So... With all these fun updates coming in every business day of the week, it gives quite a bit to think on.

Today's update brought us the return of several old Pokemon for the Pokeball Item, and gave way to some even more interesting information... This time around, it seems that the extremely rare Mew will be dropping a disc of some sorts, and from what Sakurai posted, possibly other items as well.

Anyone have any guesses on what they'll be dropping, and what the CD's purpose holds? I'm inclined to think that they'll be dropping rare trophies, myself, and that the CD is one such item, or else it'll trigger an unlock of sorts, maybe even new stickers.

I just go here for information. Seems to be the most reliable site.

It is official, anyway.

That's where SB got this info from, you fool.
The topic is for talking about the updates.

As for the discs:

The last good update was a looong time ago.

I think it was the Stage Builder.

They should announce a new character to make everyone happy for a bit. Because November was "Crap update month".

Also it's funny how December 3rd's update was horribly pointless.

Today's update was nice. Good to see you get stuffz from rare Pokemon like Mew.

Yes, funny how it was horrible when Sakurai doesn't care much if Americans get the game or not. It wasn't even his decision to release it on that date. Now what WAS funny was how on the Japanese release date of Brawl we got a bad update.

Apparently update 150 is comming up... and so far the 50's were good updates (50: Ike, 100: Wifi). Although after Stage Builder, I'm pretty much set with updates.

No, I meant it was funny because so many people thought there was gonna be a OMFG AWESOME update that day. I already knew the update wouldn't be anything really special.

I know right? In Melee they were meh. And here once again they're meh.

They make awesome character models for the playable characters and then they do this. -_-;

However, I thought the graphics for the new Pokemon looked good, for some reason it seems like they just rehashed the models from Melee for the old ones.

Assit Trophies look good, it's the Pokemon that look sucky. I think it's because they're straight from PBR for the Wii where the newer Pokemon generally look better.

I can't find the list of the ones found at E for All.. but I know a Metroid was one of them. It sucked on player's heads.

There was apparently only a small amount of AT's during the E for All demos, so the same ones kept appearing. There might be one or two that weren't announced on the site.

And yeah, I just checked:

- Metroid
- Advance Wars
- Jill (Drill Dozer)
- 8-bit Lakitu

8-Bit Lakitu was technically confirmed by the Dojo in the Excitebike AT update.

But that's really all the new ones they had there? They really limited things in that demo...

I read it from two people who said they played the game at E for All... Although anonymous, they were both posted by different users.

That and I saw it on a website a long time ago... but I don't remember the name of it. And that's it, so you can take my word for it if you want.

That's not enough valid proof. >.>

Well, we'll just have to wait for Sakurai to post it on the Dojo if it is true.

Bah, today gave us a pretty lousy double update.

First off, it's just a more indepth look at the Smash Ball, and how it works. Seems that even after you get it, it doesn't fire off the Final Smash immediately, and you can position it just right and use a regular special move to trigger it. Also seems that you can knock the effect out of someone and steal the Smash Ball from them, Mario 3 End Level Item Cards style, and that'll make the match more intense.

In the next corner, we have X Tunnel Theme. I sadly got overly happy and thought it was MEGAMAN X, but nay, it's some obscure GB title that was Japanland only, and there's not even a stage of it in this game. Apparantly, they'll be tossing music in from games and such not even in this game, so expect quite a bit of musical love to come our way.

All in all, it's... so so, I guess.

I was almost as happy as SB was.
Except I thought it would be something from Metroid Fusion, because there are X in that game.

Then I remember Fusion wasn't really all that great in retrospect, and sunk a little.

So it didn't hurt as much when I saw it was from a game that only exists because no one played it.

I bet Doctor plays in tournaments where they don't actually play the game, they just wavedash all over the place and fap to it.
On Final Destination, no less.

Smash ball is an awesome idea. Smash needed some sort of Hyper Combo type of thing.

Oh, I actually LOL'd... in class. XD *save'd*

Anyway, yeah, I hate all the "pro players" where they all think they're cool just because they can wavedash and glitch the game to their advantage.

Play the game the way it was meant, fools!

The awesome thing is that they don't use items specifically because it breaks the advantage that wavedashing and glitching gives the handful of characters who can do it well.

Real men use items.
And Peach.

Some of the levels for brawl LOOK cool, but seem like vague updates of final destination. There is all of this hype about how awesome meta knight's stage it- but it's just a boring flat stage with a moving background. Am I right?

It has other objects in it, actually, and eventually you get to the deck of the ship.
It's sort of a neat dynamic thing, but yes, the main stage layout seems somewhat bare.
