Very surprising indeed.
I probably would vote for Final Fantasy because I have been highly unimpressed with the entire series ever since FFVII. Sims and Pokemon could use a retirement as well. Megaman (meaning the classic series and the X series) however, shouldn't be just dropped off but -completed- sometime soon. I think.

My friend suggested that I use some sort of... sparklies but I refused because every Elf X cosplayer that I have ever seen did that, and it looked terrible.
I was going to make a helmet but... I failed... badly. And I didn't want to pay someone to make it either though I probably should have.
Still, it got the point enough.

After June 11th, I won't be on at all until September because I only have net access at school. I'll probably check my email and stuff while at friend's houses, so you can contact me that way if you want. Go to my profile for all contact information.

But I'm not entirely keen on the light Cecil. I don't dig the whole guys who look like girls genre.
I think you might have to give into this though... It is a major 'fad' in Japan (has been for hundreds of years, actually) and it's not going away anytime soon. You might not like it, I'm not asking you to, but I hope you can tolerate it, for your sake. Rydia = best FF girl ever. She even comes in both loli and non loli flavor to suit everyone's tastes!
Rydia = <3 Not only is she NOT annoying, she's one of the most useful characters ever. And her being eye candy is a bonus! <3 And... she's green, my favorite color <3!! Rydia was the only female FF character other than Celese (I hope I spelled that right...) and Terra that I have NEVER wanted to kill or ignore completely. These new FF games (ever since FFVII *cringe*) have just lost their touch to me. I just can't get into them and most of them are annoying and redundant. I love the music though, and the art, but I don't think I'll be playing any of the newer Final Fantasies other than remakes, anytime soon. V.v;

MegaMan Series / ZX Series / Re: How many protagonists do you think there will be?
|
on: 20 May 2008, 15:46:08

Even though I haven't played this series yet- I hope they won't overload the series with protagonists. A good series actually should only have maybe one or two protagonists, several sub-characters, and a few antagonists. The main reason why I personally hated X7 was because Axl stepped in as a protagonist when the entire X series is supposed to focus on X primarily and then Zero.

Is anyone excited about the remake of Final Fantasy IV/II for the DS which will be coming out in July? I personally am completely stoked, this has been my second favorite Final Fantasy (next to VI) for my entire life. This game also is one of the earliest games I remember seeing. I can't wait to play it in English and see the improvements to plot, character development, artwork and game play. V.V I'm gushing.... http://www.square-enix.co.jp/ff4ds/Sorry Japanese only, you can look it up on Youtube and Gamestop online probably.

MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Which Megaman Series Had The Best Character Designs?
|
on: 20 May 2008, 15:34:16
|
It's a tough call... I had a hard time choosing between X and Battle Network actually. Because this is personal opinion there can be no correct answer.
Looking specifically at the character designs alone- the X series certainly has variety in armor designs and antagonist designs not to mention some very memorable and highly recognizable characters. Meanwhile, the Battle Network series, although many of the designs are redundant, each navi has their own navi-mark, a specific design catered to them. Also in the BN series the characters are more smooth and clear in their designs- so there isn't much confusion as to what a certain part of their bodies do (like Dr. Doppler's shoulder wire... things).
For this one, I have to say Battle Network had the best designs.

Not in any order.
1.) Working in Japan. 2.) Werewolves. Don't ask why. 3.) Men approaching me on the street at night. Thats actually some pretty damn scary #####.
I'm not really afraid of any sort of bugs or animals (other than the werewolf thing)... Maybe if the animal is attacking me.

I actually rather liked Maverick Hunter X, but I voted for X1 because that's the one I liked the best out of the given choices. I really -hated- X4, sorry, and it's not just the English voice dub that got me. There was just something that irked me about it. The music was pretty good though.
X5 is also high on my list, but it's not all that challenging, and X6 is also high up there because I found it fun to play, though the Engrish could have been remedied, however amusing Sigma's final lines were.
X8 was a fun and beautiful game, but not all that good. >.<

#####, the most awesome thing happened this weekend. I found Star Wars Knights of the Republic at Game Stop for $10. Bought it, naturally, and now have been playing it. It's been a long time since I played though, so I'm a little rusty.
Here this though, I'm not a fan of Star Wars, I couldn't tell you a single thing about the series, but I really like this game.

I'll judge it when or if I see it. I really don't like most 'reviews' for movies. I might be afraid of some things, but I'm not going to let what other people think hinder my own actions.

Except in X5 when TWO of him appear with X in one of the fortress stages (the one before Sigma with the X vs. Zero battle)
That's the only time you see him actually 'in game' I think. The rest is during cut scenes. I knew he was a medic of some sort but it seemed odd that you never really got to see him use his skills to aid you during the game. Even Douglass helped you during the game (story-plot-wise).

You guys really make me guffaw. Just you wait and when I finally get a Ph. D in English, I'll be teaching your children and maybe even you. I can't wait to become a professor or maybe I might become a pedagogue. I just hope that I'll still be able to play mega man even when I'm older.
Listen, I think you're a smart guy, I don't doubt that- however your usage of the English language makes you SOUND unnatural, fake, egotistical, vain, snobbish and holier-than-thou, to be completely blunt, and no one likes an incessant know-it-all. You can be a master of the English language all you want, however when you start making yourself sound like some pompous spoiled nobleman by using the language in ways that just are NOT natural for this time, you're going to turn people off. You can be a master at English AND not be annoying on this forum- there's a time and place for your 'talent' I'm sure, but I think that's not on a forum if you don't want to get ridiculed.

Someguy, you look like you're having a barrel full of fun there.
My voice? It kinda sounds like Leela's voice from Futurama when I play it back on a machine... and others tell me my voice sounds like that too. To me, though, I sound like X from X4 O.o.... though deeper in pitch...

Precisely. That, and it has that bathroom music feel.
Oddly enough, I didn't find this song to be THE most annoying. I think the most annoying song would probably be "Oops! I Did it Again" Just because of the monotony. Anything with a constant melody to that extreme is probably going to get pretty damn annoying real quick.

I got pretty damn bored with the GTA games a long time ago. I was pissed last week when X Play and Attack of the Show were reporting on JUST GTA more or less. Yes, it's an anticipated game, yes it's going to make thousands of people happy, but it doesn't mean you have to drown everyone in GTAness.
I'm a little irritated with the gaming industry now.
In any event- I dug out my Super Nintendo finally and have been enjoying playing Chrono Trigger, Super Mario World, and this odd game called Demon's Crest.

Walking back home, I saw a dead armadillo. I almost stepped on it.
That is the most sad news I've heard all day... Today I was forced to agree to take my girls to Laser Quest (awesome 'theme park' in where you shoot at each other in an obstacle course with laser guns) here in Spokane, I would have been happier about it other than the fact that I feel really sick.
