Because I wanted to give the series another chance, but it failed. Now all I have to look foward to is Megaman ZX 3.

ZX is better, but not by much.

I wouldn't say I'm looking forward to another one, because I'm not. They'd have to put more time in it than they did with the other games. Otherwise, I'm not spending $35 on something that hasn't improved...

It'd be simple if they'd at least add more exploration in the map rather than just 8 bosses, final stages, and slap it into a Metroid/Castlevania-like map. Although ZXA had more models/DNA data over the first and I consider that better than ZX, I still prefer something more. It's still not enough for me to go back and replay it, unlike Mega Man 9.

They won't improve ZX. They'd rather made a poor sequel or let it die.

No, the forms were used to cover basic move sets.  You had to change forms to jump, then change back to crawl, then change back to air dash, then change back to dash, etc etc etc... I know what they were TRYING to do with that mechanic, but it failed utterly.  In Classic or X (or hell, even Zero) you could change weapons to blow up barriers, but you NEVER had to constantly change weapons to move like you do in ZX.  So what do they do in ZXA?  ADD MORE #####ING FORMS with the same problems.

Well, I understand Rez's issues there, but I never had a big problem with those.

But for the bosses, I found some of them useful, so whatever.

But some were utterly useless.

They had too many things to transform into, I was surprised model OX wasn't included into the mix. It kind of learned from ZX's problem; the models weren't put to much use (like model L..), but they overdid it for ZXA, you have to transform into one boss to clear something, and then seconds later you have to transform into someone else and clear up some other #####.

Anyway, SF3 is apparently a whole lot better than the first two, according to people who got the leaked game 2 days before it was released in Japan-land anyway..

I saw the other forms like that was a plus, besides the fact that a lot of them were useless bosses, but I do believe they should've done something more interesting with them. Both games are either too short or not enough for me.

Wanna know what they should do?

SF and BN are different games with megaman characters slapped on to it in order to increase sales.

Nah, that's just BN4-6 and StarForce.

Bn1 to 3, while it just seemed like an RPG sort of game with MegaMan characters, were actually pretty damn good games. And besides... At least there's actually more than one MegaMan character in BN, unlike StarForce where the "MegaMan" is the ONLY MegaMan character there while all the others are retarded looking "original" characters.

4-6, was obviously Capcom whoring it to death.

And StarForce is just beating it to death.

Yeah, the first BN stuff referenced other MM series all day. Servbots even appeared in it. It didn't really take itself too seriously until 4, where as before it was just fun and it made it's little allusions to real MM stuff and gave new concepts on old themes.

Battle Network had a DELICIOUS Mega Man flavor to it.  Capcom took out a kettle and mixed in all the best parts of the Mega Man mythos.  It was Mega Man, but not at the same time.  It very successfully took the character concepts/designs from Classic and reinvented them to be both familiar and different at the same time in a different continuity and direction that was both whimsical and fun.  It also had a lot of allusions to other things Mega Man besides classic (servbots, data, etc) which added more concrete grounding to the mythos.  The games were light hearted and fun with a nice RPG feel to them without being an out and out RPG.  Then someone came up to the kettle and took a ##### in it, and we had Battle Network 4-6.  The end.
