I enjoy watching Death Note parodies on YouTube. Other than that, never saw it animated in any way.  Still enjoyable, nonetheless.

If you like the manga, you really should go watch the anime.

Most of what I've read indicates the first half of the story is better paced in the Manga, but the 2nd half is better paced in the Anime (minus the ending).

I might check out the manga sometime, but it's not high on my list.

I saw the first one. It wasn't very good. In fact, it was more unintentionally hilarious.

Light is a much dumber, and emotionally weaker character in the movie, and his plans should not have worked. At all.
