Oh yeah, and today's update sucked. I'm starting to get tired of seeing all of these Smash Ball updates. x_x

Jiggs has gotta' be confirmed, first. God, I hope so. She's one of the few veteran characters I have my doubt about - I hope she returns.

Some update that was. A giant blue Jewish Penguin snorting crack and throwing enemies everywhere. I guess they didn't have too many options for his final smash, though, so I can't really complain too much on it.

There are MANY options for his Final Smash.

Anything with Dark Matter and his belly opening into a mouth, really.

Dude, when his stomach opened up it gave me the willies. Granted, Kirby's Dreamland 3 was one of the first videogames I'd ever fully played through and completed, and I was obviously very young, but...

The awesome thing is that they don't use items specifically because it breaks the advantage that wavedashing and glitching gives the handful of characters who can do it well.

On the other hand, Luigi would die a horrible death without wavedashing

I think it's really cool how they are bringing the characters together with the story. For instance, the Arwing lands in DK's jungle.

I know this all too well, since I can't wavedash, and I had the great misfortune of playing Smash against a regular group of people yesterday, choosing Luigi because, hey, he's green, and WAM.
Ass handed to me on a silver platter when someone swapped controls mid-game with an ace playing Shiek.

OKAY OKAY AWESOME NEWS EVERYBODY

I may be getting my hands on Super Smash Bros. Brawl next week, depending on whether or not this is real.

Last week, I was talking to a girl at my school who isn't a big gamer, but we somehow ended up on the topic of Smash Bros. She said that her brother has an advance copy of Brawl. Now, since she isn't that knowledgeable about gaming, I kind of assumed that she either A) made a mistake and just THOUGHT it was Brawl, or B) maybe her brother had his hands on a leaked copy of the DEMO, at most.
I let it go.

Today, she came up to me with pictures of her brother holding the box, with her standing next to him. There were a few pictures of her with the box, a few with both of them and the box, a few with just her brother and the box, and a few solid pictures of him playing the game alone.

She still doesn't know for sure if it's the full game and not the demo, because she didn't even know the difference, but he does at least own some form of Brawl. I asked her to talk to him and see how much money he'd be willing to sell it for, or if he can get another copy.

I'm willing to be that if by some stretch of reality that it is indeed a true full copy of Brawl, he wouldn't want to sell it. However, I would be willing to pay $100 for it, possibly a bit more. I'd say that's worth paying for a game over two months before its official release.

And don't worry, I also asked her to find out the roster.

She doesn't know what she's talking about really, and too naive to get any straight answers out of, but the pictures don't lie. Neither does she, and she has no reason to. However, I'm still extremely skeptic, but you never know... let's cross our fingers, maybe?

I probably won't get my hands on it even if it is real, but I'll try to get her to bring in the box and take a picture of myself with it and the disc.

Personally, I have enough to patience not to blow over MAXIMUM $150, but I doubt I'd even bother that high. That's the most I can imagine myself paying.

I think $100-125 is reasonable for a game this epic that won't be out for so long, but you bet your ass that if I get it for ANY price I ain't sellin' it.

I will get my hands on images of the back and the disc regardless of whether or not I end up with the game. I will make sure of at LEAST that.

ASR, you are crazy to think that anyone has an advanced copy of Brawl.  So don't even hold your breath.

Hmm, well anyway, I think you can't fake playing the game UNLESS he like, went to a video on his Wii via Youtube and took a picture there. Still, the box art can easily be faked with paper and a printer.

So anyway, if you really DO get this, do you plan on going to GameFAQs yourself or can I do it? I'd give credit to you, of course.

I think I'd do the right thing and keep quiet except to a select few.

Either way, Xero's right, it's pretty far-fetched. There's still always that tiny chance that it's a full copy. I could understand a demo disc being leaked, though. That's probably what it is, since E for All wasn't too long ago.

There's still always the off-chance, and I will indeed hold my breath. I'm a VERY skeptical person, so give me a break once in a while and let me be foolish. It's not like there's any downsides to this investigation.

Again, if this is real, and you actually do manage to get the real version, is that OK if I spread the stuff you give me as a rumour? It's hard for me to know everything and not to tell anyone. <_<

MAYBE. It's from CoroCoro which is a pretty reliable magazine (revealed all the Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl before the game came out). We're not sure if it'll have the entire roster, the beginning roster, or the one that's on the Dojo at the moment.

I hope it's the entire one... I don't care how spoilerish it is, I want to know who all the playable characters are... very badly.

Today's update confirmed WiFi, basic brawl, and team.

...Wi-Fi was confirmed in September. Today's update was just more specific with the "With Anyone" mode.

The way the sentense is typed makes it sound like this update confirmed WiFi for the first time. Now if you typed something like, "Today's update was more indepth on WiFi confirming..." etc.

Man, are they bringing back more of the old characters? Because those are pretty few. Or are those the only ones that are solidly set in stone to make it into the game.

They're the only ones set in stone as of yet.

You can bet your ass on Captain Falcon, but the questionable returns are:

- Ganondorf
- Jigglypuff
- Luigi
- Mewtwo
- Mr. Game & Watch

And HARDLY any chance:
- Pichu (oh, who am I kidding, he's not back)
- either Roy/Marth
- possibly Ness

Pichu would be completely pointless to bring back. Dr. Mario is probably also gone, however if they were to make Alternate costumes.. then Dr. Mario could return as an alternate costume for Mario.

They could change Roy's moveset, since he was Marth's clone... Ness better be back in, because Lucas is basically a Luigi-fied Ness, with the different attacks and same specials and such.

I'm sure the others I didn't mention in my post will be back.

The only vets I seems getting axed are Roy, Dr.Mario, Young Link, and Pichu.

Out of everyone I mentioned, I'm only truly expecting Ganondorf, Jigglypuff, and Luigi.

I can't imagine them NOT keeping Luigi in, clone or not. He's too big of a character and is indeed a vet... so seriously.

Young Link, Dr. Mario, and Pichu are all out, I'm sure. I think that Ike replaced BOTH Roy and Marth. I think that Lucas replaced Ness. That means Roy, Marth, and Pichu are cut (according to my thoughts.)
