I beat everyone with a buster only.

Xero's right. Splash Woman is pathetic. If you hug the wall, you'll most likely dodge all the trident blasts.

Hornet Man and Plug Man are difficult as crap. They make me run all around the room. I like that.

Galaxy Man is simple. Concrete Man too.

Tornado Man is about medium. It's sometimes hard to try to nail a hit and dodge all the tornadoes. Jewel Man is the same way, but really, it was like a combination of fighting Plant Man and Crash Man. He jumps if you jump, so it's easy to pass.

Magma Man is fun. You just gotta know where he's gonna jump.

You can suck up Splash Woman's tridents with the black hole bomb btw. Then nail her with your Horny Hornets.

Hornet Man is pretty simple once you get the bees down.
Plug Man is just brutish and awful. I hate jumping bosses on hilly terrain.

Same goes for Magma dweeb.

But Concrete Man, Splash Woman and Galaxy Man are all just ridiculous.

I somehow always get hit by Concrete Man's Concrete Booger..

I also love taking down Hornet Man, he's way too easy when you can aim the Magma Bazooka right.

Rush Coil is your friend for the first three screens.

Rush Jet across the first set of magnet lifts. Make sure you have five or six bars of ammo left on it (fly across the bottom, BTW) and pick up the large weapon refill at the right edge of that screen (the balloon can easily be defeated with trident). The shield flyers can be taken out with trident as well, just make sure you don't get hit because you lose all your momentum which will really hurt on the ice.

How you take out the Uzi Joe is your choice, though I recommend either Concrete Shot or trident. Then Rush Coil up to the next screen, put a Blackhole Bomb between the Joe and the Met, and Rush Coil up again.

Activate Rush Jet on the platform BEFORE the one that has the grey cloud extending underneath it NOT QUITE TO THE NEXT PLATFORM. In other words, the platform before the platform with the second steppable cloud under it. If you hold up-right on Rush Jet you'll do fine, then you can fly closer to ground right before you run out of ammo for further optimization.

Now equip Plug Ball (while you're falling off Rush Jet maybe) and make sure you KEEP JUMPING when the rain is on your side.

At this point it just becomes boss luck.

Concrete Man was actually hard of me because his pattern was unpredictable.  Unlike the other bosses.

You never know if he's gonna shoot concrete at you, or dash into you, or jump on you.

The strategy is the same for all three attacks, though. Run away and jump.
Eh, I never get hit by the guy.

Unpredictable would be Plug Man.
I never know if he's going to walk or jump, and I'm usually too busy dodging ceiling balls to notice half the time.

Jewel Satelite + Bobbles (Wily Stage 1/Plug Man's Stage) = Easy Screw picking.

I'm going to aim for the dumb "999" screw challenge.

EDIT: Done. Bought everything. Another challenge done.

I went and got the bunny hop challenge done for fun.

Then I finally tried Time trials or whatever and failed and I don't feel like doing it anymore.

How the ##### do people get 2 minutes (let alone 1:30) on GalaxyMan's stage while I get 2:30 and I thought I did REALLY good.

It's just a matter of blowing $30+ on it now. Don't think it's worth that much.

You should be able to beat Splash Man or Jewel Man now.

And even though I played for over 5 hours, my game time was 1 hour, 30 minutes and such.

I'll probably never achieve the one for beating it under an hour. I can pull it off in MM1 and 2, but probably not 9.

Also, how the ##### does anyone beat this game in 28 minutes?

I was gonna say that but who wants to use that on a miniboss? It'd be better to save it for Magma Man himself.

Especially since Tornado Blow has barely any weapon energy... nor does Concrete Shot... or Black Hole Bomb... or Jewel Satellite...

Yeah, I've recently realized I suck at Classic Mega Man games.
It really surprised me even though the signs were there all along.
I mean, never having beaten a single one should have been a pretty big hint, but I just didn't see it until now.

Even if the Concrete shot has barely any power, it can pretty much decimate most of the stronger enemies in one hit (mine carts, cannons). Only disadvantage is the range.

Well if that's the case, I stand corrected.

Only Tornado Blow sucks.

... well. Sorta. It's better than Gravity Hold. You can at least reach higher surfaces. If only it actually killed enemies on screen rather than make them go WHOOSH BYE BYE.

While we're on the subject, I may as well rate the weapons as I see them.
Jewel Shield: Broken. Most of the annoying bits in many levels can just be bypassed with this up. Use it for collecting bolts in Plug Man's stage, too.

Plug Ball: Is there a use for this besides killing Tornado Man? I couldn't think of any wall climbing enemies to use it on (maybe spiders?).

Tornado Blow: Only useful where it's required and in the Magma Man fight. Not sure if it increase jump height or not, but you have the Rush Coil and Jet anyway.

Magma Bazooka: This would be way cooler if there were more shots. Still, nice for hitting at an angle.

Hornet Chaser: It's a BEE GUN. As much as I normally hate weapons like this, I use it all the time. It's invaluable for nabbing impossible items, kills enemies you don't feel like dodging, and has a substantial amount of shots. Absolutely rapes parts 1 and 3 of Wily Castle 2's boss.

Laser Trident: Useful for piercing armor. Doesn't do much damage to most things, but it has its place. Tons of ammo, but just not strong enough.

Concrete Block: Stepping stones, freezes magma, blocks lasers, kills enemies. As I said before, the downside is the wacky range, but man does it pack a surprising punch.

Black Hole Bomb: It looks really cool, and it can be placed on the screen pretty easily. It'll suck in shots and stuff, so it's a great defensive weapon. Doesn't work so well for attacks.
Tornado Blow does increase your jump, its good for defeating a lot of enemies you don't want to deal with. Its the best weapon when time attacking stages.

... I swear... I attempted the Headbanging challenge. I fought Splash Woman without my helmet. I had more than half my health there.

One hit from a trident, and I was gone.

What... the crap.

As I mentioned before all the weapons are broken/useful/valuable to have.

I mean seriously.  Jewel Sattelite is the #####ing best weapon ever.  Not only does it protect you from most enemies, but it also repels their shots damaging them in the process.  Using it on a Sniper Joe was great when his shots went right back at him.  On top of that you can move with it and it never drains while you use it.

Beating Plug Man with it is so easy. Stand in front of him and spam the attack; he'll get hit every time.
