Yeah I don't watch Youtube poop because I have a working brain, so anytime someone makes Mama Luigi or whatever reference, I don't care or get it or care to get it.

There's nothing to get, anyway. It's just a reference to the lame show.

The Mama Luigi fad isn't even funny.

But "Mama Lugi" was hilarious.

Mama Lugi was how it was spelled in some arse's sig here. The person was very very stupid and even though I showed them the correct spelling of Luigi they still failed to GRASP what was wrong with their signature.

Wait, Suda and Mikami?
What about Suda and Hideo doing Project S together?

EA'd better just be providing money.
But it sounds like EA is going to water down Suda's artistic visions, this makes me sad.

Travis? Travis!? Traaaaaaaaaaavis!!
Yeah, it'd be neat to have another Travis.

Yeah, anyway I have mixed feeling about this.
It sounds like Suda is going to stay true to his moral of 'Punk's Not Dead' and I guess it'll be dramatic like always. Sadly, I fear that Suda is going to try and do things his way but EA and Mikami are going to weigh him down.
I mean, after what Mikami's cool and all, but sometimes he's just kind of... Bleh.
My biggest fear is the EA is going to ruin everything and gobble up GHM.
Seriously, EA's becoming too powerful.
They're trying to take over the videogame world.
Now it seems Suda is going to join the victims of EA's power hungry Pac-attack.

I guess I'm a tad excited that Suda is doing stuff, but I'm still a tad worried.

I've been reading that it's going to go on all 3 current gen systems, I unno if it's true or not though. Sounds like something EA would do though

http://www.destructoid.com/pre-order-banjo-kazooie-nuts-bolts-get-banjo-kazooie-on-xbla-for-free-100283.phtml

This could be the first time I pre-order a game in a long time.
As much as I'd rather play Banjo-Kazooie on the Wii's VC, that's never going to happen, so this is instead the best news that can be given to me concerning that N64 gem and it's upcoming threequel.

For those who don't want to click: if you pre-order the new Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, you get a redeemable XBOX Live Arcade code to download the original Banjo-Kazooie for FREE weeks before it's even available on XBLA for purchase.

Oh, shush. BK and BT were fantastic and wonderful additions to the N64 library. They're both among my favorite games.

Though I can't say I'm too excited for the new game. I have plenty of doubts.

I really liked the first one. It's one of the few "Adventure" games I actually own AND have completed (::looks at Luigi's Mansion::). I only played Tooie a bit, and wasn't much of a fan. Ditching Banjo and being Kazooie was OK, I guess.

The problem with BK3 is that it's focusing on the one thing that's been turning me away from games lately: too much complexity and customization.

Don't get me wrong, I love customization. I ate MM:PU's Construction Mode up.

It's just, the menus all look so complicated and annoying and there's too MANY possibilities and it's TOO open and stuff like that.

I like simplicity in my video games. Pick up and play, but not shallow. Super Mario Galaxy was a good example of a recent-ish game that worked perfectly for me. Although it's really not that recent anymore.

The original Banjo-Kazooie was open just enough, and straightforward enough to keep me well-paced and interested.

Nuts & Bolts just looks like way too much, but I'll give it a try.

Posted on: 19 August 2008, 23:50:58

Also, this game called Mirror's Edge looks pretty awesome.

http://www.destructoid.com/mirror-s-edge-gameplay-footage-now-in-glorious-color--100486.phtml

Watching that video, it feels like a true FPS platformer. Very linear and fast-paced, perfect for me.

I hate slowing down in games that have like a million branches and pathways because I feel like it's necessary to try them ALL.

I love linear games because I can just play them. That's it. Super Metroid is about the furthest I'll go from linear, and that's still pretty linear compared to some games today.

Europe and Australia is getting Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Coins (J) again... AND Super Mario RPG.

Rejoice. I don't think Super Mario RPG ever came out officially in Europe/Australia.

EarthBound would be one of few games I might theoretically possibly kind of buy on VC. But buying a game on VC means I only might theoretically possibly kind of own the game.

It's funny because the coins are never hidden!

Or lost. Mario's wallet must be a gateway to a pocket dimension or something. How can he hold so many coins without dropping any? What does he do with them? Why doesn't he roll them? Why doesn't he use bills like normal humans?

Coins do not EQUAL Loonies. Loonies are coins, but coins aren't necessarily Loonies you poobum.

I like to think that they actually all just pennies in Mario games, and everything costs very little because everything you can buy in any given Mario game is pretty much just junk you can find outside like turtle shells, non-hallucinogenic mushrooms, feathers, and leaves. I like to think the Mushroom Kingdom lives in devastating poverty.

I mean, Bowser kidnapped the Princess in Mario 64 so he could get the cake she was baking for Mario. Because he's starving. Because the country is dirt poor. I blame the schools.

I wish that were true. I rarely have the time to play games anymore.

Of course, that makes my list even more unreasonable.

Fun Fact: I'm extremely picky about my game collection. There isn't a single "Players Choice" or "Best Seller" title on my shelves. The different case colors ##### up the aesthetic uniformity that I have going. I also don't buy used games, since I like my cases/sleeves/inserts/discs to be pristine. As a result, I buy games that I know I'll eventually want to play, that way I can avoid the second pressing cases.

Oh, I'm there with you.  I have none of that greatest hits #####.  Though I will buy used, the packaging itself must at least be in good shape.  I've pulled many a used game out of the shot case and put it into a new/newer one before.

I usually am not too picky about the cases, the 360's "best of" cases suck, they shrink the games cover image and then place a grey window around it. It's terrible. But otherwise, I really don't care if its like a PS2 game that is a bestseller, they just add that little tab at the top. Do the DS or Wii have any best sellers games? I don't think I've ever seen one.

I actually have no "Greatest Hits" games for the PS2, but I do have MMX4 on the PSX with the greatest hits label. They change the #####ing disc from shiny blue to a dull white. Ugh.
