Rock Band.

QFT, but I've also always loved Dead or Alive.

As fun as it would be to play "Won't Get Fooled Again", I'd rather not have to own Rock Band to do it.

Regardless, don't we already have a Guitar Hero thread?

And yeah, I seem to prefer Rock Band over Guitar Hero lately.

And I still say the first Rock Band has the best track list out of any of those similar games up until that. Which means GH1, 2, 3 and Rock Band.

Haven't played GH:WT, but Rock Band 2 has a decent enough soundtrack, and you can export the first game's onto it anyway, so it's even better.

Rock Band 2 > Guitar Hero: World Tour.

It's not hard to tell that the brains behind the original Guitar Hero titles are now making Rock Band. The game is just generally tighter, hosts a better track list, and syncs your button pressing with the music much, much better.

Neversoft only knows how to make Tony Hawk games.

Oh wait... those aren't very good/fresh anymore either.

The first Rock Band was definitely the better one in comparison to GH3, for the reasons you already said.

And even though I can't officially compare RB2 with GHWT yet, I'm pretty sure I made the right choice.

RB2 is a fun party game, but GHWT is a better single player experience.

That doesn't even begin to make sense since they're now practically the same game with minor tweaks.

Rock Band just has more polish from what I HAVE seen.

I think he means there's more one-player content in World Tour... due to its arduous unlocking process.

I have World Tour now, and it's a tough call between that and Rock Band 2.

Of course, I have a Wii, so I don't have much of an option.
I like what I've seen of World Tour though.

The song creator in World Tour.
The top songs out for download are pretty much all Megaman remixes.
MM2Dr.Wily is fun as hell.

The 360 version of the song creator is superior though, it sounds like actual guitar, while the Wii version sounds like midi.

I'll admit that I am interested in the song creator.

It takes a lot of work to get the hang of.

Don't skip the tutorial.

That song creator just might make me choose World Tour... unless of course Rock Band introduces that too.

Don't get it for the Wii if you're interested in the song creator.

The Song Creator wasn't enough to win me over, anyway. It's cool, but as Mike already put it a while ago: too little too late.

Of course. I'll get it for the 360 if I do get it.

And I only have GHII and I got that a year ago, so I might get this.

If I was to get one, it would probably be the FIRST Rock Band, actually. I don't really care about RB2 yet, or GHWT, as I haven't checked out much of either tracklist or care to.

I enjoy these types of games, but not owning them so much, so I'd choose the one with the best sync. Which is apparently Rock Band.

Oh wait... those aren't very good/fresh anymore either.

... I like THAWwwww... But it was rather glitchy... yeah. Yeah. Nevermind.

Definitely get the first Rock Band if you have to.

The single best tracklist out of any of the releases so far. Though I still haven't looked at World Tour's, I doubt it can beat the first Rock Band's.

GH3 has Heart, RATM, and Disturbed in one tracklist. That is great alone, and then it has a myriad of other songs I love.

But other than GH3 the only one of this type of game that isn't DDR that I've played was GH2. Which also had RATM.

GH3's tracklist is definitely fantastic, too.

World Tour's tracklist has some spectacular songs.

Hell, it has La Bamba and Santeria.
