I think it's actually cool, because you'll end up playing as a character you may not normally use and you'll think: "Hey, this character isn't so bad..."

I dunno, it's happened before when I picked random in Melee...

Infact the whole roster leaks and stuff is #####ing pissing me off.  Everyone at Gamefaqs and SWF are going about saying they "Know the Roster" and now we don't even know if any of it is true.

I just though of something about that Roster pic Nova posted. In SSB and SSBM, characters were grouped together by series. The ones in the pic aren't, they seem to be randomly placed.

True but you'd have to think that Sakurai has upped security this time and is preventing any and all leaks.

So far the only thing that was really slipped was the confirmation of Ness, Jigglypuff, and Lucario as playable.

This was on the Dojo, it's supposedly the roster of the demo at E for All. Bowser and Peach aren't grouped with Mario...

Those are from demos. The final version might have them grouped together. It'd make more sense to group them instead of random placement.

Looking at the new pictures, it probably isn't that hard to fake a roster screen. The disc would be harder. Have they posted any gameplay screenshots or footage?

The lack of a hand icon in the leaked one makes it seem fake.

It's fake, it's obvious why, they used a bad camera, put on Youtube for even MORE bad quality... etc.

Oh well. Disk looks nice though, but the white looks a little ugh. I'm hoping the real disk has dark colors like Melee.

The thing I'M wondering is why he didn't at LEAST record 5 seconds of him beating the crap out of Link in that battle instead of cutting it off before the battle. That makes me question it.

True, but still. It's really close to the Japanese date, this COULD be real.

Not to mention... the poster of the video is one of those so called "Melee Pros" we hate... he's from Japan and his battle name is Ikki.

Doesn't make it more credible, but he did say that he was going to try his best to get Brawl first. Which, may or may not, suggest that the video is fake.

If there was even 2 seconds of actual gameplay, I would've believed it 100%. I'm 50/50 now.

Hmm, never mind, he's not a Melee Pro, he's a Tournament Director. My bad.

Another reason why the video is short and choppy is because he recorded it with his cell phone.

I'm not trying to convince anyone that it's real, though, I'm just bothered that most people here are like, "lawl its fake." Faking a video is NOT an easy task.

Oh yeah, who's expecting a character tomorrow? For two weeks we've had a character revealed on Wednesday. I won't put my hopes up, but it's possible we may get one of the characters that was leaked... probably Ness or Lucario.

And this video has indeed convinced a lot of people on other forums. Though, there's still arguments wether the video is real or not.

We'll know for sure, tomorrow, if the guy doesn't post actual gameplay of Solo mode.

Shortfuse of SWF just contacted me and pointed out something very interesting. Here's what he had to say:

I started the "Japanese Forums" thread almost 3 weeks ago. It got some attention and was pretty popular. Gimpyfish grew interested in the way the SWF community was involved in this project of checking Japanese sites. He went to talk to a few friends who are major smash players in Japan. What happened later (and he announced on the SMYN podcast) is that he said he obtained some link to some great sites including what he though to be the Japanese Smashboards. It turned out it wasn't and the rest of the sites where just simple tournament sites. I didn't pay much attention to them. Gimpy did say since one of his friends would likely get the game early, since he hosts Melee tournaments. One of the tournament sites is http://ketubato.com . What's the correlation? Well, look at the user who uploaded the video. It's queensaki. Who is queensaki? It's none other than the webmaster of ketubato.com. What am I getting at? Yes, Gimpy's friend who he said was going to have Brawl early...who hosts tournaments is the one who uploaded the Brawl video to youtube. Yes guys, it's real.

I agree very much with what he said, and it looks like this video is indeed real, using the logic explained above. I'll let you be your own judge on the matter.

A digital camera is no tricky thing to acquire. Holding it steady and straight at an immobile object is no problem.

Any blurry, wonky picture is obviously fake. Or taken by a total moron which disqualifies it as proof as well. Seriously, why do people even care?
