Because the weapons disintegrate after extended periods of non-use.
The ones that don't get sent to the museum, which you get to see in MMZ4 if you can find the pig and take it back to HQ.

Because they were still suffering from the delusion that it was a Mega Man game and not their own seperate franchise, so they had to do the lose-all-your-weapons dealio.

They could've just stuck with changing the EX skills instead, the chain rod should have been kept. That ##### was wicked.

Because they were all dumb and they kept on trying to make a good weapon, but failed every time.

You clearly don't understand the appeal of Mega Man.

I'm sure you go on Metroid forums and ask why Samus doesn't keep his Super Missles from one game to another and then you find out she's a girl and ##### bricks.

It's not, but the whole idea of MM hinges on the changeable weapons. To question it is to questions the Word.

In as much as Light sent his only begotten son to die against Zero (lol) to redeem mankind and all we did to pay him back was make terrible #####ing threads, like the "Why so much weapon change between games???"

That actually sounds really fun.

I hate to say it.

But it does.

He does, man. He keeps them in the museum and he sleeps with them every night.
I'm telling you, go get the pig in MMZ4 and take it back to HQ and you get to go to Zero's house, AKA the weapons museum.

That was a little uncalled for TLO.

Actually, it was more humorously random on my end than it was "uncalled for".

Down the street from a Kroger shopping center and a Wal-Mart in Marietta, Georgia lies an arsenal. The Empire Swords shop looks unassuming enough from the outside, but once you step through the doors...

Swords, axes, staves, and daggers line the walls. Racks filled with cruel-looking implements of destruction stand before giant sets of armor. Every possible surface contains metal instruments that could kill in the right hands, from butterfly knives to broadswords taller than your average man.

The video game sword replica business is a multi-million dollar industry which has grown in great leaps and bounds over the past several years. From Prince of Persia to Mortal Kombat to Halo, new weapons come to market at an astounding rate, selling out nearly as quickly as the local sellers can import them.

I like that this time it actually kind of had something to say, but it was still completely not the point.

It was relevant in the way that the kid trying to fit in hears one word in a conversation with the cool kids and then he tries to tell a story that he thinks has something to do with what they're talking about but it really doesn't and then they give him a wedgie and a swirly and my childhood sucked.
