If all your answers are checked as "Unsure", it says your candidate is Obama.

If you guys want Stephen Harper you can come get him.

I did Edge's link just for the #####s, but I don't know who most of the people are other than "Maverick" (and seriously if I ever hear that word again it'll be too soon. The only Maverick I roll with is the Top Gun), horsefaced moron huntress, and O-Bomb, 'cause, you know, they're on TV all the time.

I like how Jaker assumes everyone is from the US.

By like, I mean that it makes me ashamed to live there.

He also assumes everyone plays WoW, GH, and likes to read the opposite of anything that could be called literature.

Votes needed to win: 270.
McCain: 147.
Obama: 297.

According to the CBC.

We have it playing on the TV in my room, and there's a lot of people in here being loud enough for me to be sure that Obama has won.

It even said "Obama Elected President" on the TV with a fancy little graphic above the scrolling bar things on the bottom with all the percentages and stats.

I have an Obama t-shirt. It was a gift. I don't totally like it (the design is bleh compared to others I've seen, it's just a photo of him smiling or something) but it looks like it's a piece of history after all so I'll keep it forever. Might wear it tomorrow, but I don't know.

McCain just did his little speech. Was good. Sensible. Smart. Other than the Palin (or however it's spelled) part because she is actually a big walking pile of crud to me.

Exactly my thoughts on that.
That's the real McCain; he's actually a cool guy when you get rid of all of the Palin/Republican Manifesto stuff.

But yes, Obama will be the next president in the US. It's a good feeling.
I've got a little shred of hope again.

I'm not. Not if he won the latin vote, anyway. I don't know if he did, but if he did there's a large Cuban population in Florida.

I've yet to take in (or register) the scope of it all. Though people are asking me if it's a big deal to me because I'm biracial too.

I don't know how to answer that really. I mean... Well when you're biracial you don't really get to have any racial identity since you're never anything, so I don't know if I identify as "biracial" really. Like if I was 100% black, and he was 100% black maybe it'd be different. Maybe not, I can't really say 'cause I'll never know.

Of course I care about it even though it's not my country, like... I try not to watch it all since I'm gonna get bombarded with it anyway whether I try or not. I care, but I don't care that he's biracial. That's just like a bonus feature. Corvettes drive the same, white or black.

What I'm mostly interested in right now, is the world view now. This is something I learned from Miss USA 2007 (yes, I never thought I'd say I learned anything from a professional beauty pageantist) on some show, to paraphrase; "Miss USA can't be Miss Universe. Miss USA doesn't have a 'world look.'"

That concept, applied to the leader of a nation, is something very interesting to me, since basically 85+ percent of my entire life has been wrapped up in trying to figure out racial issues.

My girlfriend is biracial.

If she was 18 she would have voted McCain.
Mainly on religious conformity.

Anyways, America will be better in 4 years than it is now. And it'll be better than if McCain as elected.

Yeah but now all us darker kids get to join in on presidential parody, so who knows.

By the way, this speech. Right now. In this year, in this election. Is awesome.

It really was a great speech, I must say.
Can't wait for the inaugural address.

He won Florida, and that makes me happy.

It makes me very unhappy that my county and everything surrounding it went McCain, but then I'm not really surprised since that kind of person is the typical citizen in this area.

There honestly isn't that much difference between Obama and McCain when it comes down to it.

Everybody needs to relax a bit.

High School never ends.

I would have preferred if Ron Paul had won, but since he wasn't an option, I don't think things are as bad as they could have been.

I'm really tired of people yelling that the sky is going to fall though. Seriously, he's only got four years. Unless he starts launching nukes at everyone, I'm fairly certain that the world isn't about to end.

Someone I know expressed concern today that, because Obama was elected, terrorists were going to attack the local mall...

... In Wisconsin...

...In a town of just over 60,000 people...

It's like #####ing 9/11 all over again.

OMG A TERRIST IS GONNA FLY A PLANE INTO MY HOUSE!!!

"Terrorists", and the rest of the world, would/will possibly identify better with Obama than U.S. presidents in the past. He has a more "World" look. As I mentioned earlier;

The only thing I've heard from McCain supporters up here is that people will be "sorry" they voted for Obama, and that there might be riots.

Here.

In Hamsterville.

Between Seattle and Vancouver.

Where the atmosphere is so calm that the pot wafting through only makes you sleepy or gives you a headache.

Also because, y'know, there totally wasn't a party in the streets downtown here when the local university kids found out. Nope.

Nor a #####ing impromptu parade. With drums and flags and campus security.

Ahh.
