far. I just got past the room mentioned before with the disappearing blocks. Had I found the second group of blocks when I was young, I doubt I would've beaten the stage.

But Heat Man was the only boss I could never beat because of his stage.

As with Megaman 1, I've beat Megaman 2 not too long ago so I'm passing it up.

However, I'm downloading Megaman 9 the first chance I get. In fact, I have 1000 points already set from getting a card yesterday (and buying Super Mario RPG first, lol).

I downloaded it just because I rented it when I was little and never got past one of the first bosses and had to return it.

Now that I've downloaded it, I realize how pathetic that is.

It's awesome you turkey #####er. It's on a completely different level than #####ing Paps Mear and Muriel & Logie. It's not really hella easy, I remember getting to some sectret area being a bother but that was years ago.

But I'll be doing the same thing and waiting out Earthbound (never got much past Twoson though I lover the game) if I ever get my Wii online again and actually decide to get DL games.

Paper Mario is definitely easier than Mario RPG.

Mario RPGs are excellent.

Besides Super Paper Mario though. It's just "OK".

I find the only really good one was Mario RPG. Paper Mario I rented and never finished, it was good but not that great, and ever consecutive one after it was trash. The first Mario & Luigi was pretty good, but not as good as RPG.

Most Mario RPG games are good, but Legend of the Seven Stars tops all.

They're all pretty easy, though, but they're always fun.

What Edge said, because though SMRPG wasn't my favourite, I'd still place it there on my list.

Not sure where I'd place either M&L though. I did enjoy both. I think between Thousand Year Door and Paper Mario, with Superstar Saga first.

In fact, if it wasn't for Super Paper Mario, I'd be excited about ANY possible upcoming Mario RPG. I liked the game, but... eh. I liked it for a different reason than I enjoy other Mario RPGs.

Just mainly the fact that you level up. I was going to mention that in my last post actually but I didn't feel like looking up "RPG."

I was basically thinking of Diablo when I decided I'd just call it an RPG and leave it at that. Diablo, you run around in real time fighting things. And yes it's very different from Paper Mario, but there's still that real-time sort of thing and Mario RPGs generally keep things simple... sooo... you know what I mean? I decided to think of it as a sort of RPG-platformer. Go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong, that was just my thought-process behind it without bothering to look anything up.

Well, I beat Mega Man I and II all in one day (which is a HUGE accomplishment for me).

Anyone think they may be holding back on 3, 4, 5, and 6 for future installments?

Also, I narrowed my list of who resembles who the best.

Jewel Man = Top Man
Concrete Man = Guts Man
Magma Man = Needle Man
Galaxy Man = Astro Man
Plug Man = Dynamo Man
Tornado Man = Harpuia
Splash Woman = Leviathan
Hornet Man = Blast Hornet/Magnet Man

Just played a bit of MM2 on the VC.

Beat Airman

LIAR.  Air Man can't be beat.  Well, not without Leaf Shield, but you need all your E cans to beat Wood Man...

Question though.  What is it about the song Mega Man can't beat Airman?  I fought Airman on difficult and took him down with ease.

... it's either
A) A Joke (which obviously flew right over your head, GEEZE)
B) Set from the perspective of a child/childhood memory of someone who is not overly skilled.

And yes, the pause trick DOES work on Mega Man, but good #####ing luck pulling it off with the way + and - are positioned on the #####ing Wii Remote.  I hope you can use the Classic Controler for MM9, because I HATE using the Wii Remote as an NES controler, in large part because the start and select buttons are mapped to horribly placed buttons and are about unusable.

PS. Mario RPG is the ONLY good Mario RPG, all the Paper Mario games are trash compared to it.  I've not got a chance to play M&L.

It's funny how the last Wily fight is a joke.

I mean all he does is fly in a infinity patern and shoot shots at you which can easily be dodged.  Then you just Bubble lead the crap out of him.

Possibly an exaggeration, but I'm godly at Powered Up. I'm pretty agile and can avoid numerous traps and enemy attacks.

But, when I started to play Mega Man 2, I realized a pretty big difference. I can't react fast enough to some attacks.
