I love the current set of voices for the characters.  Zero's voice actor (What was his name?  Um... Lucas Gilbertson?) in particular has improved vastly.  He's almost completely dropped the "surfer dude" inflection he had in CM and X8.

The only thing I don't like about MHX is that it follows the screwed-up canon proposed by Inti.  But maybe that's for the better.  It means Inti doesn't have to target X1 - it's got MHX instead!

Yeah, Zero's voice actor is pretty awesome now. The stupidest line, though (and I know this isn't the actors faul) "I WON'T LET YOU PUSH MY FRIENDS AROUND LIKE THAT!" I don't know, I just HATE when people start spitting out things like that, it's really annoying.

X's voice actor is...okay, he's not too great, he's not terrible.

Yeah. Too many animes and videogames concentrate on the "Friendship" card.

Which is stupid considering how much and fast your group of friends changes as you get older, and most animes are kids ages 12-17. Only some of the friends you have when you're 12-17 carry over into your adult life.

There's always a thing that I wanted to ask since I've seen the MHX movie!

Does Dr. Cain actually DIE from that explosion? Because it sure looks that way.

The only evidence on this subject is in the actual video. One can assume he's dead, yes. He was going to die soon anyway.

Well, Dr. Cain DOES dissapear after X3, doesn't he?

Oh wait, I think he has one line of text in X4 but you don't actually see him.

Damn, Capcom should really work on remembering important characters more.

Cain rebuilt Zero in X2, once you have the parts for him.

Dr Cain's mentioned in X4's manual, so he's still around during X4.

That doesn't explain why he suddenly disappears.

My best bet is that Capcom got tired of him and decided not to mention him anymore in the newer games.

I can see it now.

In MHX4, X and Zero will fight the Colonel in the mid-stage level.  Then at the spaceport we'll see the Colonel wants to talk with X or Zero about a peaceful solution.  Upon going there you find out the Colonel is dead.  X and Zero were set up and Repliforce summons a giant mechaniloid to fight you.

X:  X encounters Double and fights him.  We learn that Double killed the Colonel to set up the maverick hunters and he is working for someone else (Sigma).  He dies and X finds survellance footage of Double killing the Colonel, manages to contact Zero and Iris (Who are fighting in another area of final weapon) and shows the footage to them.  This prevents Iris from going through with her revenge and breaks down to cry.  Zero comforts her and X tells them both to leave.

Zero:  Zero is accused by Iris that he killed her brother.  They fight and Zero begs Iris to stop.  X contacts Zero and tells them to stop fighting and shows him the footage of Double killing the Colonel (Anime cutscene).  Iris breaks down and cries.  Zero comforts and tells her to go with X and leave.

Or something like that.

Inti's rewriting of MMX canon kills Cain.  I have no desire to see any more MHX games.  The first four X games are about as close to perfection as you can get.  I'm sick of Inti #####ting on Mega Man.  No more MHX.  At all.

Well, indirectly at least.  MHX seems to be using THEIR #####ed-up version of canon, so even if they aren't directly involved in its creation, they've still got a hand in it.

Enemies dealt more damage, bosses used more attacks.

I think that's about it. X may have had less health too.

Sting Chameleon used a lot more spikes in his battle, and he was faster.

I never got to seen any of Spark Mandrill's attacks.

I don't remember the other differences.

Lawld. Shotgun Ice is such a cheap weapon to use against Spark Mandrill. I don't think I ever saw any of his attacks, since I guessed his weakness vorrectly the first time I played X.
