Yeah it looks really great. Do you make the character too? I ask because I watched a couple vids that had different dudes.

That's good. First/only PS3 game I want. But I can't be getting a PS3 just for one game, of course.

To be frank, when I bought mine it was for the foremost purpose of using it as a media center.

I probably wouldn't either.

But as I have one, this is mandatory.

I'm in the same alley with ASR. I'd love to make little characters, and the previews all look real fun. Totally would get it if I had a PS3..

And we're not doing anything suspicious in that alley.

Yeah, if I had a PS3, I'd be counting down the days and hyping it and going to buy it the day it came out.

I've been really excited about LBP since I saw it at the last E3. My tablet can hook up to the PS3 so the drawing part of the game seems neat if it can work out that way; but besides that the creation seems way fun, and games with customization keep me playing nonstop.

That computer...
... wow. This guy has to be an electrical/computer engineer or someone who's going to have a bright, bright future as one.

If you can do that sort of thing, guys, you can make a Turing-class machine with LBP.
Which is basically a computer.

... assuming the PS3 can handle it, which, if LBP makes correct use of the Cell, it should be able to handle easily. Save maybe memory restrictions.

I... I want a PS3 now. And I never really cared to have one for any other reason than converting it into a Linux box before.

So, I might be getting a Beta Key for LBP.

I probably won't get my PS3 before the game comes out, so it's up for grabs.

Assuming I get one, though the chances are good on that.

Yeah, but if its like the other websites that have "First Come, First Serve", it'll be gone in a couple days.

I'm pretty sure I got my e-mail in in time.

Yes, those two "in"s are intentional.

Before LBP (which every time you guys write I think it says "Lester B. Pearson") I'd only have used a PS3 as a big external hard drive.

So, now having played the game, I can say:

If I didn't already have a PS3, I would indeed buy one for this game.

It's going to win #####-loads of awards.

My eye always twitches when I see that kind of attempt at giving the screen an "old film through the projector" look. Just how fake it is.

I personally liked to grind, but only a few parts. It has to be done right.

Remember that stage in Sonic Heroes where you do nothing but grind?

That was so dumb...

Oh, THAT kind of grinding.

Yeah, it ain't bad, but like Chaos said, I disliked it when it's the main part of the stage.

But I think only Sonic Heroes did grinding that much.

The later Sonic/Shadow stages in Sonic Adventure 2 had ##### loads of grinding with no floor what-so-ever.

Though I have to say, I DID enjoy those stages. They kept things tense.

I liked grinding, and like edge said, some stages were annoying but way cool. Like Final Weapon or rush or whatever. Theres parts where you could make HUGE leaps and falls and manage to grab a rail, it was so fun!

I agree with Chron. They were pretty crud and grinding in that game felt really... gritty, slow, tough... Something like that. Like why was grinding not fast? It's a SONIC game...

Although, like Wind and Edge, I really thought the whole "no floor" and "managing to grab a rail in a big fall" stuff was fun in spite of the actual grinding being... grindy. You'd think Sonic would wax his Soap Shoes or something. In real life when kids had Soap Shoes they waxed the rails or their grind plates...

My eye always twitches when I see that kind of attempt at giving the screen an "old film through the projector" look. Just how fake it is.

What I find extra stupid about it is that the film grain is actually on the black bars, which aren't "projected" on since they aren't part of the "screen" at all.

I used to LOVE Kirby games.

And then one day, something clicked.

And I can't play them.

I played Super Star Ultra and it only confirmed that, because not even the insane amount of nostalgia could salvage that game for me.

Fable 2: LE, Far Cry 2: LE, and Gears of War: LE are all paid off. Quantum of Solace: LE will be paid off Wednesday morning when I pick up Fable 2 and Far Cry 2. This leaves me with Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe: LE and Call of Duty: World at War - LE to pay off before the Christmas shopping season.

And then it's off to buy Prince of Persia: LE and perhaps Damnation!
