MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Is there going to be any new Megaman X Games???
|
on: 25 September 2008, 20:07:42

Powered Up is in 3D.
X7 was an attempt to 3D gameplay and it was an abomination. X8 went back to more of a 2D style, so I disagree. Capcom will do whatever gets their sales goin'. They know the Classic Mega Man, X, Zero, and ZX games are 2D platformers and they'll stick to a working formula.
I highly highly HIGHLY doubt Capcom's dumb enough to make an X9 a virtual copy of X7.
I agree that Capcom will do what they know sells, which is usually stickin' to what they know works OR trying to throw something drastically new at fans or possibly keeping up with technology. I don't think Capcom will try to push out another X7-ish game for the X series, the game was not successful as they went right back to side-scrolling for X8 after their stint with Command Mission. The next game(s) they push out for the X series will either be in 2D, 3D side-scrolling or (if they want to attempt it again) 3D like Command Mission.

He used to be awesome... Just like a whole lot of classic characters... Now I get irrationally mad whenever someone mentions "Sonic". I can't even eat at Sonics because of this...

Metroid Prime... and discovering why I stopped playing first-person shooting games. I really like it, but I'm not very good. I've been stuck for about 5 days now trying to kill this annoying Omega Pirate with a 'witchy-poo' hat.
I've also been playing Mario RPG off and on.

It's an unfortunate fact that on both sides of my family, alcoholism is prevalent. So far only my mother and myself have refrained from drinking. My brother drinks like a fish and lives in the basement when he's 27, and my aunt died last year from an alcohol induced heart attack. Once in a while (meaning for celebration) is fine. But right now I'm really going to stay away from the bottle.

MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: The Mega Man Collection Topic

I own the cartridge of Mario RPG. One of the best games ever made. OoT, not so much. I've been playing Mario RPG off and on all summer... I didn't think other people really thought much of it. I guess I'm just at the right age to truly have enjoyed such games when they first came out and remember them. As for a Megaman collection... I so far have all of the X series, original (minus 9) and Zero (even though it's not Megaman technically) and Battle Network games.

Oookay. Today really is my final day for being here. But I'll be back around September 22nd. I might stop by once in a while, but visits will be few and far in between. This summer I will be working mostly and doing a lot of traveling- who knows I might get to meet a couple of you. Note: I am NOT going to Texas or Florida EVER.
Have a bitchin summer.

Wow this thread has turned into what deviant art should be! People actually criticizing works of art.
In any event, Otaku, don't pay any mind to the occasional stupid and thoughtless jabber which might come from this forum... or from the internet for that matter. If you're going to post stuff online, be prepared for some mean feedback because the net is just like that.
As for being a copy-artist... people, it helps artists become better. When I was young, that's all I did until I was about 14 when I started to draw on my own without references and I was pretty impressed with what I could pull out. I believe it is necessary to first crawl before you run. Otaku is doing just that. Give her a few years and who knows how good she'll be without references.

No one is talking about because it IS MMZ.
The book is only up for pre-order. It's not for sale yet just for the pre-order for when it does eventually come out. I know this because I had Amazon.com alert me if/when it was available.
I want this item because of the artwork mostly and I did enjoy some parts of the series, most of it was crap, but I am fond of some things.
Oh shaddap, you know at least 60% of the people here WILL get it at one point. You all have apparently played ZX or Ryuusei.

Pft. Standardized testing tells people nothing about your true academic performance. I hated taking the SATs so much. I also hated the WASL and other standard tests.
Anyway, today I drew quite a bit. I'm proud of my stuffs.

Another fan-made game? You hear people doing this on and off again; as with the people who wanted to re-make Chrono Trigger, they are just going to get a cease and desist letter from Capcom if they even DARE to try and sell it. If they just make it for their own amusement it's one thing, but selling is off limits.
But the better question is this; why would anyone WANT a Battle Network 7??

Oooh, I know!
A place that's fun to be on and has great members!
Plus the occasional jokes are a blast.
Clever! Something so under appreciated. Rama, I love the low pressure test.
"Given enough time, the proper resources, and access to some really toxic stuff, one can probably dissolve just about anything except Peep eyes." I like the soluble tests the best, but the low pressure test is also quite hilarious. As for the Jesus site, yes, it's serious unfortunately. That's how some people actually think and feel is best to tell a child. BRAINWASHING. >.> Freaky.

Also, I've never heard of that game before, Rama. Must be a regional thing.
I don't think it's regional... Not the average teenager knows it I think, I think it's more of a sub-culture thing. If you like anime there's a chance you know about the game. By the way, you just lost.

Drawing, oh bad things happen (in most guy's opinion) when I draw. Sano should know.
In High School, a lot of my friends did the whole "Let's take someone's hand and make them feel up someone they don't like!" and they got suspended because they were too stupid to not think that teachers actually watch the activities in the hall.
Ahhh... High School... most aggravating period in my life...

I'm glad you admitted you're stupid, because I'm going to tell you that that is THE MOST STUPID THING I HAVE HEARD TODAY. I'm glad you didn't die, and I hope you learned your lesson. That game is more dangerous than people think.
Oh well, tis' the time to experiment.
Good job for living. Eat a donut.
