MegaMan 9 Fake Retail Package

Well, it's not quite fake. It's official, and will be available in limited (200?!) quantity. But the actual game isn't on there, it's just bonus stuff on the CD. It may come with a voucher for the game on PSN or XBLA.

So, yeah.

I'm definitely getting this when it's available.

Also, the fake box-art shirts will be available soon, too.

Wasted near all my E-tanks on Wily machine 2.

Why does Capcom make awesome things yet never give it to their fans? D:

Vinch, on the actual Capcom-Unity page, they say they WILL be selling about 200 of them on the official store, so it means they WILL be available for their fans, but the fans are gonna' have to be quick.

Only 200? I'll probably be too late.

Man, that's awesome. Too bad it's in very limited quantities I doubt I'll have enough cash to buy it once they put it out on the store (if they do decide to)

I WANT that.  It's not a physical copy, but at least I can put it on my shelf.  It will hold me over until we can buy a physical copy at least.

If not, I'm sure some will end up on eBay.

Enjoy paying a few hundred for it then.

Yeah, I just have this horrible feeling that I'm gonna' go online one night and find out they went for sale in the morning, and they were sold out an hour later.

I'd gladly shell out whatever the cost may be for it. I doubt it'd be more than $25, anyway.

Er, that's pretty cool and all, but they COULD'VE made a new "crappy MM boxart" image, yeesh.

Most Mario RPG games are good, but Legend of the Seven Stars tops all.

They're all pretty easy, though, but they're always fun.

THERE'S ONLY ONE MARIO RPG! You don't have to specify it's subtitle! The other similar themed games don't count as Mario RPGs! They just can't! Don't! Won't!

I never played Thousand Year Door, or M&L2. The latter because I heard how crap it was.

Everyone except Mikero and I.

RIGHT ON.
(Well maybe MM7 but that doesn't really count.)

Beat MM2 on difficult.

I wonder if MM9 really is difficult as they say. If it turns out to be easy I'll be a bit disappointed in all these statements saying it's unrelenting, etc.

Though I hope when they say difficult they don't mean MMZ ##### difficult.

WiiWare and Virtual Console games come out on Mondays in North America. Japan has them come out on Wednesday and I'm pretty sure they come out on Friday in Europe. I'm not 100% sure though.

It'll be Nintendo's fault too.

The 360 and PS3 versions will come out on Wednesday. Nintendo will screw themselves up in the ass if they don't release it on Monday. And Capcom can't do anything about it.

I'm pretty sure it's because they don't want to spoil it.

I mean, if he isn't in MM9, then it MAY be possible he could be an unlockable or something extra.

I mean, if he isn't in it, something's very wrong... I mean, he was in MM7, 8 and MM&B, yet he's nowhere to be found in MM9? Feels like what happened to Dynamo after X6... although he wasn't really involved in X6 at all.

They could just write him out like they did to Duo for MM&B. (Right? That's what happened? I think I remember that's what happened.)

Poor Duo.

Unfortunately, I forgot all about him until you said that.

No Duo.  Not ever.

Bass, yes.  He's an established Wily bot now, and his total absence would be quite puzzling.

I never really understood the timeline in Classic. But as of MM 9 is it like this?

Protoman dissapeared, presumably dead.

Bass is around chillin.

Dou went back to space.

And then all the other robot masters are "dead".

And Wily is still alive with the new robot masters but hasn't built Zero yet.

And Light is still around with the whole crew.

According to Power Battles 2 (which who knows when that takes place), Zero is in development. Proto Man isn't dead, he was in both of the endings of Megaman 8 and Megaman & Bass.

I think the Robot Masters are eventually repaired and sent to do work where they specialize in.

Could have been models for show.

I mean it's kinda cruel make them offline permenantly since some of those robots aren't at fault due to Wily's programming.

Don't forget that Duo said he might return.

He also said something similar in the Battle Network series too, so I could speculate he'd return in Star Force or something.

But of course, that's Star Force so who cares? I want to at least see Duo make a small return in the Classic Series sometime.

And he was the total opposite of what he's supposed to be. Duo left, and said he might come back, so I don't care if he isn't in MM9. Bass however should at least make some kind of appearance, theres no Bass theme in the OST so I have no idea. Though, Proto man's whistle isn't there either. God knows what he'll be doing besides being playable.
