Wait, Suda and Mikami? What about Suda and Hideo doing Project S together?
EA'd better just be providing money. But it sounds like EA is going to water down Suda's artistic visions, this makes me sad.
Travis? Travis!? Traaaaaaaaaaavis!! Yeah, it'd be neat to have another Travis.
Yeah, anyway I have mixed feeling about this. It sounds like Suda is going to stay true to his moral of 'Punk's Not Dead' and I guess it'll be dramatic like always. Sadly, I fear that Suda is going to try and do things his way but EA and Mikami are going to weigh him down. I mean, after what Mikami's cool and all, but sometimes he's just kind of... Bleh. My biggest fear is the EA is going to ruin everything and gobble up GHM. Seriously, EA's becoming too powerful. They're trying to take over the videogame world. Now it seems Suda is going to join the victims of EA's power hungry Pac-attack.
I guess I'm a tad excited that Suda is doing stuff, but I'm still a tad worried.

The problem with BK3 is that it's focusing on the one thing that's been turning me away from games lately: too much complexity and customization. Don't get me wrong, I love customization. I ate MM:PU's Construction Mode up. It's just, the menus all look so complicated and annoying and there's too MANY possibilities and it's TOO open and stuff like that. I like simplicity in my video games. Pick up and play, but not shallow. Super Mario Galaxy was a good example of a recent-ish game that worked perfectly for me. Although it's really not that recent anymore. The original Banjo-Kazooie was open just enough, and straightforward enough to keep me well-paced and interested. Nuts & Bolts just looks like way too much, but I'll give it a try. Posted on: 19 August 2008, 23:50:58
Also, this game called Mirror's Edge looks pretty awesome. http://www.destructoid.com/mirror-s-edge-gameplay-footage-now-in-glorious-color--100486.phtmlWatching that video, it feels like a true FPS platformer. Very linear and fast-paced, perfect for me. I hate slowing down in games that have like a million branches and pathways because I feel like it's necessary to try them ALL.
